3/29/12   1     1     2     1     1   Interviewed with this camp and after agreeing to contract terms and offered the position, the director changed the agreed salary, dates, and travel arrangements. Wish I'd known earlier, but consider myself lucky to have found out sooner rather then later. I wouldn't recommend working for or with this camp.  RID: 40658

Click to report rating    7/19/10   5     5     5     5     5   Our daughter has had a wonderful time at their daycamp. She loves the staff and the other kids, and she is so excited by the activities, especially gymnastics, slide and dive and kyacking. She is getting exposure to sleepaway camp even though she is a daycamper. Every Thurs nite the daycampers can stay for dinner,a campfire and sleepover with their group. We are just so happy that we found this camp. I was expecting it to be good, but it has turned out to be great. We have done many camps, and Half Moon is by far the best and I highly recommend it to anyone that wants their children to have total camp experience in a beautiful environment with really nice people. Whenever I have had contact with the administration, they were very nice and very helpful. So, I have no complaints at all. My child is in heaven and is already talking about wanting to go to their sleepaway camp next year.I think she is made to feel special at camp, and thats important.  RID: 33387

Click to report rating    2/23/09   5     4     3     4     2   My kid has tremendously enjoyed spending summers with the other campers at CHM for the past two years. The staff are unquestionably personal, warm and friendly. The facilities are traditional and fun. The owners are rule-obsessed business-comes-first types. A great summer camp for kids run by MBA wanna-bes.  RID: 29094

Click to report rating    2/20/09   5     5     5     5     3   My four children have attended camp halfmoon and have had unique experiences and made friendships that are maintained throughout the year. They look forward to participating in all the water sports as well as reconnecting with their friends every summer. The staff is superb and never once have I been concerned about my children while they are at camp; I just look forward to getting their happy notes and look forward to hearing all about their adventures. If you are looking for a safe, fun, exciting place for your children where they are encouraged to be themselves, camp halfmoon is the place for them.  RID: 29073

Click to report rating    2/18/09   5     5     5     5     5   As a Mom with a child whom needed more one on one than most. We found Camp Halfmoon able to give this and with their great staff. They have given my son the qulity of life he so needed to find in himself.I have tryed many places for my son to grow and they are the best there is. The rules their are for everyone saftey and it would be crazy to think a camper could undestand and be able to write an honset review. Keep up the good work Camp Halfmoon.Looking fowarded to another great summer in 2009 for Robert.  RID: 29034

Click to report rating    2/15/09   4     5     5     4     3   CHM is okay. Over the bast few years it's gotten a lot worse, very quickly. Maybe it's because i'm getting older, i dunno. CHM has a huge spectrum of activities for everyone, most of which they do a pretty good job with. However the one thing i can't stand about this camp are the rules. Half Moon is so strict, which in turn elicits a certain degree of rebellion from the campers, especially the teen campers.I've compared the rules of half moon to the rules of my friends' camps and by far we at half moon have the least freedom. So if you as a parent are interested in sending your child to a strict camp with plentiful random, useless rules, CHM is definitely the place to go. If any kind of head staff is out there reading this, the camp would be SOOOO much better if you would just lighten up on all the darn rules! They're the only reason i dont wanna go back.  RID: 28994

Click to report rating    2/11/09   5     5     5     5     5   My kids have been attending Camp Half Moon for 4 years and 2 years respectively. They both have been so happy with the camp and have gotten a great deal of personal attention and encouragement on all fronts. Set in a bucolic Berkshire setting - Camp Half Moon is a great place for kids of all ages.  RID: 28942

Click to report rating    2/11/09   4     5     5     5     5   This camp experience changed my children's life forever. As city kids they were gently introduced to country life at their own pace. They learned water skills, sailing kayaking and many other skills city kids don't have the chance to experience. They made friends they have had for years and were introduced to people from all over the world with whom they have stayed in touch. The value was unbeatable and the nurturance was unequaled at any other camp they attended. I would recommend this camp without reservation. You won't be sorry.  RID: 28939

Click to report rating    2/11/09   5     5     5     5     5   I think the people who wrote bad stuff are stupid. The counseelors are rly nice, and are from all over the world, so it's rly kewl to find out about where their from. the food is good, and the lake is really cool. we get to go kayaking and sailing, and there's a slide that goes right into the lake! the people there are really cool, and there's a dog named spencer who walks around the camp and is really good. i really liked my counselors in my cabin. they're really fun, and i still send them emails. My favorite part about camp is the Cheroke Mahaywe color wars. its rly fun, and goes on the whole summer, so you don't miss anything. I rly love half moon, and i cna't wait for this summer!  RID: 28937

Click to report rating    8/24/06   4     3     3     5     4   You never meet any friends like the ones you do at camp. Camp Half Moon is full of so many happy memories looking back, my life would not be the same without it. An important experience I believe many should share.  RID: 2361
