I went to this camp last summer and had the best time ever. YOU NEED TO COME... Everyone is so nice, there are many amazing activities that you can sign up for, and if you don't have any friends that you know there it is very easy to meet new people that you will probably see every summer there. My personal favorite activity there is waterskiing but there are many other activities that you can choose from such as, horseback riding, cooking, outdoor education, art classes, instrument classes, extreme sports, sailing, rock climbing, water tubing, volleyball, kickball, swimming, canoeing and kayaking, AND MANY MANY MANY MORE. If you come I promise you will have a outstanding time and will make many new friends. |

I just want to say that camp tockwogh is my favorite place in the entire world and if i could be anywhere in the world right now it would be there. I look forward to seeing my friends and sailing every summer. I have been going for five years now and if I could I would stay the entire summer. I know, it is pricey, but the experiences and memories are priceless. I have grown up to be a very independent person and also a leader to my peers. If you are even considering sending your kid here, sign up right now. you will not regret it. the earlier your child goes the more they will love it. (SESSION 3 IS THE BEST) |

My child had a wonderful time at this camp. The counselors are warm and friendly and are always coming up with things for my son to do. For kids who are so hooked to technology these days this camp provides a great escape and a chance for kids to be active. When my son came home he was already asking to go back. |

My kids attended last summer for the first time and had a tremendous amount of fun. They really enjoyed their counselors, bunks and activities, despite uneven weather. The bay offerings were wonderful and well-supervised. The only thing I noticed is that the camp directors weren't near the cabins at pick-up, so you really couldn't talk with them. They did send follow-up communication later in the Fall. |

This is a really nice camp on the Chesapeake Bay. However, the staff can be so-so. Although they are great with kids, I learned that on weekends off, many of the counselors have parties where alcohol and drugs abound. None come back to camp hung over, but after learning this, I'm not sure I'd want my child being cared for by someone who parties on the weekends. Other than that, the facilities are great, and the activities are incredibly varied, so it would be difficult for your child to be bored. |

I have mixed feelings about the camp. My child had a WONDERFUL first experience at camp and learned many new things. The counselors were great! It was everything I thought summer camp would be for a kid. However, my child came home with severe 2nd degree sunburns (bloody raw skin)& a foot infection. My child has been to the dr twice for this now and it has cost us a few hundred dollars to get the foot and sunburn healed properly. The burn should have been addressed more swiftly when my child was at camp rather than me taking care of it at home almost a week after the incident. The foot infection occurred at the end of camp and was not noticed by the staff. I know they can't keep an eye on everyone, but when a child is limping, someone should probably find out why. The nurse managed my child's daily medicines for the week just fine though. So even though my child had a great experience, I'm not sure if my child will return next year b/c of how damaged the foot & skin were in their care. |
