Click to report rating    6/18/13   5     5     5     5     5   I went there as a kid back in 94-98 and to this day I still reminisce about my years at Pinemere. I remember the camp songs and the outdoors training which I use today with my kids. Amazing experience, so glad I went then. RID: 44800
Click to report rating    6/2/13   5     5     5     5     5   Pinemere is a camp that once you go there you can't go anywhere else. I love camp so much and I haven't met anyone who dislikes Pinemere. Pinemere is my home away from home RID: 44646

Also, if you want sights, the sunsets are unbeatably gorgeous! just pack sunscreen RID: 43776
Click to report rating    2/16/13   5     5     5     5     5   PINEMERE!!! i dont even know where to start!! well... for the past eight years pinemere has been my second home!not even my second home...just my home. its where i belong. everything about it it AMAZING! some people think that it is crazy to be away from technology for 7 weeks, but it makes the experience 84361948 times better!I have made the best of friends and i talk to them every day! camp friends are the best friends! i tell them everything and i know that they will always have my back. no matter what. the activities are so much fun! there is suck a wide variety and i don't know how someone couldn't love it! If you go, it will be the best summer of your life. i promise it. oh... and the counselors are amazing. since they are so young, they truly do understand us, and take the time to get to know everyone. PINEMERE!!! RID: 43724
Click to report rating    12/24/12   5     4     5     5     5   I don't know what i would do if I couldn't go to Pinemere. it truly is my home away from home. Since the counselors are in their teens and twenties they are old enough to be responsible and take care of the campers but the are young enough to understand the campers. they always find the perfect balance between friend and parent. i feel 100% comfortable at Pinemere. i'm very shy at home but and camp I come out of my shell. It will be my 5th summer next summer and it gets better every year. i went to Camp Harlam before Pinemere and I'm so glad i switched. the camp is small so you know everyone and everyone knows you. all the supervisors know everyone too. i consider all the supervisors as my parents. 18360 means the world to me, i wait all year to go to camp. i talk to my friends from camp daily and tell then everything even though we live thousands of miles apart. they do a great good job of making sure all the campers are happy. pinemere is that classic camp that you think about when y RID: 43265
Click to report rating    11/27/12   5     5     5     5     5   I have been going to Pinemere for 6 years and this summer will be my 7th. 7 SUMMERS! That must that this camp is amazing. Pinemere is a very warm ( loving and HOT) environment. I feel like everyone is one big family! However, it is a very down to earth camp, so if you are expecting to see computers and new top end bathrooms, go to a different camp! Camp has tought me to be less spoiled. I cannot express my love for this camp. Some people might think that having young counselors is a bad thing, but it is great! Since they are in their late teens to early 20s they get you. They know what you are going through because they were in your position not too long ago. Plus, the supervisors are like mom and dads. If you send your child here, you wont regret it. I am so glad i chose Pinemere over Harlam, or Ramah. :) RID: 43107

Click to report rating    8/2/12   5     4     5     5     5   My two sons have attended Pinemere for a total of five summers. They have had an amazing time. I have been impressed with the leadership of the camp and appreciate the mix of experienced, adult staff and college-aged counselors. My sons love the spirit at the camp and enjoy the activities, everything from Lake, with a cool 'water playground' to the usual sports to adventure ropes to woodworking. The camp is small enough that everyone knows your name and always seems to be looking out for you. My sons come home more independent and more self confident. We love Pinemere! RID: 42201

The quote is " Camp friends are the best friends." Pinemere Camp mskes that saying true. It is so much fun there and the counselors are young so they understand you. The staff really make an effort to know who you are and they make you feel welcome. Pinemere is amazing if you love friends, outdoors, sports, and the whle camp experience!!! I this summer is going to be my sixth summer at Pinemere and each summer is better than the last. Everyone is supper nice and loving... KNOWING THAT WILL GET TO GO TO PINEMERE IN THE SUMMER, MAKES EVERYTHING OK :) RID: 40433

