Staff is underqualified to be watching over the children and handling issues or situations that call for additional help. Multiple campers get bullied by other campers and the staff try to keep it as hush hush as possible. As a parent, you will not know what your child truly went through until you pick them up. It doesn’t matter how much your child will try and advocate for themselves and try and get help, it will fall on deaf ears. The directors are awful and do not follow through. Parent laiasons do not return phone calls. Do yourself a favor and find another overnight camp like we have and you will see such a huge difference!

I went for about 5 years in a row. I think when I was younger, it was really important to me to have this community and I really do believe it helped me grow as a person. As I got older though, the activities stayed the same, girls got cattier, and I didn't have as good of a time. A lot of the girls here go to the same schools in the area and as someone from out of town, I've definitely been stuck in situations where girls in the cabin are talking about guys at their school and I had nothing to say. Overall, I do think it was really good for me to learn how to live with people, and it ultimately moved me to go to boarding school (and I loved boarding school). Some staff is great, some will talk behind the camper's backs.

How could some people hate this camp? i just came back a few days ago ,and I was crying my eyes out because I hated to leave. I mean yes the count off can get annoying and the bathrooms are gross, but I really loved the activities and all the girls were so nice and funny. i've made so many friends that i will keep forever! This was my second year at camp and i plan to work there in a few years. How dare anyone say the zipline wasn't worth it!! >:( I LOVED IT! Please some of you people are being rude. 'Hate' is such a strong word to say to something that makes me so happy.

I hated this camp.im never going to camp again.they head-counted us every 20 ft, if you had to pee in the middle of the night;u wake up a counseler, and a buddy, to walk 20ft. to the bathroom. there were only 3 sinks,n 45 girls, and a 2 min.time limit in the cold shower. the staff was ok, but our counseler was the worst, she only let us do what she wanted us to do, if she wanted quiet time to be quiet it wud be; but if she was hungry she would let us talk in a circle and eat our food. all the other counselers played pranks while ours screamed at us, when it was the other cabin being loud. the activities were terrible. it took 3 hours to go on a 30 sec. zipline, the obstacle course was basically, getting 30 people over a 2 ft. rope; "fun", and the entire time we didnt have a single campfire. in the morning we had to go to"church cirlce"and they told us the camp has nothing to do with religion. the beds were so uncomfortable;i honestly slept on the floor.basically it was like a prisoncamp

This is camp is the absolute most spectacular place I've ever been! Before I went to this boring day camp that had a mean staff and a really boring activities for us to do, so if it weren't for my somewhat overexcited friend and advertiser, I would have had low expectations for this camp. However, after going there for two weeks and encountering a true sleepaway camp experience, I knew that I was coming back. Everyone here was kind and welcoming, and even when I felt homesick they were there to comfort me and make camp feel like a second home. In fact, I feel as if it is a second home, because it is just as fun, much cheaper :), and with less work to do! Not only did I have fun, I learned a lot from this experience, from the four core values (responsibility, honesty, caring, and respect) to being a more confident and self-assured person. Camp not only made me a more open person, it helped me make new friends whose friendship I know will last forever and ever!!! Really, go to camp!

If there was one place i would have to spend the whole rest of my life, I would definitely choose Matollionequay. Everything about it is perfect: the counselors are awesome, the activities are fun, the facilities are sparkling clean, and I made sooooooooooo many friends there! I am completely OBSESSED about this camp! [Nostalgic sigh] And to those people out there who don't like this camp, boo to you! You obviously don't know what real fun is. And is you're afraid of a little old-fashioned dirt and mud, that's just pathetic. If you're looking for a place where you or your children can have fun, learn the true meaning of friendship, and become respectful, responsible, honest, and caring (the four core values) then go to Matollionequay! (And no, this is NOT an ad! It's true-all of it!)

Camp Matollionequay is a very worthy camp. I would entrust my daughter to no other camp. Matolly offers excellent activities, a great staff, and repays me a hundredfold what I give for the camp fees. If I had to choose one camp where I would have to live for the rest of my life, it would most definitely be Camp Matolly. If you or your children want to have a fun, worthwhile, and educational camp experience, go to Matollionequay. There is a boys' camp called Ockanickon, for the males who don't want to be left at home. Again, please send your children to Camp Matollionequay! (And no, I am NOT someone hired to promote this camp--I just LOVE it!)

