I have been going to this camp for since I was nine, consistently every summer. This year I am going on a combo in-camp/expedition trip and I am very excited. The counselors here are great, and so are the activities. I have gotten quite close with both my counselors and cabin mates. The sunsets are stunning and it is the best location ever

Exceptional YMCA camp in the most beautiful place in the world! Cannot be beat, the clear water of the sound, Amazing sunsets and the deer and other wildlife make it amazing. Counselors are great and the activities. I cannot wait to return here for many years to come!

While the varied activities, many facilities, vast grounds, and focus on challenge and self-confidence make Orkila wonderful, it's the fantastic staff at this camp that make it life-changing.

Everything is wonderful, I would go to the bathroom at night just to see the stars, there were so many, way more than in LA where i came from.

This Camp was amazing. My cabin was in the most amazing spot, right on the beach. Camp Orkila had a happy and warm feeling to it. My cabinmates and camp unit felt like family. The food was really good and the sunsets are the best in the world. I went to Camp Orkila from out of state expecting rain, but the sun was out the whole time. The open air cabins were very special and it was hilarious when a racoon would come in during the night. It is the best camp in the world and I will come back for many years to come.

Really the best camp ever! It doesn't matter if you're just coming into it or have been going for years- everyone will welcome you like you've been friends forever. I've been going for 3 years and now I'm coming back this year as an OSI! That's an Orkila Summer Intern. We get to dapple in everything over 1.5 months. Working in the kitchens or on the farm or being a counselor for 2 weeks (one with younger kids and one with older)- we really get an all around education in the running of a camp. The summer's almost here and can't wait!! One thing that I really like (and that I will be a part of this year) is that staff get 10 days of training on site before camp even starts. This builds really strong bonds between the staff and it shows. You can really tell when everyone is working as one cohesive group- it makes camp so much more fun for everyone! "Feel the Rhythm! Amazing place, gorgeous location and great vibe/atmosphere. The kids are very relaxed and well taken care of. Awesome camp!!
