6/4/11   5     5     5     5     5   My daughter attended this camp for the first time last summer, and is definitely returning this year and for years to come. She will tell you without hesitation that the month spent here was the best month of her life. She loved working with the different choreographers and song coaches, and Robert Laconi is a master at finding each child's talent/gift and highlighting those qualities. No one is made to feel anything but special. After many mediocre experiences with other camps, I have to say that the TAC experience was nothing but a pleasure. My daughters confidence rose immeasurably, and she made many wonderful friends who she has stayed in touch with throughout the year....they have a countdown calendar that brings her greater joy each day as the start of camp approaches! And frankly, I'm as excited to see her joy and glee as she is to start her summer!  RID: 36033

5/13/11   5     5     5     5     5   This will be my daughter's 3rd summer. It has been well worth it for her to attend. Not only has Robert Laconi and his superior staff helped develop her talents as a performer, they've also helped her grow as a person -- instilling in her the discipline to persevere. This will inable her achieve whatever goals she pursues. The talented and experienced Broadway professionals that Robert brings in every summer, have given my daughter an incredible amount of training in acting, singing, dancing, and performing that would have most assuredly cost far more if this program were not available. Since the classes also take place on a professional University stage, the experience is especially beneficial. Over and above the theatrical training, they have also helped her develop socially. Each and every summer she has bonded with many other like-minded children, and has continued to maintain strong friendships with her peers. Kudos and a rousing standing ovation to the Theatre Arts Center.  RID: 35888

5/13/11   5     5     5     5     5   My daughter absolutely loved her first summer at TAC. She has gained close friends who make her smile and they keep in touch all year long. This is money well spent for her to do what she loves with wonderful kids and staff. Robert, the director is an amazing, sweet man who cares about all his students. My daughter can't wait to return to TAC.  RID: 35886

5/11/11   5     5     5     5     5   My daughter spent 3 summers at this camp, even though it was a long trip to get there every day. The staff are wonderful, the guest teachers fantastic ("mom, my tap teacher is a Rockette!" and she has made some lifelong friends.  RID: 35871

5/11/11   4     5     5     5     5   My daughter has gone to TAC for the past five summers, and loved it! She made the best friends, had wonderful counsellors, and got to work with great choreographers and performers from current Broadway productions. She performed in in eight or nine numbers in each of two performances at the end of each summer session, and she gained confidence and poise that she never thought she had. The camp is lots of fun, and the kids grow amazingly close over the four weeks -- it was definitely worth the daily trip to Queens from Brooklyn every day! If you think I am exaggerating about what a wonderful experience TAC is, take a look at beaming faces and awesome synchronization in the Chorus Line portion of the clip on TAC's website! My daughter can't wait to go back as a counsellor now that she has aged out of the program!  RID: 35869