I attended Matolly for 8 yrs growing up and then went to work at Lake Stockwell(the day camp). The summers spent there shaped me into the person I am today. I am now 20 yrs old and living on my own at college. I am proud to say that in my room I still have all my green and white feathers and as a work in progress am making a quilt with all my old camp/staff t shirts. As far as traditional overnight camp goes, Matollionequay is the best in Southern Jersey, maybe even the USA. As any old camper would agree... "in her green and white pajamas she will go"

i went there and this camp is so much fun!!! the only people i know that didn't enjoy the camp hated the outdoors... if you aren't afraid of getting a little dirty then this camp is perfect!!! There is always an alternative food (such as salad or pb&j or fruit) in case you don't like the food that they are serving...the co-eds are tons of fun!!! I'd give this camp a perfect rating!!! i keep in touch with kids that went to the camp with me... I even keep in touch with some kids that live in florida that went to Ockanickon!!!!

I went to Matolly throughout the 80's and early 90's. I met a boy at the adjoining camp ocky that i have now been happily married to for the last nine years!! the experiences at camp are like no other- i sing my two daughters camp songs all the time and cant wait to send them when they are big enough. as a camper and then a counselor, i learned how to be independent and strong. i made friends that have lasted over 20 years and i go back as often as i can. i would recommend this camp to anyone!!

Matollionequay is the most amazing place I can ever imagine. The experiences and opprotunities I have been given there are something that no one memory can even begin to describe. I find the campers and the counselors to be outstanding individuals who challenge us to make each day more fun than the one before. They are supportive and caring. It's the safest place I have ever been, and I can't wait to send my own daughter(s) there. Sending your child here is the best gift you could ever give them.

MATOLLY IS MY LIFE!!! Haha I love this camp so much. It's everything anyone could ever dream of in a camp: songs, arts and crafts, nature hikes, swimming, boating, archery, etc. Not to mention cabins and tents and the best counselors anyone could ask for!!! I definately recommend this camp to anyone who is considering going to a summer camp.

matollionequay is the best place in the whole wide world. i love it more than my home. i have meet some of my best friends there. and my counselers are seriously my heros! i have been going there for 5 years now and i can't wait to continue on to be a counseler there myself. matolly has taught me a lot about myself. it is the best place to be. i can't say one bad thing about matolly. it is my second home. i am constantly talking about camp and forever sinning the songs. when i have kids of my own i am diffently sending them to matolly/ocky. i couldn't imange a summer without matolly. and it kills me inside that when i get old i won't be able to go there. and it kills me that most of the people i meet there i will never see again. i meet the best people there. all the activities are so much fun. there is so much to do. i am never bored when i am there. there are so many great oppertunites that matolly has to offer. i would highly suggest sending your daughter here. no more room left. =[

This camp is possibly the best experience of a camp that I'll ever have. Here you feel like family no matter if you're new or a returning camper. The staff is international and also american. They are the funniest, most kindest leaders that you will ever meet. The food is exceptional for a camp, and you'll never want to leave. Activities are endless and co-eds are a blast with the brother camp. So highly recommended!

I went to Camp Matolly a LONG time ago, but I'm still singing the camp songs I learned there. I can't tell you how many times my 10 month old has heard "Canibal King" and "Tell Me Why." This is a GREAT camp. Lots of fun for all kinds of girls. There's opportunities to learn to swim, have fun with arts and crafts, and even get involved in the camps theater. Rangerettes hike and canoe, and the ranch campers learn to take care of the horses on the ranch. A wonderful experience. I'm already teaching my daughter a few songs to take with her. :)

Matolli rocks! I went there for 3 or 4 summers and I'm homesick for it. I can't get the songs out of my head, I made so many friends, and the counselors always remembered me and we kept in touch. I won an award in archery and the only thing I hated was being JP(cleaning up the juice things which people dumped their cereal in :() My camp friend won Green Feather last time, horse back rocked, and the co-eds were awesome. IT sucked that one summer though when we lost ourlake and had to swim in a pool. I got to witness our counselors pulling a deer out of the muddy drained lake though and then her and her babies ran off. It was soo sweet.
