My daughter went here for two summers and hopes to go back. It is a really warm, traditional summer camp with the usual activities, campfires, etc. The staff all knew my daughter by name and we could call her often and got regular updates from the camp. She loved the horseback riding the most and could ride every day and take care of the horses. It is not a "snobby" camp and encourages the girls to be accepting. Most of the cabins have their own bathrooms and showers as well as electricity. It gives the "camping" experience without the hardships of some tented camps. My daughter really relaxed there and didn't worry about what to wear , who was in what "clique" and other middle school things. Just a nice, wholesome, warm camp run by people who have been doing this a long time and care about the campers. |

I an thinking of going to this camp this year. i am really looking foward to the petting zoo, dance ,gymnastics and crafts there. I am not sure how good it is since i've never been there but im guessing it will be fun! |

This will be my second two week session. When I went I had a blast! Most of my cabin mates were super funny and nice, and all the activities I took I enjoyed (including gymnastics, cheer leading, jewelry, and stain glass making). I'm taking horseback riding this year and I'm thrilled. The facilities were ok. I had to shower with a wasp at one point, and the occasional bug gets in your cabin (Im ok with bugs though). Our counselors for our cabin were both British and soooo fun. We also went to a baseball game as a field trip. I would strongly recommend this camp to anyone (: |

I am an Alumni of Netimus and I had fantastic summers. I made friends that lasted me many years, definitely past the 5 summers I spent there. I can't say lifelong, but I am certainly filled with strong and fond memories. I am now a parent of a 9 year old girl and can't wait for the opportunity to send her. I have read the all the reviews and have to say that there are always going to be people who just don't fit the camp, or any traditional overnight camp. I really came to appreciate the chores that I performed and learned so much from the environmental stewardship and personal responsibility that was promoted by Netimus. Many counselors were international, the food and mealtimes were fun and full of songs, the lake WAS cold, but most of us found it to be funny and something to bond over. I just wanted to throw my two cents in for prospective parents that see some of these negative postings and are deterred. Cant hurt to try it, I bet your daughter will love it. I sure did. :) |

I absoultly LOVE this camp!!!! I recomend it for any girl looking for adventure and the best summer of there life!!! my family has been at this camp for about 9 years and we just cant get enoguh!! for a first year camper a three week session is the way to go. at netimus you can do just about any activity. i find it a great exspirence living in a more rustic but not disconnected place for weeks. the out of camp trips are great. you can go biking, water skiing banana boating and tournements against other local camps.the food is good and the staff are excelent people and great at what they do. all of the summercamps traditions are respected at netimus.this place is my home away from home!!!!i love Camp Netimus!!! |

I just lovvvve this camp, I went for four weeks and it was my first time! The counslers are super nice and fun to be around! The sports and other activities are really fun. I went bananna boating and water skiing. The other campers are super nice, some of my besties there are international campers! I was in cabin A-4 if anyone who went in 2010 was wonderin :P |

i just rated the camp anything because i havent actually been there yet. im thinking of going this summer i was wondering about the horseback riding. im looking for a camp which i can focus on horseback riding every day yet still able to do things like archery and swimming etc. i wanted to know what the stable/horse conditions r like and if they place u in groups based on experience. i can walk, trot canter and i wuold like to learn how to jump (i am 13 years old) |

Yeah I just rated this camp as all 3's because i haven't gone there yet! lol. ok,so my mom&i are searching for a good summer camp for me. and so far, camp netimus looks perfect to the both of us. but i'd really like to hear some feeback from someone who's actually gone to this camp before. i want to know what the kids are like. i'm thirteen years old, but by the time summer rolls around, i will turn 14. I want to know what the girls are like, because I have gone to a camp before where it otherwise would've been really fun, except for the girls there. i had NOTHING in commmon with them. I LOVE shopping&clothess and all that. I'm preppy. but i'm not rude or self-centered. i may sometimes come off as being b****y but if u get to know me, i'm really fun and out going and i love to have a good time. soo if u could give me any info on girls at this camp, that could b excellent!! |

