I can't even put into words what the camp is- its a lie- your kid is starving go PICK THEM UP ITS A DUMP they lie to you about so many things- too many kids and COVID really killed all the fun. My son was cold- showers cold- bed was awful cried every single night and it was awful- not enough words to tell you here but check other sites- please SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY!! DO NOT SEND YOUR KID UNLESS YOU HATE THEM IT IS "JUVIE JAIL" the nick name

My daughter attended this camp for the past few summers. She used to love it! She was shocked when she went back for summer 2019, to see that most of the old staff was gone. Most of her friends did not return either. When I first started sending her in 2015, she had the best time! But she said that things have really changed this past summer, and wanted to come home early. She said the new staff was clueless and very self absorbed. She also said the activities became very repetitive, and when it rained they would just sit around, I feel horribly for my daughter, because she once loved this camp.

This was my sons first summer at this camp and I cannot tell you how grateful I am for this camp. My son has been having the most amazing time and learning so much. The camp director and all of the staff are wonderful people and the kids are all smiling from ear to ear. I highly recommend this camp if you are looking for the perfect place for your child. My son got to see the camp before committing to 9 weeks and he has already told me that he is going back next Summer. The smile on his face in every picture and the happiness in his voice when we talk on the phone, yes, you get to stay in connect with your child so you can watch them transform makes this whole experience even better. This camp is the real deal.

The campers are very mean th3 staff talk about campers behind their backs we are deprived from food again very mean kids staff are sexist against girls. Don’t send your kid here good faculty’s but bad people you get a schedule what you do each day you don’t always do what yo7 wan you have to participate or you get in trouble

I have been a camper here for four summers now, and this camp has changed my life. I look forward to going to camp all year long. I have made amazing life-long friends. Tony and Dale are amazing people and have truly changed my life. When summer ends, and camp is over, i look forward to the next summer instantly. CPT forever ????

Amazing Camp, Amazing Results! Sent my 13 and 11 year old kids to this camp this summer and they both had a great time and achieved great results! My son lost 20 pounds in camp over 4 weeks and then lost another 5 when he got home over these past 3 weeks. My daughter, who was not really overweight, lost 14 pounds and looks incredible. They both learned how to eat healthy and exercise and they have made this part of their daily routine now. We are so proud of them and they will be returning next year to hopefully just have fun and maintain their success.

All 3 of my sons have attended camp here over multiple summers. My eldest lost 40 pounds 6 years ago and has maintained normal weight. Now is 20 years old and continuing to do well. My middle son has a serious health concern and was treated with such care I was so impressed. My youngest son is there for the first time now and everything is going great. I recommend this camp for any child, whether they need to get healthier or not. It's beautiful, fun and teaches independence. I give 5 stars!

After starting last summer at Camp Shane and after demanding a huge payment by Friday, on Sat I was advised to puck her up due to problems. Prior to this everyone said how well she was doing n how hard she was working. Well after losing my money I contacted Camp Pocono Trails and they helped me out 100%. my daughter was sooo happy, made so many new friends and lost so much weight thanks to Amp Pocono Trails. Thank you to Tony n all the staff I give u guys a 5 Star rating. And for anyone thinking about Camp Shane they get 0 stars. And btw my daughter met lots of campers who started at Shane n like her had problems or hated it and wound up at Camp Pocono Trails.

My son had the best time of his life and lost 10 pounds in 3 weeks. Camp Pocono Trails is Gorgeous! The large private lake, swimming pools and spacious, grounds and well-maintained buildings are so inviting, I wished I could stay. Well actually I probably could stay as there is now a moms camp. The second day I saw a photo of my son on the website running and sweating with a huge grin on his face and I couldn't believe it. When he came home, he was much more confident in his physical abilities and for the first time he was also being careful and aware about what he ate but not in a neurotic way. What I appreciate is that they offer the quintessential, traditional, wholesome, super fun, overnight camp experience with the major added perks of losing weight, learning good eating and exercise habits and building confidence. I am sending him back this summer. I can't rave enough. The only con is that once the kids get home it is up to us parents to make sure the benefits last.

Miracle mountain ! This camp changed my daughters life ! She lost 30lbs and came home a different child. She learned so much there. She was seen for who she is and not what she looks like. She still deals with bulling at school but she takes a different approach. Thank you so much ! See you this summer !

