I love this camp so much. My second home. counselors truly care for you and feel like older sisters. Cabin mates feel like family and meals are the best with everyone. I made so many friends here that I still communicate with, even through covid. The food here is absolutely delicious and there's a wide set of options. They also have food to meet your allergy needs. Best camp ever. All activities are fun and they find the perfect counselor for each one to make it the best. i highly recommend coming here, you will never regret it. GO GREEN GO GREYYYY

My girls have gone to this camp now for a number of years. Every year they can't wait for the two weeks they spend with their friends and the wonderful staff and counselors at Camp Cody. They genuinly love every part of the experience. I can't say enough about the activity options, the food, the cabins, the counselors, and the absolutely amazing setting. From the moment we set foot on the camp grounds we knew that this was the camp for our girls. Meeting the staff and understanding their deep commitment to giving kids the best experience possible was just the icing on the cake. This camp is truly one of a kind!

My son says Camp Cody is his favorite place in the world! He loves it so much that this year he is going back for a fourth time and bringing with him his sister, a few cousins and two of his best friends. They have all been counting the days for camp to start! He loves everything about Cody: the people, the friends he's made, the endless activities, the beautiful setting and the food. I thank Cody for making him so independent, getting him out of his comfort zone and encouraging him to try new things.

My kids have been going to Camp Cody for nine years. (My daughter returns this year as a CIT). They look forward to camp all year starting the day after they return from camp. The love and value their camp friends (neither went knowing anyone) any their camp experience. Its quite special. Cody sits on Lake Ossippee in the most beautiful part of New Hampshire. The days are gloriously warm, the nights are cool and they feel like they are truly escaping the intense heat of the summers in New York City. Early on we dealt with some homesickness--our daughter especially--but the staff at Cody helped us and her get through it in a way that was so professional but caring and kind as well. These people know what they are doing! I cant recommend this place enough. And in terms of activity, excursions and experiences--the possibilities at Cody are limitless. PS. The food is great too!

I worked at Camp Cody for 4 years and still go back to help with their annual Color War each year. It is incredible to see how much work is put into making the summer an amazing experience for all. I will be forever grateful for this place, as it’s given me a home away from home and some of my best friends (from around the world). It’s so nice to know that campers can have a digital escape and just enjoy being kids. They have something for everyone (and the program is constantly improving and getting better). A huge thank you to all that work there, from maintenance to administration. I will definitely be sending my kids there.

My daughter went to Camp Cody two years ago, when she was 12. I wanted to send her to a nearby very popular YMCA camp but couldn’t get her in as we didn’t register in time. Camp Cody was more expensive but had room for her. Camp Cody did a great job connecting with us in advance and matched her with the perfect cabin mates (She didn’t know a soul). She had an amazing experience, meeting people from all over the US, UK & Ireland, many of whom she is in touch with. I got on the YMCA waiting list and sent her there last summer as it was way more affordable. Unfortunately, her experience was not great, the girls were cliquey and she never felt like she fit in, crying herself to sleep the first couple of nights. Needless to say, she is THRILLED to be going back to Camp Cody this summer - expensive but worth it. The camp is run so professionally with an incredible attention to detail!!

I really wanted my son to have a good experience but unfortunately Camp Cody was not a good fit. The camp is run like a corporation and it is evident that it is all about making money. Some of the counselors were mean and inattentive. I understand that one can not necessarily have much control over other children's behavior but there is something about the culture of the kids that attend because unlike some other camps where the kids are kind, a lot of the kids at Cody were mean-spirited and presented with bully-like qualities. My son loved the food and said there were a number of activities to choose from. However the overall camp experience was not positive.

The camp was awful. So cliquey and dramatic. Everyone was expected to naturally fit in. SO MUCH DRAMA. It's way overpriced. Bad and snotty kids. Bratty consulers. My son hated it. Don't send your kids.

