Kingswood is a very special camp. My son has been attending Kingswood since he was 9 (he's now 12) and he has loved every minute of it. It has all the things many other camps have: beautiful clear lake, fresh air, scenery, amazing activities, sports, etc., but it has one thing very few have: intelligent, caring leadership with heart. A family run camp with a culture centered around kindness and really celebrating each individual. This can be seen in the kind of counselors they hire to the type of activities offered. Also, they seem to know just what little boys/young men like to do and they make all their events so fun and interesting. From truly amazing hikes (not many camps offer to this extent), sports, tubing, water skiing, fishing, even gardening and music -- it's all there and then some. My son regularly talks about Kingswood the other 10 months of the year and still laughs when looking at pictures of Kingswood, remembering all the fun things that happened there.

You can't beat Kingswood, as far as camps are concerned. Great program, great staff, and just a spectacular camp spirit. I've had loads of fun in my time there.

Kingswood is literally heaven on earth. I can't think of a better place to spend the summer!!! Kingswood is such a close-knit and supportive community that you end up making life long friends. Some of my very best friends are those I met at camp.

Cannot say enough about this camp. I was nervous at first but after getting into the swing of things and learning how everything is done the first couple days I fit right in with everyone. Staff is wonderful and anyone who goes there will have an amazing time. My time spent there flew by and before I knew it, I had to go home and was already looking forward to next year. Awesome camp, on a lake and in the mountains!!

The best word to sum up my experience at this camp would be "excellent." Try as I might, I cannot think of a single weakness that Kingswood has. The activities are incredible, spanning form old favorites to unique innovations. The facilities are old-fashioned, but this is not because the camp simply hasn't been upgraded. It is kept this way very purposely, to promote good, clean, old-fashioned fun through laughter and time with friends. This camp has (and I cannot stress this enough) a completely top-notch staff, and each councilor will be sure to look after the campers as if they were younger brothers. Having been a camper at Kingswood for eight years, I feel confident in saying that this will be a great experience for any boy.

Best camp ever! There are so many things to do here! Its one of the very few camps that gives you a lot of choices of what you will do for the week. Everybody can find something that they will like here. You can go hiking, do land sports, waterspouts, arts and crafts, and more. All counselors are so nice and so funny. You couldn't ask for a better set of staff. Pines filed is a great place to throw a frisbee or play volleyball during B block (1.5 hours of free time). Meals here are AMAZING! First dinner of camp is chicken patties and curly fries and they couldn't be better! Nobody goes hungry at Kingswood. You go to a parade on 4th of July and a water park later into the session. Kingswood also lets you bring a music device to camp. Not many other camps let you do this. There is also rest hour that lasts for about 1.5 hours. Everyone loves rest hour. It starts right after lunch and everyone is exhausted from the morning activities. I really recommend this camp!

Best Sleepaway camp ever! At first you are nervous about camp but after a while you and your cabin mates bond and become really good friends. The counselors here are so nice and whenever I was not feeling well, they would be there for me. This camp gives you choice unlike many other camps. I would recommend this camp to a friend.

ahh i go to camp wa-klo and we have socials with kingswood. it is an amazing camp and all the guys are soooo hot and the activities are fun, especially polar bear plunge!! and this camp has sooo much personality, all the guys seem to have an amazing time here. they all love it and so do the girls who visit them!!

Well, Im openly gay and they did not apreciate that. ONly few would be my friends, not the most atheletic you may say, I guess it is okay! Activities ROCK!!!

I love kings wood, like soooooo much, counslers are soo cool, people are nice, and it is just fantastic, at my old camp peopl would be rude to eachother, people at this camp generally have good manners, great camp, love it

Kingswood is great! I was a camper there and may work there in the near future. It's a great place to send boys and as they grow the friendships they make extend beyond camps. The campers learn from each other, as well as the counselors. Being personal is what the camp is all about, counselors care deeply about their campers and many campers return as counselors. Kingswood prides itself on this, as well as its desire to keep traditions alive while always trying new things. Its a great camp, half an hour away from Dartmouth.