After six weeks at Camp Pocono Trails, my two sons returned home last night. Though we could see some changes online and sense some change over the phone we were in no way prepared for the amazing transformation that occurred. The physical changes are astounding. They are both strong, thin, and healthy looking. But far more important to us our their changes in character and personality. They are both more confident, self assured, humble, and active. Their lives and the lives of our family have been transformed forever. Both came home with a wealth of knowledge about nutrition, cooking, and fitness. Not only did they know things that they had never cared about prior but they were eager to live out and continue their new lifestyle at home. I sent off two boys and at the end of the summer CPT sent back two charming and self assured young men. As a former Camp Administrator, I have been continually impressed with the attitude, organization, and work ethic of Tony and his staff

This camp changed my life. I'm a 16 year old girl and I have always been overweight. I was teased alot by the boys at my school and I was really unhappy with my life. I decided to make a change and asked my mom to send me to this camp, after seeing it advertised on MTV. This was the best experience of my life! I made so many friends and I've never had this much confidence. I lost 15 lbs in 4 weeks and then lost another 8 when I got back from camp. For the first time in years, I'm in the normal category for my weight! It's amazing how just 4 weeks turned my life around. I haven't been teased for my weight since coming back from camp and the boys who were once bullying me actually wanted to date me! Funny how life works :) Anyways, going to this camp was so great and I've kept in touch with the friends that I met. I'm going back to camp again this summer. Actually, I'm leaving in a couple days! If you're looking to become a happier and healthier person, you should come to this camp!

At 13 my daughter has experienced a pain no parent wants to go through. Severe BULLYING by her classmates the last two yrs. They called her names, made cow noises. attacked her and ignored her. I felt like I was losing my daughter. Once happy with tons of friends she now had only one friend and fell into a a bad depression. When I brought her to New Image / Camp Pocono , her whole life changed. My daughter was happy, she was accepted by campers all over the country(whom she skypes daily) and lost total since July 15th 38lbs. she looks great, feels great and came home so much healthier. My daughter was now happier.I cannot thank Tony Sparber and his staff enough. I know she had a long road ahead of her to gain self esteem however this camp really helped her realize she was a good friend and person. No therapist could have taught her that in the 5 weeks she was there. By the way- She's going back. she wants to get 20 more lbs (Her goal) Thank you all . you saved her! bobbi brandao

I have sent my son and daughter to CPT for the last 4 summers and they will be attending again this summer. It is the most amazing camp for children.
It is really heartbreaking as parents to deal with an overweight child(s) and not know how to fix the problem while trying everything. Sending them to CPT is the answer.....
The first year they lost so much weight and gained so much confidence in themselves which was and is life changing for them.
The summers that followed were the same, and I'm so proud to tell you my children are in the top physical and mental condition ever.
I send them back to CPT because it is also a fun, exciting, healthy environment and they want to be there each summer among their friends.
Please, make the investment in your child’s healthy future and look into a summer of CPT for your child. It is the one investment that will pay you back for ever. Thank you so much Tony and your wonderful caring staff!!!

I WOULD NEVER EVER send my child back to this camp.He was yelling and saying that it was my fault my child was sick when i was not even there!! He has some serious problems and should not be around children. Also it costs $8,000 dollars for 2 weeks it is to much just for a weight loss camp. My opinion would bee not to even step near this camp if you care at all for your child. The consolers paid no attention at all to my girls and did not stop them from getting teased. They came home feeling worse about themselves then before!! SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GET A PERSONAL TRAINER OR SOMETHING!! UNLESS YOU WANT YOUR CHILD TO GET SICK THENTHE MANAGER WILL BLAME YOU! SAVE YOUR BREATHE AND YOUR MONEY AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!

Overall, a very good experience for our 11 year old. She liked the food and the counselors. Some of the campers have severe psychological issues and attend because they need to lose 100 lbs. She learned a lot, ate very good food, took nutrition classes, was busy all day, called home twice a week. She said she wants to go back next year. The counselors were amazing. THey were very safety oriented and seemed to care for our daughter a lot. I think Tony, the owner, could be a little more warm and fuzzy and not so intimidating. It is a big camp. Not every one knows your name, like smaller camps. However, when I called to check on her, they were responsive and helpful. Our daughter learned new skills, new exercise, nutrition, how to care for herself. Overall we were very impressed with the camp and the structure. There are a lot of activities. There was definitely some girl camper drama which took away from the experience. The camp handled it well however.