I LOVE this camp! This was my 6th summer at Netimus and definately not my last. I look forward to next summer already. Everyone is very spirited and including. You will not have any trouble making friends. Great memories and so many activities to choose from! As quoted "many people have a summer house, but i have a summer home." Camp Netimus is the best place to spend you summer. Float Night and Green and White and Waterskiing <3. GO GREEN! |

My daughter went here for 3 weeks this summer. Upon arrival she was greeted with a hug and made to feel welcome and comfortable. We chose it because it was all girl, small, not sports oriented and she was able to choose her activities. I got 1 letter in 3 wks which told me she was having a great time. She loved the activites, riflery, horse back riding, loved water skiing. There seemed to be minimal girl drama as well. She did say the food was gross, but she is known to be quite picky and kept mentioning things she did like. When I went to pick her up she was very relaxed and happy and not rushing to get out of camp. It is a camp, not a ritz carlton. The horses looked very healthy, well cared for, the barn was clean. She liked it enough to want to go back next year, but is contemplating trying a different camp just because she likes to try new things. For the moms out there - no worries, they are safe and well cared for and it is a small family environment. |

I love Netimus. This will be my 5th summer, and despite some major staff changes, camp will be just as good, if not better. Of course, the best part of camp is waterskiing! Dave, the ski coordinator, is the best. He really teaches you and pushes you to do your best. This past summer, my friends and I went skiing 9 times, and its amazing how much we all improved. I couldn't imagine going anywhere but Netimus. One cliched Netimus quote is "At camp, I get homesick, but at home, I'm always camp sick" and it's definatly true. Camp is the best, its one more reason to look forward to summer. |

i hated this camp! i would NEVER GO BACK!!! i HATED every second i spent there! it was the WORST 2 weeks of my life. i dont know how some people are willing to WASTE their whole summer away at this TERRIBLE camp! |

i went to this camp one year for four weeks thinking that i would love it, i hated it. I had a cabinmate that cried everyday. the activities were so boring and you have to swim in a lake. the lake is freezing and they make you swim even if you dont feel comfertable. the cabins are gross one night a cacroch came into the cabin and i couldnt go back to bed for the rest of the night. the feild trip for people 12 and under went to the crayola factory. :( you have to clean up for everybody at the end of the meal. i would never suggest this camp to anybody |

This will be my 7th year at Netimus. I love it there. It is my home away from home. The food is good and so are the activities. I have made so many friends there. I can't wait to go back!Go Green team! |

My daughter has attended Netimus for two summers now. She can't wait to go back next summer. Netimus is a good all around camp, offering many types of activities. I feel very comfortable sending my daughter to Netimus, knowing that she is safe, learning valuable life skills (responsibility among them), making new friends, and enjoying a variety of activities that I can't offer her at home. GO NETIMUS!!! |

I love camp!!!! I thought it was the best camp ever and I have been to many. The staff is so nice and there are tons of things to choose from! You make freinds with your whole cabin and everyone you are doing activities with. the food is unbeliveable and there is so much to choose from! |

I went to this came a few years ago, but I didn't have anything to compare it to other than the fact that at the time I hated it! I found another camp that made me thing I was over reacting a little but, Netimus wasn't that good and I would advise you to go somewhere else unless you can solve your problems by taking to a tree. |

i went to this camp once a couple of years ago and i thought the facilities were terible, you had to do chores, and not that i think chores are bad.. but you spent the whole time cleaning the bathrooms with ants in it, rather then having fun. I met some nice friends, and the trips were cool .. but every week at your lunch table one of you has to clean up after everyone else .. and i didnt have many friends so it wasn't really good for my self-esteem. that camp made me feel really left out. and now i go to a different camp with my friends and its so much more fun |

this will be my fourth year going to netimus, and my second year going for 8 weeks. I love this camp more thena nything in the entire world, The girls I meet there are amazing and I talk to them every night. I look forward to the reunions and camp netimus is the highlight of my summer. I can never imagine just not going back. The friends i've made and the memories i have keep me going everyday. I look back on my first year and see the differences mostly good. I love the camp and even the things that aren't so great always end up being perfect in the end. I love this camp and it's a second home to me. The directors were my parents and my friends are my sisters. Camp isn't just an activity, it's a major part of my life that makes me thank my parents more then anything for sending me there. |
