My kids went there last summer and will never go back. The pool water was brown and they had to pee in porta potties on 95 degree days. My daughter said the whole place smelled like pee. They came home every day covered with dirt. There's no grass!!! The place is gross and I should have checked it out better before I signed them up! They're going to a better camp this year! DON'T GO THERE!

The staff is great here and i loved coming back to Mill Road each year but after the fourth week or so, it gets a bit repetetive. The activities are geared more towards younger kids and most of us CIT's just wander up and down the fields looking for air conditioning. It's alright and i love the friendly environment but sometimes it gets to be a drag. I would recomend this camp for children ages 5-10 and kids in to their teens should be put in the oldest group possible. The restroom facilities could use some freshening seeing as the toilets get closed due to flooding every day or two. Go MRDC! (ellipsis) I think?

this is my 12th year here and i am a junior counselor now.. counselors get underpaid here and should get more.. my CIT years were fun the first year but then the 2 left and got different ones and i didnt like them.. i had an amazing time as a camper but when you get older you get sick of the camp like my feelings.. but overall its an awesome camp and would reccommend it to anyone with a young child.. ps- i do miss go karts which they should definately bring back

i love this camp! i am about to start my ninth year here and be a CIT. The events and activities are subpar, though some are really fun, and the staff is really fun to hang out with. The best part is I get to hang out with my friends here that I never see outside of camp. If my friends stopped going, I'd probably stop going too.

I really didn't know how to rate MRDC. I went there for 8 years. When I was younger, I had an amazing time. I loved knowing that when school let out for the summer, I'd be spending the next 8 weeks at MR. But then as I got older, things really changed. The people changed, and the whole atmosphere changed. My counselors stopped caring, and they really had bad attitudes. I liked the independence I had as a CIT, but after my 2nd year at that, I realized it no longer was the camp I knew and loved. I haven't been back in a few years, so it may be completely different than that now. I heard they have new activities like horseback riding now. Might be fun.

It wasnt a bad camp to work for. I espicially liked working with SRB2 and beating everyone at soccer. I guess if I didnt get recruited for college teams and left early I would have enjoyed it more.

I went to Mill Road for six years, and I went back this year as an employee, its a great and rewarding experience to work there, but to be a camper there is just the fact that it must be improved, despite the fact that the camp is trying alot to improve (they are).

As a counselor as mrdc, I know from the inside that many of the staff members do not work the way they should, and are there only to socialize with other staff [of the opposite sex]. However, other staff members are hardworking and like the children. Staff members are underpaid if they do their job the way they should. The camp is expensive for what it gives, but Jerry is really nice. The quality of the facilities is not the best.
