i had a blast at ekon last year. it was my first year the only thing i didnt like was the programs we did with all the cabins. it was centered around the little kids (deer hut)and wasnt enjoyed by the older kids (bear hut). i myself is not the biggest fan of swimming so when we did the group activities i asked if i could not do one that involved swimming the counselors still made me. but verall i made the best friends i have ever had:) |

This is the best camp ever!!!! If i was allowed to spend m whole summer there i woukd even though i do lot of other thing i love i would live there in the summer |

Camp Ekon is the best place you can possibly send your kids for the summer. I started going when I was 10, now I'm 18, and I don't regret a single minute I've spent up on beautiful Lake Joe. When I'm older, my kids will be ekon campers too. I'm telling you, this camp changes people for the better. Best experience of my life - I would recommend it to absolutely everyone. Carrying the heavy load and looking out for the little guy are great mantras to live by. |

My children experienced their first overnight camp at Ekon and seven months later are still talking about! It was a truly wonderful experience for them. They will be back, and they can't wait! The spirit of EKON lives on!! |

I went to Ekon when i was 11, i have been to many camps including ponacka, manitou and muskoka woods. out of all of them ekon was by far the worst experiance. It was just overall boring. muskoka woods was much better when i got older and could do all the activities. ponacka was very good when you are young, being away for a month at 9 is alot but ive never been homesick since. Manitou is a very good camp right in the middle of muskoka woods and ponacka style wise. Ekon just doesnt compare to these other camps. |

Camp Ekon has taught me soo much!! every year its ALWAYS different!!! i dont remember the last time i was home sick, right, when i was 8 the first day and i havent been home sick since and i am now 14, so you can imagine the amount of time the camp staff and directors put into Camp Ekon and it shows 1000 PERCENT! i have blast at Camp and can nott wait to start this year off!! im excited to go and love it! even my family loves it(that includes MY PARENTS!!) yes alot of my family has gonce there and yes we have never switched camps!! it is our little place that has soo many memories, Camp Ekon is a place where i have met my best friends and had so many good memories that it is impossible to compet with! if your thinking of going to a camp like muskoka woods, please dont, camp ekon is orignal and shows you the meanin of carring the heavy load and lookin out for the lil guy, it isnt a resort and that is why many people consider camp ekon. CAMP EKON RULES! I LOVE IT! |

camp ekon is most definately the best camp i've ever gone to... and i've gone to a couple of those. i mean, no matter what you're doing there, you're always having a good time. the instructions are all BOMB, and the staff is always so much fun. i can't wait to go back this summer! |

CAN SUMMER BE EVERY WEEKEND? i miss this place soo much when i'm not there. the counsellors are amazing the campers are amazing too. And if the sunset from the AC deck doesnt take your breath away...i don't know what will. |

I have been going to Ekon since I was 8, I am now 13. I go to Ekon seeking friends and adventure. And thats excatly what I get. The staff is AMAZING and the activities keep me going for HOURS!!! The best part of going to Camp is the people I meet. I meet people from around the WORLD!!! and yet I still i'm friends with them. The staff at Camp Ekon teach you many things and make sure no one is left out. The main lesson that Camp Ekon staff teach you is, "To carry the heavy load" meaning, do more than asked and help those on need. I'm am still learning about this now even though I have been going for 5 years. There is so muched learned at Camp that will help people with the future. I love Camp Ekon and always will!!:D |

This camp has the very very best of everything! They've got some brand new, super nice facilities (like 5 star hotels), but then also more rustic feeling facilities, so it's good for whatever you like better. The staff are really well trained and can educate and entertain really well. And there are plenty of staff to pay attention to each camper. There are also tons of cool things to do at camp, with activities for everyone so you can never be bored and never not have fun. The other campers are great also, I met some of my best friends there. But what I think is the best part is the location. Camp Ekon is the most beautiful looking camp with the most incredible looking views. Can't wait to go back to camp again...best way to spend the summer!! |

this camp is sick..i love it...thats all i want to do in summer is go to ekon and thats what ive done for the past 4 years..this summer will be my fifth year!i love it...cant get enough of it...food is great...counsellors are joookes! |

Haha. Ekon = Best camp ever. I've been going ther for 5 years, and I love it! People say the facilities could be better, but I believe they're the best when they're... "rustic". I've been in the new cord hut and old one, and the old one was SO MUCH BETTER. The new one feels like I'm sleeping in a five-star hotel. Not cool. Haha some of the stuff they expect you to believe is pretty farfetched, but the cool kids go a long with it anyways, because they're just that cool. :) The councillors are amazing, activities are fun and the memories are priceless. And don't forget... OBLIO HAS A POINT! |

Counsellors very imaginative and dedicated; facilities are starting to show their age but are being updated (new Cord Hut is beautiful); activities creative and exciting; staff very well-trained and small ratios allow for lots of personal attention-know how to handle special needs, homesickness, bullying etc with aplomb and competence; inexpensive camp but provides many memories for the money! My family has been sending its' children to Camp Ekon for over ten years and the love that our kids have for the camp is unreal. You can really tell that the staff love the place and are very excited to cultivate the same love for the place in the campers that they experienced. I recommend the two-week sessions after your child's first year or two as one week can seem too short for some children. You may be tempted to send your child to a larger or fancier summer camp but I highly recommend Camp Ekon as it truly gives you that rustic but wonderful summer camp experience. |

the counsellors are hilarious!!! the facilities could be better, the activities are fun and creative (but lots of times it is rediculous what they expect us to belive.. they know how to handle homesickness and alot of other personal stuff. this is a non profit camp!!! it is soo good!!. there is optional mass, lots of activities and even and overnight trip to an island!!! (this is all sounding like an advertisement) i love this camp!!!! i made soo many friends. the location is perfect. the food is good too. this is a camp rin by jesuits. COME TO THIS CAMP!!!! |
