This camp was horrible would never put my child through something as bad as this camp ever again. Cannot believe that my son stayed in a tent that doesn’t close and slept on not even a mat but a hard cot. Total waste of money.

Unfortunately this is our home Council camp. Attended twice, in '09 and again in '10. Our troop (55 campers) will return to a rotation to out of council camps for the foreseeable future. Facilities, personnel and program all have serious deficiencies. Most importantly, there is a pervasive attitude of defeat - no funds, few returning senior staff, reliance on too junior a staff - so the more senior staff who are at Goshen ask 'why bother'? As the adult in charge for a large troop, I have to ask myself the same question. Even with the bus service out of NoVa, there are better values out there.

The facilities are outdated, but rugged, which actually helps contribute to a better camping experience.

Goshen was the most awesome camp ever!!! The staf at Bowman were really nice and really cool! The QM loved show tunes and was really funny! GO GOSHEN!!!!

YEAH GOSHEN!! BEST CAMP EVER!! I GOT SOOOO MANY MIRET BADGES!! YEAH!! PLUSE THE NEW SHOWERS ARE GREAT!!! SOO NICE BIG IMPROVEMENT!! I ACTUALY WANT TO TAKE A SHOWER NOW! LOL

This camp's Olmsted subset was fairly excellent. The food was greatly improved for the 2006 season, although the quality of tents and campsite facilities greatly deteriorated. There is plenty to do for a reasonable price. Some of the staff are excellent, some are merely passable, and a few are kind of bad. The new showers were a welcome luxury. Most everything is kept together in good condition. Well reccomended for scouts.

The staff really don't care what you do here - I mean that could be considered a good thing but, the year i went we had some ... injuries.
