This is the best camp in the world. BCWS is completely unique, educating campers on science and the natural world through fun and creative activities. There's plenty of hikes, and nothing can beat the beautiful location, friendly staff, and delicious food. One of my favorite parts has been doing the River Hike, an all-day hike where you cross rivers and climbed a huge rock formation. You'll never be bored. We go on nocturnals (hikes late at night) but not all the time! Each camper gets special attention and the friends you make at BCWS will be your friends forever.

This camp doesn't have anything to do with computers and math. It is all about science, nature studies and exploring the great outdoors. Personal attention to each camper and a warm supportive camp culture is their mission.

Staff to camper ratio of 2:1. Lots of traditional camp "culture" mixed with delightful science, ecology and nature activities. Food gets rave reviews and the staff are all attentive and caring. Campers are very devoted to this camp and many go on to become counselors. The director has been at this camp over 20 years.