Click to report rating    7/31/11   5     5     5     5     5   This was my first year at Pinemere, and i LOVED IT!!!! My counselors were always there to help us, and I made lots of new friends. The staff is kind and helpful, and the tents/bunks are great. My bunk had the new bathrooms, which were fantastic, and everyone will have them next summer. The activities are fun and interesting, not to mention totally unique! Whenever you have a problem, the counselors are there for you. I couldn't have had a better first year! Pinemere is the best camp i could imagine! :D RID: 36568
Click to report rating    10/3/10   5     4     5     5     5   OMG I don't know what to say, I love camp so much. From the minute I arive I feal like I am part of the camp family! Pinemere is the camp where everyone knows your name weather your the same age gender or what. Camp is one big family rapped up into one. The minute I leave camp I cry because I miss my friends so much. Durring the offseason I cry all the time because I miss camp. I want to go back for another 7 weeks of camp. I miss camp a ton. I love camp so much that I signed up on pick up day for next summer. The activtes are nice. We get to pick one or two activites we do a day and we get to vote as a bunk. RID: 34180
Click to report rating    7/17/10   4     5     4     4     2   Poorly run. Top heavy overpaid top staff causes tuition to be higher than market. It's been several years since Pinemere was full all season. Now it's not even full first 4weeks. Shame,Shame,Shame, RID: 33366
Click to report rating    5/22/10   5     5     5     5     4   Pinemere was one of the best experiences ever. I made some wonderful friends who I still keep in touch with. My counselors were so much fun and really got to know us. Also, the camp does a really good job of making sure you do a variety of activities; there's something that suits everyone. The bunks are rustic, as they're intended to be, but everything works generally well. The food is pretty tasty too (I will forever love cheese toasties). It is a bit expensive, especially in this economy. Despite that, it's well worth it. Although it may not be for everyone, me (and many other campers/alumni) have fallen in love with Pinemere, and perhaps you (or your child) will too. RID: 32816
Click to report rating    12/25/09   2     1     1     1     1   worst camp experience. staff doesn't care about your happiness at all. horrible and disgusting facilities. RID: 31774

Click to report rating    12/21/07   5     5     5     5     5   oh my god, Camp Pinemere, how can i describe it? BEST EXPERIENCE OF MY ENTIRE LIFE I LOVE PINEMERE CAMP! pinemere is amazing the activities are extremely varied and well supervised. i love the sports, arts, adventure and EVERYTHING about camp. the councelors are some of the nicest people i have ever met, and for the person below, it would be impossible for you to have a 15 or 16 year old as a councelor because they are c i ts and c i t 2s at that age, spending TWO YEARS training to be great councelors. the food is great, i love it, it tastes almost better than the food i have at home! and yes, you do have a say in your activities, your bunk votes on the activities that they want to do for that week. pinemere is the best camp experiene i have ever had, and the facilitis are great, the bathrooms messhall, arts and crafts and theatre fecilities are newly re done and wonderful. i dont understand how someone could not like pinemere, it is amazing, and i have the closest friends from there. RID: 18210

Click to report rating    2/19/07   3     4     2     2     4   First, I must say that I enjoyed my time at Pinemere. It was a perfect "first camp" experience. But, I'd never go back. Yet, nevertheless, I would recommend people to go. First off, the staff was too young. All my counselors were 15 or 16, and went nuts whenever there were any problems. Some were nice but others were a little nutty. The bunks were pretty good, seeing that we got the brand new bathrooms. As long as your a girl you're pretty lucky, seeing as the boys sleep in tents. The activities were horrible to my needs. I LOVE the arts, and Pinemere had the worst art department I had ever seen. The visual arts were unsupervised and juvenile. The theater department was third rate. You could not pick what classes you wanted to take. It was a cheap camp, though, compared to others. However, the community was amazing. It was wonderful to be around so many Jewish kids. I am still extremly close to one of my friends that I made there. I loved the services and the food. Ok RID: 7946