This was my two sons first experience at Camp Cody. The first day they both cried themselves to sleep. There was one counselor there that was amazing, kind and compassionate and did his best to be there for my sons when he could. The others were mean, uncaring, rude and flat out insensitive. They seemed bothered to have to deal with anyone who wasn't fitting in. It was was very "clicky" and lots of bullying. At one point when one of my sons was being bullied by obnoxious mean spirited "popular kids" one of the counsellors actually got mad at my son and said to him "well, if you want to be friends with them and fit in, why don't you try acting like them!" My son said "no way! I don't ever want to be like them, cursing, nasty, mean and disrespectful, that's not who I am. " the counselor told him to "get over himself and get a backbone". It was the worst experience of my kids life!!! The only time they felt safe and secure was when their main counselor Connor was with them.

This camp is absolutely amazing. I'm 15 now, and I went for the first time when I was 14. My first year I went with a friend, and I was excited, but definitely nervous. By the end of camp, I had been in tears multiple times because I had to leave, and couldn't stop talking about it for months. I went again this summer (2014), and it was such an incredible experience. I went there on my own and only knew a couple of girls from last year, but those girls are like sisters to me now. I still keep in touch with my friends from my first year, as well as those from this past summer, and I"m so glad I found camp Cody. On top of everything, the staff is amazing. They're great at what they do and truly love the campers, as much as the campers love them. I continue to keep in touch with many of them and they're like older siblings to me. This is an experience where you develop trust and confidence, and can't be afraid to be yourself. I'd give it 10 out of 5 stars and definitely recommend it! <3

Our 11 year old daughter attend Camp Cody last summer (2013) for the first time and had the time of her life. We found all the staff helpful and friendly. Our daughter made friends easily and we are still hearing great stories months later. Emma is begging to go back next summer and we plan on sending her.

It was our 9 year old daughter's first time at sleep away camp and she did not know anyone. We were told that they would post at least one photo of each child daily. There were a a few photos per day for the first few days, but very few after that. I called the camp to see how she was faring, considering it was her first time and we didn't see a photo for a few days. I was told "if there was a problem, you'd be notified". No warmth at all; just matter of fact. We were also disappointed that, even though we brought her luggage to the designated area around 11:00am, it was still not delivered to her cabin at 2;30 when we had to leave. We would have liked to make her bed, get her settled in, etc. and asked if we could go and bring it back and the counselor said "no". Another issue was that our daughter left two pieces of artwork and a brand new winter jacket there. We called the same day that she left and again a week later and they promised to call us back but never did.

My 14 year old's first overnight camp experience allowed her to make many new friends in the US and abroad! The activities included are endless and she loved the food. Water activities were her favorite but she ventured outside of her comfort zone for fencing and shooting! Cabins were more than expected and staff was present, active and involved! She can't wait to return in August:)

I went to Camp Cody for the first time when I was 14. I was worried that everyone would already have friends since they went there since they were little, but was pleasantly surprised. Everyone was welcoming and loving and it was an incredible environment. I had some health issues while I was there and was more than adequately taken care of. I made life long friends with both the campers and staff. There is a wonderful variety of activities and each was fun. It was so nice getting to pick my own activities every day. They also had some wonderful off camp trips to sign up for, like a trip to Fenway Park in Boston for a baseball game and and over night camping/white water rafting trip. My one complaint was the sleeping situation. The cabins were small and the bathrooms were dirty with plumbing issues. But hey, that's camp for you, and it would not have been as much fun without some "rough" times for the campers to bond over.

