Camp is one of the best things that has ever in my life and I'm glad my parents made the decision to send me here because I can say it was life changing. Driving through the gate on the first day of camp this summer, made me think how excited and lucky I was to be back for the fourth summer. Looking around memories began to trickle back into my mind one after the other. Consolers make or break each summer and having a amazing, one of a kind director like Ronni who picks the best ones, was what made camp even more special. Walking around camp I'm never mad or sad because counselors attention is one you pay big bucks for. Being there makes me incredibly happy, I don't have enough words to explain. When the dreaded day comes to pack up and leave, there is always tears in your eyes. You smell in the pine needles and cabin bathrooms one last time before you hug your friends good bye. Throughout the year I count down the days till I'm reunited with my best friends and my home again.

I have been going to Camp Jori for 4 years. Those 4 summers have been the best summers of my life. I made friends there, that I will have for life, counselors I will remember forever, an outstanding director, Ronni, who gave superior attention and care to each and every camper. When I think about Camp Jori, I think of home. I think everyone should have a chance to attend a sleep away camp for the summer because it gives the opportunity to gain independence, responsibility, the meaning of true friendship and much more. Going to Camp Jori was one of the best decisions I have ever made in my entire life. I plan to continue on to be a counselor there and attend camp for as many years as possible. I would like to really thank Camp Jori for being my home and letting me have a place that makes it so hard to say goo bye to each summer. I count down the days from the day I leave, until the day camp starts the next year, and I couldn't imagine my life without camp being a huge part of it.

Unfortunately I was advised after numerous on phone and in person interviews that this camp was capable of handling children on the autism spectrum. In fact the counselor that my son and as far as I could tell no other staff member could handle working with my son who is on the high end of the spectrum, Is integrated in a regular classroom and school and takes dance, karate, music lessons, gymnastics and other activities with average children with no problem and has many years of successful day camp experience. They actually booted my son out after a week and a half.. Beware

This is my last year. It's been 9 or 10 years. Infact my mom lied my age the first year to get me in, and I've never stopped coming. 2 months every summer. Cried at the end of each year. And now especially since I will never be a camper again, I would like to say this was the best 9 or 10 years of my life. Not only summers but I was so connected that everyone stayed in touch during the year. Beautiful place, people, and definetely worth the price

Camp Jori was great! I have been there only 1 year in 2012 and already signed up for 2013. The counselors are amazing and I loved all the. They give you all the attention you need! I love all the activities and you never, ever get bored. The waterfront is amazing but the only thing I think would improve the camp a lot is more activities to do on the lake. (Like the trampolines on the lake). Overall Camp Jori was the best and I count down the days till' camp every year. I love Camp Jori!

My son went to this camp, which would be a lot nicer if there was another director. My son had a terrible counselor the third year he was there, and the director ignored my comments. I was not allowed to speak to my son (the only communication with children is via mail, except on parents day) who was having some serious problems. The camp nurse had the wisdom and kindness to allow my son to call me and that helped him, but no such help would have been allowed by Roni. His bunkmate had a serious cut on his leg, that was ignored by the camp. His parents, who had sent both of their children to Camp Jori for several years, ended up removing both their children early from Camp Jori that year and never allowed them to return. The State of Rhode Island should investigate this camp, as the director keeps parents out of the loop so much.

Just not really that good of a camp and quite expensive. MY kids said they hated it, and the kids there were snobs.

I sent my two daughters to JORI in 2008. My older daughter had a great time and met nice girls. My younger child was neglected when she did not feel well, and sent us urgent mail to come home. I was horrified when we visited beforehand by the director's speech (she mostly discussed what behaviors would get kids sent home, nothing positive about the camp experience). This of course made me wonder what type of problems they had at the camp the year before. The counselors we met seemed "OK". I felt guilty and worried sending my kids there. (We were sending the girls with an old friend, who had different ideas about camp quality). The facilities are good but the grounds looked burnt out. (We chose a different camp the following year and both girls are happy there. Why? Beautiful mountain location, better activities, more responsible counselors).

Camp Jori is great! this is my second year of going and id like to continue going until im a councelor. this camp has a lot of fun activities! the councelors are so nice and wen ur feeling left out or sad they would they would do anything for you to have fun....when u wake up in the morning u know breackfast is heere from the smell! i love camp jori its the best camp of my lifee and i think you will like it to <3 u all from jori

Camp Jori is the best camp eva!!!! I have been going for 6 years now and screw all the ppl who dont like this camp! I plan to go until I can be a counsler there! The food is ok but the counslers are amazing and u make a lot of friendsz! <3

I was a camper here for six years, and now am on the staff. it is amazing how much this camp has improved, and it really is so much fun to be here! the environment is amazing, and there's always new people to meet. amazing characteristics, like "candy call" and "olympics". there is always something at camp JORI for everyone--boating, gaga, dance, fitness, basketball, baseball, kickball, volleyball, newcomb, ultimate frisbee, tennis, swimming, and so much more!

This camp was not worth the price, and i really did not enjoy it. there were absoltly no activites to much down time and i had no fun. the bunks and everything was c;ean and beautiful, but still not worth it.

This camp is amazing! I've been going for five years now, and it has never dissapointed me yet! I love it! It is very fun, and I will always remember it...I'm planning on being a counselor there in just a few years!
