I attended this camp for a total of 9 years. In the moment, I had the time of my life, but thinking back as I am now an adult, I am disgusted by the way upper staff treated my bunk. The upper staff picks favorites and if you are not one of them, you are a nobody. They made it very clear that they did not like us across the camp and it brought lots of anxiety into my life. If you want your child to be valued, loved, and respected by their camp family, do not send them to Saginaw.

My two kids attend Camp Saginaw. They LOVE IT! They count down the days until camp starts and wear their Saginaw gear all year. I strongly believe that Saginaw offers a ton of activities, has a well rounded program, and offers emotional support. Sending your kids off the first summer can be tough and we felt very comfortable with the communication and family feeling that Saginaw offers. I also love how my kids are unplugged all summer with no access to their cell phone. Keep up the good work.

This camp I wonderful for the athletic, adorable, outgoing child. If your child has anxiety or has a hard time fitting in then "the head staff" doesn't want them there. They are heartless, and only care about your kid as long as they are easy and fit in. My child suffers from anxiety which they were informed of way ahead of the start of camp and assured me all would be well. They eventually asked us to come pick up our child who didn't want to go home and told our child it was her parents decision. Never followed up to see if she was okay and immediately deleted our camp account online. All because a 10 year old was having a hard time fitting in. Jessica should be ashamed of herself and I pray that her children never suffer from anxiety so she or her child doesn't go through this nightmare that our family did. After calling several times and threatening to sue we were given a refund but never received our child's art projects, packages or mail. That is just common courtesy.

I was forced by my parents to attend this camp for several years and my experiences at Camp Saginaw were some of the worst of my life. This camp is very athletic orientated and I always hated sports and was not good at anything. Since I was forced to participate I was often ridiculed and called names by other campers. Worst of all we were forced to play baseball while all the girls in the camp watched from the pool and yelled rude things unsupervised. Besides sports there was not much else to do.I did enjoy canoeing but we weren't allowed to do that very often so my favorite pastime was going off by myself to "hide" in the woods and be alone.One year one of the staff sexually abused one of my bunk mates and I pretended to be asleep but saw what was going on. I wouldn't recommend this camp to anyone unless all they wanted to do is play baseball and basketball all summer. Saginaw was one of the most miserable experiences of my life. It might be somebody's idea of fun but not mine.

After my child did the weekend club last year I signed my daughter up for a month. When we pulled into the parking lot, Jessica, the owner, remembered my daughter and gave her a big hello! My daughter had some homesickness. We dealt with guidance counselor, Marcee S. who really helped. Whenever my child had a problem or I was nervous about her adjustment, Marcee always got back to me within the same day. I just got back from Saginaw from visiting day #2. The camp has very nice facilities. Marcee came right over and introduced herself to us. I got to meet most of my daughter's counselors. They were very kind and interested in her. I got the feeling they were there because they wanted to be there, and working at an overnight camp; not only for a paycheck. My daughter especially likes the variety and quality of the nighttime activities. Today they went to Hershey Park. My daughter's only wish is for more electives. But each camp has its own style. Otherwise, I very highly recommend!

I hate this camp! When I went last year I loved it but when I came back this year I hated it! The people here are extremely mean and cliquey, the cabins are dirty and gross, and the counselors completely neglected me! Worst camp ever. If you want your daughter/son to have the worst summer of their life, by all means please send them here.

I had such a great time at camp Saginaw! It is the best camp ever! From swimming to water tubing to dance and gymnamstics there is never a time when I am bored! There is so many things to do! Best camp ever and definitely the summer of your life! :)

A great overall camp.......I highly recommend it....The traditions put this camp high and above other camps....Great activities.......The only even minor concern is a spider or two...but thats just a part of all summer camps......Overall a great camp with a large range of activities. Amazing camp

This year will be my 3rd summer and i loovee it! everyone is so nice and supportive, and half of all of my friends are from saginaw. color war is a blassttt you get to try so many things that you have never thought of trying like scuba diving and snorkling. i would totallly send my kids here when im older this camp is the best!!

I can honestly say that Camp Saginaw is the greatest place in the entire world. I've spent over half of my life at this place that brings you closer to people you would have never even met otherwise. Both the boys and girls I've grown up with continue to be my best friends and even though I am nearing my final summer, I know they will be my bestfriends for life. SAGINAWWWWW. 19363. it's literally the best thing in the whole world. I've learned the best life skills and the staff, facilities, activities, personal attention, and monetary value are to die for. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE send your kids here, I can honestly say that they'll thank you forever. My first summer as a seven year old I hated it. I was homesick and WAY to far away from home, but my parents told me it was best to go back and I can't thank them enough for making that decision for me. Once a dove, always a dove.