I love this camp it was my first summer I made so many great friends. The water sports were amazing and swimming is fun but I think we should be able to wear bikinis. My cabin was really nice with a shower. I had 4 conslers in my cabin for 7 girls which was fun. The only thing about one consler was that she was really stricked and she was would never let us hang out with our friends or the boys. I had a boy friend and she was pulling us away from eachthere which I did not like but every thing easel was great. The food was good but we had rice and meatballs for dinner one night which was great but other than that the food was good. I liked how the girls and boys did not have activedes tougther up got to hang out at night which was good. For every two weeks you go on 3 trips which is good to get out and see NH. The admenstraters are great and if you don't like your cabin or your activates you can switch. This camp is great and I all ready have bunk plans for next summer. CODY ROCK'S

This is the first and only camp that i went to but i could garenteed that its lots of fun.I went there for 2 times. The first time as a preteen and the second as a teen. I really had a lot of fun there. My favorite things about the camp is that there are many ppl from other countries (particularly britishs but also italians and Frenchs) the people there (consolers and campers) are wicked nice and there are a a lot of wicked cool evening activities. I'm not crazy about sports so the morning activities were sos. And I hate swimming so the swimming test was overwhelming to me:/ but Im pretty sure that wouldn't be a problem for most of you guys:) and for the facilities.. The cabins werent really big but they where nice. The shower place were I gues ok. But the bathroom in the cabin was DISGUSTING!! But we campers were responsible for cleaning so I guess it was our fault:D overall the camps really nice though. I made lots of friends and every time everyone cries before the camp ends:)

Just got back from visiting our boys and was amazed at how all the counselors knew them and all staff are caring towards all campers. They have so many activities and trips and always seem to be busy. Our boys were so excited to tell us about everything they have done. This has been a very satisfying first sleep away camp experience.

My daughter started attending Cody when she was nine. This will be her seventh summer in 2009. Even though she is also going to Europe and went to Peru last summer for 21 days, she will not go without at least 2 weeks at Cody. She has made terrific friends and keeps in touch with many. The staff is wonderful. I cannot say enough about Nick Robbins. The activities are varied and there are plenty of different trips and athletic events in which to participate should your camper desire. They campers are great kids from many different areas and countries, although the majority hail from the Northeast. The water sport program is terrific! The lake is truly picturesque. My daughter loved the food, too. There is good supervision, also. There are a fair amount of teenagers, as well as elementary aged campers. There is a nurse on duty at all times. My camper had asthma, and the camp was on top of it when need be. I never worried after the first year. Cody makes every summer fun!

Camp Cody Rocks! Colorwar is awesome, very well planned out and fun for everybody! The combination of the campfires and singoffs are lots of fun too. Our camp director is the funniest ever. Nick really knows everybody at the camp and is always happy to see you. The evening activities are excellent and they even make rainy days fun!

My son has been going to Camp Cody for four years and will return in his 5th year as a CIT. He ABSOLUTELY loves the camp, he loves all the water sports - wake boarding, scuba, sailing, land sports - lacrosse, basketball, archery, riflery. He claims the food is better than my cooking! The staff is great - they always know where the kids are and make sure that the kids have a great time. I could write 5000 words of praise. I have been a reference for the camp and am always happy to discuss the camp. Nick Robbins goes above and beyond with working with the kids, accomodating their requests and ensuring that they have a very rewarding experience. My son leaves camp each year counting the days till next year.

Poorly run camp. Brochure is misleadiing. VERY limited to no choice of activties (choice depends on age and whether your cabin is clean or some other stupid dining room activity.) Counselors are merely babysitters. Do not counsel, motivate or enthuse campers to have fun. Poor or non-existent instruction for water activities. NO CAMP SPIRIT.

i love camp so much. i cant wait to go back next year. camp is my favorite part of the year, if you think you might want to go but still dont wanna at the same time, just go. you will realize later that it is the best and most real place on earth and there is nowhere like it. it is the only place i know where the people are real and even if you are in a fight with someone it will get better there.go if you have ever thought about it and i will tell you that you will never regret it. and if youever do go, make sure you take the time at vespers to look up at the stars because it is like nothing you will ever see here. but from terry waking us up in the morning till going to bed 10 minutes before terry wakes us up in the morning it is the best, vespers, morning group, spree time, chill day, BUCK BUCK, morning watch, having to leave your cabin 30 minutes early to make sure you can get a table, afternoon activities, night programs, cabins. i love them all. it truly is the best place on earth
