3/7/13   5     5     5     5     5   My kids have had wonderful summers at Eagle Hill. The camp is well maintained and clean, the kids and staff are friendly and down to earth, the directors are good people and my kids tell me that the food is "delicious". Just a really nice place.  RID: 43914

Click to report rating    8/16/12   5     3     3     3     2   My kid loved his counselors. He said the kids and staff were very friendly. The facilities, cabins, equipment, etc are all rustic, everything seems outdated, I was told there were issues with the water. Walking around it just seems like this camp is run as frugally as possible. One other challenge is that the camp directors can be very difficult to reach during the summer. But if you're looking for a FUN place for your kid to meet lot's of friends from all over the world and good counselors who are true role models, THIS is the place!!!  RID: 42399

6/5/10   5     5     5     5     5   Love this camp. So excited for this upcoming summer. It's pretty small which is good so you get to know practically everyone in the camp. The evening activities are usually fun and there's trips every week. For upper campers, there is a 3 day or 8 day trip second half which is extremely fun. If you're looking for a camp that you'll remember, I recommend CEH.  RID: 32915

Click to report rating    10/10/08   3     1     1     1     1   Yeah I went there for five years when I was a kid. Stopped going there in 06 I believe. First three-four years I hated but last was okay. Diversity in nationality of staff is great, but the administration I didn't like to much. I don't talk to anyone that I used to go there with anymore. -Camper in training. =P You know who I am.  RID: 26952

Click to report rating    10/6/08   5     5     5     5     5   Our daughter loved this place- she loved everything about it and will definitely return, as will our other kids when their turns come to go away for a month or a summer. We would recommend this camp to any family that is looking for a place where their kids will be looked after and nutured, where they can grow and establish great friendships, and learn a little more about who they are in a positive, fun atmosphere!  RID: 26916

Click to report rating    8/27/08   5     5     5     5     5   Best 7 weeks of my life. The people are friendly, and the general atmosphere is pretty laid back, but not too laid back. Just the right balance of activities and relaxation. I went to Scatico for 2 years, and it was pretty terrible. I begged by parents not to go back the second year, but they said I had to do something. So after my second summer I told them I wanted to go to a different camp. They chose Camp Eagle Hill, and I loved it. At Scatico the staff is very strict and demanding. You're basically forced to play sports all day, with almost no relaxation time at all. At Eagle Hill, you are not forced to do anything you don't want to do, but are still encouraged to participate. The staff helped me overcome my fear of the zipline this summer, and the tennis staff really helped me improve my game. There were many trips this summer, including a three-day trip to Philadelphia and Hershey Park. Also, unlike Scatico, the staff is much more diverse, with counselors from all over the world!  RID: 26129

Click to report rating    9/8/07   5     5     5     5     5   Great camp. My kids loved loved loved it and that was odd b/c they hated all their camps before. The staff gave personal attention to my children who were homesick and went the extra mile. I would refer anyone to CEH.  RID: 15048

Click to report rating    3/11/07   4     3     3     4     4   I've went to this camp for 7 years and made a lot of friends and liked all of the counselors too. Facilities are okay, but the upper administration have very strict rules. One summer it rained and we did the same activities over and over again. Oh and if you're a counselor watch out, Jesse the director once fired 3 counselors in one summer! Other than that, I enjoyed camp and even got a 5 year jacket to prove it!  RID: 8541

Click to report rating    8/17/06   4     3     3     4     2   I was a staff member at Eagle Hill for 2 summers and loved the kids and my other co-counselors. But the administration was lacking, the director isn't very personable with his staff. The camp isn't the greatest, but it's still a nice place.  RID: 2102

Click to report rating    6/26/06   4     3     2     4     3   It was ok, I went there last summer and got extremely homesick, the only reason the staff was good was because they were friendly and understood what it was like to have people you absolutely dispised in your bunk, they hated brooke too. Facitities were average. Personal attention more than average. The activities I rately fairly low because when it was raining which was a majority of the summer there weren't good enough things to do and we missed a huge chunk of our scheduled activities. Overall I had fun but wanted to get out of there, the friends were obviously the best part but it wasn't anything special that I thought really was a life changing experience or any fun I couldn't have just had at gome with friends. Good enough.  RID: 1153
