The director of camp, Kris Light is "flaky" and I feel he puts on a act. |

Best camp in the world. The staff, the motto, the interest groups, the opportunities, the experiences, everything is amazing. This camp has shaped me in a way that is inexplicably incredible and I am so grateful for it. |

I went to this camp for 9 years - from the age of 7 to high school - and it was the most amazing place I have ever gone. I have done every program, walked every inch of the facilities, and spent weeks of my life here and I have so many fantastic memories and experiences. No camp could ever top Merrowvista. Yes, it is a very athletic camp, but the morning excercise is actually optional. Life there is very scheduled, but all based off the interests and desires of the children who attend. Their philosophy hits home as a young child and just makes you feel good about yourself. You often feel moved by the songs and stories of friendship and togetherness. When it comes to their hiking, biking, and canoeing trips, the counselors are always sensitive to the athletic abilities of their campers. You will be pushed, but never past your limits. If you are considering sending your child here all I can say is "Do it, do it, do it!" You will not regret it. |

This is a great camp. The staff/counselors are fun and mature enough to be good role models. The facilities are top notch - many new buildings. The camp has a beautiful natural setting. Best of all, the camp teaches values of healthy friendships and developing your best self via fun and challenging activities. Highly reccommended. |

Excellent camp! The counselors are really great- they are older (college age) than at some camps and my daughter loves all of them. The camp is adventure based- the campers stay on site for only part of the time and go off on hiking, biking and canoeing trips. It's a great way to spend the summer (camping and enjoying the great outdoors) and my daughter learned a lot about biking, camping, hiking and being safe while away from home. The camps philosophy encourages children to be their best and strive to learn new things. It's an awesome place with excellent leaders- my daughter was so lucky to find it and wants to go back every summer. |

Great staff - they were very interested in my child's interests and helping him have a great experience. I appreciated the intentional approach they took, and found them exceptionally responsive to my questions, e-mails and calls. |

Its a great camp if you like to exercise a lot. You have to wake up at 7:00 a.m. and run/walk or swim or canoe. you also go on hiking trips if your 12 and your going for 3 weeks you'll probably do a 6 mile hike and a canoe trip. I dont like to hike so i didnt like it but if you like to do a lot of exercise and hike its a great camp for you. I also loved the staff there nice and fun. |
