Camp Read is very typical of a BSA camp. The Scout gets out of it what they put into it. Good experiences and chance to get caught up on those merit badges.

While every other BS Camp is down grading CSR is spending millions to bring joy to young boys faces.

There are two parts of the camp: Buckskin and Waubeeka. I went to Waubeeka and had a blast! The level of attention to the camper is amazing, and there really is a bond between the camper and staff. Some of the facilities are a little run down, but most are new. I like how "out-doorsy" the camp is. We sleep in these army platform tents that hold up well when it rains. It is really cheap too, but only for members of the BSA. If I were not a scout already, I would probably join just to return to Camp Read each summer. Next year will be my sixth!
