I LOVE RAMAH POCONOS SOOOO MUCH!! THIS IS GOING TO BE MY 6TH SUMMER THERE AS A CAMPER AND I CANT WAIT! I LOVE EVERY SECOND OF IT! RAMAH ISNT MY SECOND HOME, IT IS MY FIRST HOME! I ACTUALLY DREAM ABOUT MY UPCOMING SUMMERS AT LEAST ONCE A WEEK. THE STAFF HERE IS GREAT AND YOU ALL BECOME ONE BIG FAMILY. YOU DO HAVE TO PRAY ONCE A DAY ON A NORMAL WEEKDAY AND IT KIND OF SUCKS BUT YOU WILL MAKE THE BEST FRIENDS THERE THAT YOU WILL JUST LEARN TO SUCK IT UP. BOTH MY SISTERS WERE FORMER CAMPERS AND THEIR CAMP FRIENDS ARE TO THIS DAY THEIR CLOSEST FRIENDS. AFTER CAMP IS OVER I WILL CRY FOR ABOUT 2 WEEKS STRAIGHT ABOUT HOW MUCH I MISS IT. I ONLY HAVE 2 SUMMERS LEFT AS A CAMPER SO I NEED TO TAKE EVERY MOMENT IN THIS SUMMER AND NEXT SUMMER. IT IS SERIOUSLY THE BEST PLACE EVER AND IF YOU DONT SEND YOU KIDS THERE OR GO THERE ALREADY THEN YOU NEED TO BECAUSE THEY WILL NOT JUST MAKE FRIENDS, BUT THEY WILL MAKE A FAMILY THAT WILL BE THERE FOR THEM EVERY MOMENT OF THEIR LIFE. |

Camp Ramah is the best place in the world and the campers who really get into it end up loving it and making friends that they'll have forever! People say that it's ridiculous to have to pray so much, but once you're there, it's not so bad, and lots of people really find meaning in the services. Everyone is so inclusive and nice. I love everything about Camp Ramah! |

i love camp ramah it really is a peaceful setting. Sadly i was unable to go this summer. at first i was ok with that cause now i would have to go for 8 weeks but now i really miss the atmoshpere. i agree the counselors werent the best but now they started a new training thing for counselors and friends say they love their counselors this year so thats good. there are a lot of trips (some really have you roughing it). overall it is a good camp with good activities. |

I've had conslors tell me to get over it after a family member died. Also if a family gives money to the camp the kids can get away with anything including abusing others physically and emotionally. Even wrecking others things won't get them in trouble |

If one is an orthodox Jew they nshould not send their children to this camp. It is far to conservative, that being said the camp itself isn't awful. Contrary to what was said before (they make you pray for half the day) they only make you pray three, which is the amount a Jewish male is required to do. As I said before it isn't for orthodox" people, but for a conservative camp its not bad. |
