It's loads of fun if you have friends who go there, and if you're in elementary school. Otherwise, it's boring, but it beats staying home and moping around all day. The facilities are ok, usually very hot, but they don't make you go outside on a boiling day. The best part are probably the trips. The trips are cheap and fun. The counselors are young, so it's more fun. After a while, the activities get old and boring, so plan on going on many trips. Some activities include: arts and crafts (drawing on paper with markers), indoor games (boardgames, foosball, etc.), open gym (inside gym and you play kickball, or baseball), outdoors (sports like soccer or lacrosse), outside jungle gym (literally you play on a jungle gym for 2 hours). Overall, go to Halfmoon Rec if you are a sports fanatic and half a good list of friends going with you. The bus stops aren't that good. Usually they are two or more blocks away. The camp directors are always in bad moods, and usually stay in the A/C part. |