To all parents who are looking for a safe environment for their child I highly discourage you from choosing Camp Pocono Trails. It's not about their approach to weight loss. They do a good job, although, short lived for the child once they come home. The problem is the management of the camp. In particular the owner, Mr. Tony Sparber. My son was very sick at the camp. The camp did not let me know. I was not permitted to speak with the nursing staff. When I did get to my child, he was extremely ill and Pocono Trails did not want to take any responsibility. The worst part was how I was treated by Mr. Tony Sparber. When I came to pick him up, he attacked me verbally for questioning the camp, screamed, yelled and so on. It was frightening for me. I was scared for myself and my child. The staff is also clearly scared. It's the trickle down. This mental abuse is clearly nothing you want your child to endure. Do not be deceived by how pretty it is. Love your child, find another camp.

this camp has changed my life for the better. i am 14 and it was my first summer and i can not thank tony enough. of coarse there were clicks but were is there not. you make so many true friends you learn how to eat and workout. i am going back for the 2k11 summer. yes, it is pricy but it is worth it.. i can not stress this enough if your child is over weight send them here. and once your home the support does not stop. tony calls you to see how you are doing. i just had a phone call with him about a week ago.. so its an amazing place.. <3

We sent our daughter to CPT for the entire summer 2010. She had been bullied and ridiculed at school because of her weight. She had the most amazing time. She lost almost 30lbs. Made so many TRUE friends. We are so grateful to Tony and everyone for giving our little girl an opportunity to regain some self confidence. She loved Zumba, The plays, the staff, the trips,Loved the food. It's expensive for a "regular" family but it is well worth the sacrifice we had to make. She can't wait to go back. All in all "it was an amazing experience". Her words, not mine. I wish every kid dealing with the heartace of being overweight could experience this camp.

My 2 kids have spent two summers at this AMAZING camp. They have lost so much weight, gained so much confidence, and can't wait to go back next summer. They love CPT. Parents, if you ever had to deal with other kids calling your child "fat" and trying to help them lose weight and get healthy with little or no results, DO THIS FOR THEM!!! The results are really fantastic. It is so worth the cost. The camp and staff are so caring. You kids will become the best they can be. Slim, healthy, altheltic, confident, and no longer will they be called "fat" again. CPT is the BEST weight loss camp and I'm so thankful I sent my kids there....It works..This is the one gift you can give them that will change their live forever..

facilities are gross, and lowered my childs self image. I sent my daughter here to boost her self image, and she came home with lower self confidence then when she went in. I have invested time in sending her to a private trainer 3 times a week as well as nutritionist. This has boosted her perspective on herself immensely unlike CPT. Please, this camp is terrible, spare your child.

This camp sucks. I was treated like I didn't even exist. My brother also agreed that he hated this camp. If you are choosing to go here, please make the right choice and DO NOT. It is a waste of 8000 dollars for 2 weeks. My parents forced me here and they threaten to send me back here if I don't do chores. Hell. They don't even know I rate this stupid camp. If people stop coming here. then everybody who hates this camp owner will be happy when he goes out of biz. People who were in my cabin wee ****s. DO THE RIGHT THING AND STAY HOME DURING THE SUMMER. Don't make the mistake my parents did.

This is the greatest place on earth. I have been attending this camp for 5 years and I wish it were all year round. I have made such a change both physically and mentally. I love being sorrunded by the most incredible people out there. The staff and director are fantastic and I speak highly of them to all. I have formed a family at cpt and would not trade it for the world..

My parents said that going to a fitness camp was in my best intrest...I was so scared because i was leaving my best friend, my mom. But when i was there they made me feel good. I also made friends. Friends that i still talk to now. I feel really good after losing 22 lbs in eight weeks. I look and feel great. the counselors helped me and they were great mentors....i never had a problem with anyone...i was not made fun of at all, it feels so good because i get it all year round. its a great feelings knowing everyone is there for the same reason...to lose weight and have so much fun!! I love the water park trips...camp really changed my life...showed me there are nice people

i loved the camp it was great. every consuler was well trained. i was able to loose 35 lbs after 6 weeks there. evry one was helpful and i had a good time there.

This camp would get the highest marks if it weren't for one element -- the camp owner. He was extremely abusive and disrespectful towards us as we attempted to deal, long-distance, with our child's protracted illness. Our experience with the staff was mostly positive although everyone we came into contact with seemed to be fairly stressed (I wonder why?), Our positive feelings about the staff were greatly overshadowed by the overwhelming negative and that's why the BAD rating for Staff and Personal Attention. The results of their weight loss program are undeniably good and the facility is clean and well-appointed. For these reasons, I am certain that many people will give this camp a positive rating but we, in good conscience, cannot for the reasons stated above.
