Cedar Lake is the best thing that has ever happened to me. If you are thinking of attending CLC I 10/10 say go for it! Yes, it is a jewish camp, but I am not the religious type what so ever. CLC has shabbat services which are the most special part of camp in my opinion and we dance and sing to our favorite songs. 600 is a large number but it doesn't feel that way at all. It really does feel like one big family. There really isn't enough words to describe how amazing and special this camp is to me. There is no other camp like CLC! Don't go anywhere else! CLC is and forever will be my home away from home!

This camp is my life. I live 10 for 2 and I would never trade it for the world. I make the bestfriends there. Although they dont have brand new bunks like Chenawanda or air conditioning like Tyler hill, its the best place on earth. My camp is my home and I love it soooo much. Although its jappy, thats what makes it fun!!!Even though our camp isnt as nice as others I love it more than anyone could imagine. I cant wait to go back this summer. Only 211 days left until I am home!!!!

THIS CAMP IS AMAZING!!! I can not imagine spending my summers anywhere but Cedar Lake. Everyone is sooooo nice and the activities are amazing. I haven't met one person that hated Cedar Lake. I would totally recommend going to Cedar Lake!

Very disappointed in management and how they handled a very sick child. My kid got salmonella from camp and was picked up early, suffered at home for the rest of the summer no one called to check on her and when asked for a refund, was told by a camp director that the camp is not responsible and denied that the kid got sick at camp. Hmmm where did she get salmonella if she stayed at cedar for 4 weeks???They didn't even notified the parents of her bunk mates that she contracted salmonella. Not going back and would never recommend.

I am in love with this camp! i started my first year this past summer in miriam division in cedar lake. I switched from another camp to this one thinking no one will like me. I ended up making the best of friends that I feel like I have know forever!! Everyone is so nice and welcoming and the activiites are excellent!! You could do any activity you want to try with no worry. The only thing is the food isn't good and the staff is mostly good but sometimes can be a little rude, but fine. This camp is like a dream of what camp should be and I'm so excited for my continuous summers!! HOME AWAY FROM HOME IN CEDAR LAKE! also this is the biggest camp in North America.

So last year was my first summer and (being in 9th grade) my last at CLC. At first I was unsure of what to expect since I had never gone to sleepaway camp before. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. When I got off the bus other campers came over and started talking to me (and it just so happened they were also in my bunk) and they were so friendly. I'm a really shy person and am really quiet around people I don't know but everyone was so nice and I made friends super quickly. All of the counselors were great also. People skipped activities a lot but they have a lot of variety and the activities were fun if you signed up with a friend. Also I became friends with people outside of my bunk so it wasn't very cliquey. The one downfall is the bathroom (disgusting) and the food is horrible (don't ever eat the hamburgers or picnic lunch if you ever go. Don't ask. Just take this work of caution). Anyway I miss it so much and I can't wait to TAC this summer!

This is the best thing I have done. The staff is amazing and the friends that you make here will last forever. everyone starts counting down to next summer the day camp ends. :)

Awesome camp! Great, down to earth campers. My older daughter is finished, my younger daughter is counting down the days til she goes back. Facilities are very nice, activities are great, staff is fabulous!! Not a jappy camp which was important to us. Both my daughters have made friends for a lifetime. Would absolutely recommend.

Though the food sucks...and theres services..i've had the most amazing experiances of my entire life at camp. You make your best friends in the world...I cried for weeks after i left....All i wanted to do was go back to my home away from home...during the school year i find my self singing the camp songs...I miss everything about camp. Send your kids there ASAP. Camp is where my heart is <3

Facilities are cheaply made, many bunks are old. Barely ever get to go jetskiing or anything special. Food is gross. Very religious for a reform camp. There is too much discipline for a summer camp. Very few trips compared to other private camps. Okay price i guess.....

I started sleepaway camp in Naomi division at Nah Jee Wah, and I kept coming back, 5 summers in a row! I LOVED this camp. I made best friends for life, participated in great activities, and cried for the entire last week of camp just because I dreaded going home. This camp is AMAZING. They make religious services and prayer fun, especially for a nonreligious girl like me. Home away from home, it's Cedar Lake!! <3 Everyday I wish I could go back in time and go to camp all over again. I want to swim in the lake, learn how to jetski again, go bananaboating, live in a bunk with my 20 best friends, and participate in the greatest, most epic color war you can imagine!

Best camp EVERRRRRR this cam isamazingly fun, even though it is jewish, and u have 2 go 2 servicees, it just means you all have something in common!!! I LOVE IT!!!

As a Mom I can't sat enough good things about NJY camps. My kids have been in all three and love everyone. They cry when they leave each summer and count the days until they return. They have formed wonderful friendships over the years. They are safe and cared for and I never have to worry. They will continue going for another 4 years and my son wants to work as a counselor there when he is old enough. Thanks for another great summer NJY!!

CLC BEASTS! best camp I've EVER been to. You don't get new friends- you get a new family. There's always SOMETHING to do, so many activities to chose from, and if you don't like something, just cut and chill with your friends by the lake or pool. Totally 100% recommend it, whether you're a prep, a loner, whatever, everyone has a place in CLC

ilove this camp its a jewish camp and its kosher but that dosent mean u cant have fun i had so much to de here u cant get bored here and u will never have a bad day its amazing cant wait to go back i lovethis camp its amazing ! its expensive like $3700 for 4 weeks and $6600 for 8 weeks but its worth every pennie

spent the best 4 years of my life there!!! my best friends are the ppl i met there. theres something for everyone to do there, no matter what they like to do. the only people that dont absolutely LOVE it are the ones who pick fights and dont really want to have a good time there.

ive been a camper in clc all three years. This camp is like huge family. Everyone knows everyone. I just finished my last year "golan" and i had the best time of my life. The staff cares for everyone and if someone has a problem it is always taken care of. I highly recomend this camp

I WENT TO NAH-JEE-WAH, AND IM IN MY SECOND YEAR OF CEDAR LAKE, I AM SOO EXCITED THIS YEAR, THE LYRICS THOSE GUYS WROTE FOR OUR CAMP WAS AWESOME "HOME AWAY FROM HOME IT'S CEDAR LAKE" I HAD MY BEST SUMMERS THERE, AND I WOULD NEVER CHANGE IT, I LOVE ALLOF MY COUNSLERS AND DIVSION HEADS, I LOVE YOU GUYS! BEST camp ever!! I loved it!!! Cedar Lake is so much fun. I went for 4 weeks first summer, liked it a lot, then went back for 8 weeks. 8 weeks was SOOO friggen fun, a lot betta then 4.

Great camp. I went here for two years after attending Naj-Jee-Wah and loved them both. It was nice when i had siblings at the younger or older camp because they planned some activities to allow us to get together, which made the parents happy. Now that I am older I would not give a second thought to sending my kids there. Great camp in a great area.

I think Cedar lake is an amazing camp. However Depending on what division and bunk you are in. Some of the staff is awesome and other members are terrible. The infirmary is ok. The food is also camp food. It is not amazing but it is not unbearable. EVerybody finds something to eat at camp and nobody starves. I got to camp for the amazing people and go create relationships that cannot be created at home.

ive gone to njy camps for 4 summers and i love it! the staff are amazing, usually previous campers or international staff. everyone gets so close with the campers and staff that you never want to leave! the activities that are available are added on every year, including many that you might not expect. if youre looking for a camp with a good jewish expierience without being to orthodox, this camp is definitely the right choice.