alright. last year when i got back from camp i wrote the review that started with SAGINAW IS LIFE. well, i just got back, actually today, from camp. im completely torn apart. ive never been sadder to leave a place, to leave people, to leave my true home. the house i live in during the year doesnt feel right, and nothing feels okay. i feel like this is just a bad dream that i cant wake up from but in reality i have to understand that all i have to do is wait 10 lonely months to regather in the place where i belong. as you can see, i strongly recommend camp saginaw, for the summers of your life.

hey, to all of you who are complaining about bee stings? let me know when you find a camp who doesnt have bees. no place is perfect, but here you will create memories that will last a lifetime. ive learned so much about myself at camp saginaw, and ive done things that i would have never done outside of this camp. it opens up so many new activities and everyone here alway smakes you feel good about yoruself and thats so special. my best friends were made here and they are the people who i know i can always turn to for whatever i need, always. if you are a parent, send your children here if they wanna make memories that last a lifetime as well as friendships. the wide range of activities gives you so many more experiences and memories to carry throughout your life. the people are great and so are the staff and you will never feel alone or lonely. this camp is my life and it always will be. acrop 08!!

okay for the people that dont like this camp because they got stung by a bee, dont like bugs, or because your hair was "forcefully brushed against your will" get over it, your deffinately not gonna find a place in the world without bugs and camp saginaw is only the greatest experience in the world and i live for the summers and every year when i get home i count down to the next. i suggest that you send your children there cause i know i will when i get older. ACROPOLIS 2008!

This place is a second home for me. I can truly say i have met the most amazing people and made the best of friends. I have been counting down for next summer since they day we got home last summer. CANT WAIT FOR AIDES 08 in 121 dayss to finally be home!

I LOVE SAGINAW! WHOOT BUNK G!<3333 The cookies really are some of the best I've ever tasted [wow I sound like I'm addicted to cookies now ahah] I am returning for my second year to camp, ACROPOLIS WHOOT WHOOT! The only thing I hated about it was instructional swim and one of my counselors was really mean sometimes, but whatever. Won't have her next year! But, Saginaw is really nice, and I recommend it to ANYONE who loves fun and friendship.

This year had been my second year and i loved it so much! The Acropolis makes all the difference, because it is so much more fun! I cant wait until next summer... Camp Saginaw is my life! I reccomend it highly for ages 13-16! When you are younger it is a bit harder on you, but I recommend it for kids 8-12, too, if they dont get homesick... CAMP SAGINAW IS THE GREATEST!!!

Most of the kids had a great time but the counslers are treated as sub-human. Isrealis were treated much harder which is ironic since it is a Jewish camp. Everyone is under so much pressure its hard to enjoy the job and it turns into "kids pool, 11am kids upper field 12pm" because they are afraid to be a minuet late. Some children reported being "yelled at" by some counslers who said things to children that should never even be imagined. One child had their hair forcefully brushed against their will. These counslers were not reprimanded yet given privleges. Hopefully next year the staff (upper and lower) will have a major turn around. Facilites were ok. Only two bunks were nice, the other ones were gross with broken windows, the pool was closed all the time and the health center could have cared less about all things health.

SAGINAW IS LIFE. this place has been my home for 5 summers. it is the best place to be, but the hardest to leave. i would sign up for 12 monthes there if it was possible. it is an amazing place that has made me who i am. i love it so much, and if you are trying to consider a camp for your kid, this one should definitly qualify. this will be the summer of their life and they will love it. there are so many experiances, great people, memories, and staff. the activites are awesome too. i have tried soo many new things that my life would have been different without. i love everybody there, even if i dont know them. we all share something in commen-the love for camp. i wouldnt be who i am without it and i there is not enough time for me to describe how much i love it. i keep intouch with a my friends and i love seeing them through the school year. i would never want to spend my summer anywhere but saginaw.

This is my kids' second summer at Saginaw. They love it. The varied activities keep them busy and involved. The counselors are great. They've met many friends. They live to go to camp!

THIS CAMP IS MY LIFE AND I AM NOT EVEN JOKING. it definately grows on you and now i cant even imagine being able to live without it. i miss all hte peole and all the memories ive shared with them. i am so excited for acropolis 07 . it will be AMAZING ALI BERG IS HERA!!!! wow. my life is here. i wish i could go back every summer.. oh well. only 2 more years as a camper. i might as well make the best of it. its like heaven on earth and i am defiantely sending my kids there. just like my mom did. she went there and didnt even give me choices of where to go. shes like im sending yo uto saginaw. and i am happy beyond believe she did.

Saginaw's staff are usually very good the buildings are clean and the activities range from a game of X-box to water skying to swimming to sports to even ATV's. Camp Saginaw is an amazing place to spend your summer.

I am a camper at Camp Saginaw.This will be my third year going there.It is so much fun!My first year going there,I was very scared.I didn't even know one person.After being there for an one hour, i felt like i was in heaven.I love Camp Saginaw!

my 3 children are now third generation at camp saginaw and love it as much as I did. It is fun to relive the same memories that I had there 30 years ago. Now if I could only figure out how I could become a camper again.........
