Okay, well I would say I have quite a bit of experience with Hiawatha youth camp seeing as I spent quite a few summers on the shores of the frigid lake with my family and subsequently the other campers. My family has a cabin in the community and I am related to the owners of the camp. Hiawatha is a great camp to go to to deepen your relationship with god. It is nothing fancy but the facilities are decent. Also, the counselors really try to get to know you on a one on one basis. The services are great and fun. Every year they have you memorize the books of the bible using a song! The sweet shop (not sweat shop) has a variety of nasty treats and the meals are also very well done. All in all, it isn't the most snazzy camp I've been to, like Spring Hill, but at Hiawatha you get a deeper more meaningful spiritual experience.

An absolutely fantastic atmosphere and a wonderful staff focused on bringing you closer to God. Always was a fantastic and encouraging week at Hiawatha!

Last summer was my first summer at Hiawatha. I went as a teen camper. Probably one of the best experiences of my life. At first when I heard it was in the middle of a forest on a lake nowhere near civilization I was a bit skeptical. But it turns out it is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been. A great place for me to "get away". I learned so much about God through the staff and speakers. So much love flows through this place. I can't wait for this coming summer!!!!

Truly an amazing camp! The staff is great and it is such a fun place to be, you never want to leave! Long term friendships are formed instantly! The camp is in the beautiful Upper Peninsula and is a great place to get away and really just focus of God! This camp has definitely changed my life!

Truly, words cant express what has happened to me at this camp. It changed my life. The staff and speakers are unlike anything I have been with or heard. So many fun things to do all the time. The facilities are all well kept. The camper cabins are roomy and comfortable. The food is delicious! Especially the doughnuts! The Sweetshop and SANDY COVE (got to be their to know what that is!) are the best fun ever. This places is placed on a beautiful late and in the woods away from everyday life! A must to check out!

HYC is a great place. I was there as a camper and my own kids have went there too. It is place that parents can send their teens and know that it will make a positive impact in the lives of their child. Billy Walker is a godly and amazing man that has given his life to this ministy! God is STILL using HYC and him in a mighty way to impact eternity. You don't want to miss atttendly a week here -- It will change your eternity!

Hiawatha Youth Camp is the best place ever. Everyone in the WORLD should go there. This is the place where I found Christ and so did many others. I have only went once but I am definitely going again this year. I would like to see the people I met last year (like Guthrie :D) and my old councelors. I get to go in two months and I can't WAIT!!!

Why won't it let me put 6's or 10's by STAFF?? I LOVE the staff at Hiawatha! They are so fun and lots of them come back every year, and write to us while they are at school. They help with problems, and don't treat us like children, but like we're adults with questions about our faith - and wanting to have fun too. I can't wait to go back!

k well to whoever said that the counselors hunt, most of them aren't even old enough to pack heat. so yeah. Hiawatha is THE BEST CAMP EVER and whoever says different- go see a shrink. <br> (different person)OK YEAH me too!!

Two Words: Absolutely Amazing!! My favorite place in Michigan is by far this camp. Everyone that has been there will always have a million dollars worth of memories. I think that this place is a perfect setting for any kid ranging from 7 to 18 years old. I was a camper 9 years ago and I can still remember every detail of that week. This is truly a place to have fun and grow closer to our Lord with life changing decisions!

All I can say is BEST CAMP EVER!!! Its one of the best places in the world to be. Great people and great fun all in placed in one week. Its a place to get closer to God, but also learn so many differnt things. About other people and even yourself. All the games you play are super fun and the view is gorgous.

Wow, I honostly don't know were to start on talking about Hiawatha with out it sounding like I am bragging. Well, I guess, It's just everything is so great. I have been to many camps it is probably the only one with good food that I eat. Facilities are well kept, the staff is fun and well..lets just say. uhm.."Outgoing". Chapel is just as fun and easy to be attentive to as the activites. Morning games, Mystery Bucket Game, all kinds of fun things. It is the highlight of my summer every single year. It truly is an amazing life changing place.

Camp Hiawatha is the reason my life is the way it is today. It is scary to think what my life would be if I didnt have Hiawatha. I have gone up there every summer since I have been born and it never gets old or boring...in fact, it gets much more exciting. I love it more every summer. It is the best camp that is focused MAINLY on the campers spiritual life and bringing them closer to God, while still providing plenty of fun and entertainment with their speakers. God has worked wonders and every summer that Hiawatha is open I WILL BE THERE!!! Best place on earth...honestly.

I wait all year for one week at Hiawatha, I check the mail every day for mail from the staff members and from the friends I've made there. This camp changes the way I share the gospel with my friends and the way I pray and treat my faith and all around act like a Christian. I wish more people know about it.

I love this place with all my heart. everything about it is amazing. god works wonders on the kids too. the staff is wonderful. they give individual attention twords the kids, help them with their problems. and become very good friends with each one!! the activities are great too. they are funget you active and teach you new things. i will never stop going to this camp!

Hiawatha is the best camp ever. The staff is amazing; attentive to campers, intelligent, all are awesome christians, and all love what they do. God works in the lives of everyone that steps foot on the grounds. If you go once, you'll never want to leave.

HYC is a remarkable camp where Christ is truly magnified throughout the week. No one wants to leave on Saturday morning because of the awesome time they had. I can't wait to go back again in '07!

Hiawatha is an amazing place! God works wonders in these kids' lives, the staff are amazing and on fire for God, the activities are crazy and keep kids' attention, and the speakers are phenominal. If you were to send your child to one camp this summer, let it be Hiawatha, and watch God make a difference in his/her life.

Every camper leaves wanting to come back and bring the entire school. Many teens come back for the Blue Light Special in the last week of the summer. Everything from friends to activities create lasting memories but the staff and program dig deep into the lives of these young people to create genuine spiritual transformation in just a week at Hiawatha.

Awesome camp! Facilities, speakers, and activities are great, but the staff and the director are what make this camp stand out. Spiritual emphasis is strong, and each week is the promise of a million dollars worth of memories. They have weeks for teenagers and pre-teens. Go there!
