Be careful, children don't have seatbelts on the bus and kids are thrown from seats on a regular basis. This camp is beyond "no frills" and is "basic" in a not great way. Kids are unplugged which is great, however staff is on their phones, dressed inappropriately and walking around with bluetooth speakers. The leadership team is weak. There is also a store for kids to buy cold water and gatorade -- young children are encouraged to bring cash to camp to pay for water and gatorade. The camp is $750/week, one would think the kids could have water included in the fee.

Unsanitary and smells like sewage mid-summer do to a lack of plumbing / flushing toilets. Counselors are on their phones and kids are left to just do the same things day in and day out. Do not expect swimming progress. This camp is living on being a default Jewish day camp for Newton, Brookline and the surrounding areas. It is pretty gross and boring for the kids.

I just finished my second year as a staff member here and I absolutely love it! Kids are always busy with lots of activities, the staff are friendly and cheerful, and kids feel like they belong socially. The only issue I have is lack of indoor facilities for rainy days or super hot days.

I just finished my CIT year (entering 10th grade) at Grossman camp. I have been going since Galil (entering 1st grade) and I love it. Over the past 10 years I have had the most fun I could ever imagine! I have made some amazing friends ther who I can't imagine life without. Next summer I will be a junior counselor. Looking back at all the memories of grossman camp are great! I would highly recommend it to anyone. I wish I could go there forever! It will always have a special place in my heart that I will never let go of.

This camp is amazing. I left it for one year and I know I will come back again.The staff is super nice.

I go to this camp every year, because I don't know what else to do. It's basically just like jew sleep away camp, but it's day camp. All the activities are really fun, but camp is way too cliquey! The counselors only pay attention to the "popular kids", who have been going since they were five. All the popular kids are Jappy snobs, who in older units in Kibbutz just try to find new places every overnight to hook up. Maccabiah rocks though and final prez is a def highlight of the summer. Stu is a cranky old man who needs to get off his golf cart.. He's really rude. I am going back this summer for the sole purpose of maccabiah and getting to work with children in a strongly bonded jewish community. So bottom line is: if you do not care about popularity come, but if you do not want to be bullied for not wanting to play spin the bottle in the lodge in older units never come. The camp is great for younger children and introduces sleep away camp like which will make them want to go later

this camp is awsome, its so fun that you never want it to end. Theres always choices so you never have to do anything you dont want to. The counselors are laid back and nice but they make sure to create a bond with the kids and keep them supervised.

1st off it is Grossman not Grossmans2nd this camp is the most amazing thing in the entire world! i just finished my CIT year there which was my tenth year at this camp ALL of my best friends are from there and the bond that i have with all my friend i made there is AMAZING the one thing people said was bad was bathrooms.. BUT they got new one OH YEAHH!!!... when you are younger it isn't AS much fun because occasionally the activities can get a bit boring BUT if you get into them and make friends you will still have a blast! as you get older and do macabia well it is the best thing in the WORLD i love this camp so much and it still hasn't hit me that im done being a camper there and when it does im going to die anways so there is alimit of 1000 on the review thing and im running out soon and there is not enough words to describe how amazing this camp is and how much it means to me i love this place more than anything it is my life and lastly this camp DOES NOT HAVE A CLICQUE PROBLEM!!!

I LOVE THIS CAMP!! Like everyone else i've made some of my greatest friends here. I always get excited to go back to camp every year. this year will be my 7th year (I will be a CIT). And as most kids know or will know, Maccabiah will become your life but it's totally worth it. That's one of the reasons I go back in the summer. GROSSMAN=AWESOME

im goin 4 my 10th year and i love it. Staff are awsome, they let u do anything. te activities r okay but ur with people uv known since b4 u could spell. Bathrooms r great now they have this spray thing that smells good. Who gives a**** about personal attention ur with frends that rock and its sooooooo cheep its so worth it..

If you go there for a long time (since carmel)its such a good camp. The bathrooms rock now and its so free. You can do anything. Ive been going there for 7 years. I'm Looking forward for another great year.

Omahgodddd (: I absolutely love this camp. I have gone tothis camp for 6 summers and this will be my 7th (: The counselors are amazing and who cares if the bathrooms are disgusting. They got new ones this past year. They are improving every year and this camp is just gonna get better and better. This camp makes my summer the time of my life. I met so many of my best friends there and I would never ever go to any other camp (: The counselors are awesome and they help you out a lot! I love this camp!!

I went for 3 summers when i was small and had fun with my neiborhood friends. I don't really remember much, other than I got really sick and couldn't go on the overnight.

grossman is the best camp of my life. i've gone there for 9 summers, carmel-kibbutz a, and i'm definitely going back next year. i'm about ot be a 10 year vet and i love the camp and the people. maccabiah is amazingly fun, and even though the facilities, especially the bathrooms, aren't so great, they make the best of it all. plus there are going to be nicer bathrooms there next year (so excited)! the lake isn't that bad. i had fun in it when i was little. now that there are overnights in the lodge, i'm only loving the camp more. i made my best friends at grossman. i love it and i bet i'll be a counselor there one day.

Camp Grossman is a wonderful place with quality programs and staff who really care about kids. It's also in a beautiful location.

The bathrooms are absolutely disgusting, unclean and very insanitary. imagine a pit of ****. The conselours dont care, and the little kids get bullied on the bus to and from camp. the lake is disgusting and the swim lessons are pointless. the maccabiah is totally useless and i have not met a single camper who enjoys it. the units are disgusting, and the people are unfriendly. the sports are a joke, and overall this camp is horrible. the bugs are insane and the nurses office is gross. I've gone to this camp for 6-7 years, NOT by my choice. i finally said no and left it, thank god.

This camp is fabulous. I particularly love their old Tarboot teacher! She was great - she gave out hershey kisses at the end of each day. I think its pretty neat that there is a special needs program so that every kid can have a camp experience. And I LOVE Maccabiah - definitely the best part of the day. There has been so much improvemen with the camp over the years - the lake sparkles (with hardly any seaweed), we've got a new water trampoline, a life-size game of connect-four, a fabulous ropes course, and lots of great people. Come to Grossman!

this camp stinks! its just horrible. the counselors are especially bad. they just dont seem to care. the activities are really boring and stupid. overall, i would not recommend going to grossmans. at all.
