It feels like I have an endless supply of precious AQ memories,but one of the greatest was snorkeling with the humpbacks in Australia.It was spontaneous,a little scary,&magical!It made such an impact on me that I wrote about it for my college application essay the following year.Not only did I get in to all the schools I applied to, but one admissions counselor sent me with a handwritten note raving about what an incredible story it was!Beyond anything sentimental,that day has helped to pave the road for me ever since!I'm now an engineer in NY &recently celebrated my 2nd wedding anniversary(my old shipmates were invited).In our vows,I made my husband swear to get his SCUBA certification.He has finally made good on it!After years of raving about all my AQ adventures,I can't wait to take him on an alumni trip & finally let him get a taste of the experiences that profoundly shaped my life.I am forever grateful to AQ for being my second family, what I would give to be back there right now! |

ActionQuest is literally the best summer camp ever. Personally i have been to many summer camps and ActionQuest is BY FAR the best! I learned how to scuba dive and sail and become an independent individual.I learned more about myself that i probably would never figured out unless i had my experience with ActionQuest. I also met the coolest people that came from all around the world and their backgrounds interest me so much. The staff is so involved and the make sure that you are always having the time of your life. Everything about this camp was flawless and relaxed. I can promise you that you or your child will have the best summer of their lives and it will change their look on the world in a positive way. ActionQuest is defiantly an amazing program. |

I went to ActionQuest in 2008 and 2007 in the BVI. I still send people to ActionQuest all the time. I am going into my senior year of my BS degree in Marine Biology from the University of West Florida. I have been spending the past 3 summers in Indonesia doing research and working for a conservation agency running their high school programs. ActionQuest really made a difference in the start of my career and I wanted to thank you again for the experience. I will never forget the time I spent in the BVIs. It was truly life changing. Thank you for everything! |

Staff: WOW! You have the most incredible teachers sharing their superb sailing and diving skills. They come from all over the world--you will never find so many interesting and talented people in one place after coming to ActionQuest. Facilities: Yeah--you're living on a yacht! The experience of living on a boat is very unique and very fun--your home becomes your playgroud and classroom. The only reason I give this a 4 rather than a 5 is because it can get slightly cramped and if you are used to having a lot of space to yourself, it can be a bit of a shocker! Activies: ACTION PACKED! We sail, scuba dive, waterskii, and hike in the BVI--the ideal location for all these fun activies. Personal attention: Your shipmates and your staff become like family-you get to know a lot about them and they get to know a lot about you! If you have a problem, you will feel right at home going to any staff member with your problem. Monetary Value: You can't put a price on an experience like this one. AQ! |

I love ActionQuest!! To anyone thinking about it- DO IT!! I cannot tell you enough how great it is. I have gone for the past three summers, and plan to return next summer. I still talk to friends I made there from around the world, every day. The staff members are amazing and so kind. Those three weeks at ActionQuest are the best part of my year. The weather in the BVI's is beautiful and the water and always warm and clear. |

I LOVED ActionQuest! I was a freshman in high school in '93/'94 so it must have been the summer of '94 that I went on a once in a lifetime three week journey around the BVIs. I can't imagine having a better time and I can't imagine a better way to go to camp. Back then, I was going through a rebelious stage and my mother had my whole summer packed with camps and trips and vacations, but nothing compared to ActionQuest. I still think back on fun times like when all of our ships were anchored and tied together while the sun set and we danced the night away at some private island. We dove the sunken Rhone ship and learned how to sail a 51' sailboat, scuba dive, and windsurf, we did so much! My kids are begging me already to let them go. They're 10 and 4 so we have a bit of time to save up the money, but they will definitley go! Thanks for the wonderful memories, ActionQuest! Anyone who can afford this program should ABSOLUTELY enroll now! |

I have distinctive memories of the BVIs and ActionQuest; my summers with the program are still what I consider instrumental periods of growth. At nearly 30, I recognize that AQ, and their instructors, provided guidance and a sense of independence that I had not previously experienced at that age. We were allowed to be children in a glorious setting while having the responsibilities of adults, held accountable for our actions as divers, peers, and even chefs; that is vital for any young person, and I am better for having had the opportunity to be part of the program. |

I highly recommend ActionQuest programs. I left the three week program in the BVIs with an immensely boosted self-confidence and great pride in my accomplishments. At the beginning of the program I was worried that I would not be able to handle living on board a vessel with several other students for three weeks, and felt very homesick. But after two full days, the activities and fun really took off and I was enthralled with life onboard. ActionQuest staff do a fabulous job of challenging all of the students, but also of creating a safe environment to step outside comfort zones. I found the LifeWorks sessions to be very thought-provoking and enriching as well. |

Amazing experience! I went twice and learned twice as much the second time around. I was a Boy Scout before I left, and the leadership opportunities ActionQuest provided me helped me learn how to be a true leader; I obtained Eagle Scout six months later. The sailing and diving are amazing in and of themselves, but the real experience is how Jim manages to tie in life skills into every aspect. I last went over ten years ago and I still apply the determination and leadership skills learned on those 30 feet of sailboat. This is not just a blast of a way to spend three weeks (which is an amazing time to be sure) but a way to learn about who you are at the same time. |
