I had an issue this summer where my 5 year old daughter fell and hurt her tongue. I was called immediately. What showed me how well my daughter was being taken care of was that when I arrived, she was sitting in "Uncle Jeff's" lap with ice on her tongue, and didn't immediately lunge for me. In fact, I sat next to her for 10 minutes before I offered to take over. If my shy daughter prefers to cuddle in a staff member's lap for 10 minutes instead of grabbing for Mommy, THAT shows me how confortable my kids are, and how well they are treated. What a great, nurturing camp. |

My kids have been at Holland for 3 years and I have nothing negative to say. The staff is attentive and caring, and my kids LOVE it! The huge water slide is their favorite. The arts & crafts projects that come home are impressive (and with 2 girls, that's important!) The counselors know my kids and always take care of them. It's a great place to be. We love HDC! |

I have gone to/ worked at this camp for 4 years, the facilities are fairly gross actually it's mostly the bathrooms because kids go when they're from the pool so they're wet, which makes the floors wet and gross. The camp itself is so great though! Most of the staff is great, (I'm only a Junior Counselor) the main goal is for the kids to have fun. They all play SO many games everyday, arts & crafts, and of course swimming. The owner of the camp is one of the sweetest ladies I've ever met in my life. Overall the camp is fun, and a great experiance, it's not the BEST camp around, but it is a good one. :) |
