BRING TWEEDALE BACK. IT WAS AN AMZING CAMP AND GIRLS TO COME WILL NEVER KNOW THE STORIES OR THE GAMES PLAYED THERE. THEY WONT GET TO SEE DRAGONS TEETH. WONT BE ABLE TO FIND THEM. CAMPING IS FUN. BRING. TWEEDALE. BACK.

My daughter liked her 2 years at Tweedale. Camp is very organized & well run. Most programs are 1 week & campers pick program before arrival. I do not say love because she would rather not go to any camp. However, she came home happy but since she does not love the outdoors this camp was not the exact right fit for her. This is because this is true Camping!Accommodations are primitive. Unless you get into The Hill, you will be staying in a lean-to or platform tents. They are well kept but if your daughter (like mine) is not a fan of the outdoors then this might be an issue. I did not want her to repeat the same program again (she takes only programs that know will most likely be at The Hill). We therefore have ventured to a different camp - cabins w/ elec and bathrooms inside.I just hope it's good as Tweedale when it comes to staff&organization. And nothing however will beat the price! Highly recommend if your daughter likes the true camping experience&all that comes w/ it.

It really is one of a kind and extremely special to me. I have been going there for 7 years and next year will be my 8th. The staff is so nice and they really connect with the girls. I feel at home there and I cannot imagine my life without it! Tweedale is so special to me and so many others!

I went as a camper and now my daughters go. They absolutely love it! Great staff, beautiful scenery, good food. A wonderful way for girls to gain confidence and responsibility!

Good counselors year after year. My girls have gone to two other camps and they both returned to Tweedale. Better camping programs here than at other camps and the food doesn't seem to be bad. Girls say the best part about Camp Tweedale is "the counselors". I have to agree they are personable, well trained, and the kids love them.

Tweedale is HOME! This was my fourth summer here and there is no other camp like it. Every year there are new activities and the trips are AWESOME! Next year I'm going to try to be a CIT. All kids love this camp. If they are little or old, it's like one big famliy an d everyone loves Tweedale. Tweedale I love you!

Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania has several overnight camps. This one is the best. My daughter has gone to 3 of them and Tweedale is the best as far as the staff and all the things the kids do there. I'm kind of surprised at one comment here. The director definitely has her act together and the kids definitely take swimming lessons. My daughter went to Tweedale twice this summer and both times she brought home her swimming record from lessons. This is a solid camp for the money. my daughter and her friends have a countdown going until camp starts next yaer. They really love it there!

My daughter just came back from this camp and she loved it! This was her fourth year attending and she is begging to go back. Of all the camps my children have attended this one always has good staff and the activies are fun and work for the age group. My daughter is headed back there next week. :-)

Staff is not trained properly and leave campers unattended. Most of the staff are internationals who are there to have fun and not for the campers. No swim lessons were given even though the program promised it. My daughter has been to this camp 3 times but it has become successively worse over the years. She will definately not be attending next year. The director also seemed overwhelmed and although she made herself available to talk she seemed to be just placating me and not actually listening.

I love Tweedale!! This year will be my 3rd year, and I love it so much. The kayaks are really fun and you get good exercise. Plus, the food is really good too!I can't wait to go back again this year!!!

I love this camp! The Counclers are so friendley,they act like they are your best friend.the toliets get colged mp a lot, and the latrines are VERY outdated.You can do archery,acting swimming,rock climbing,canouing,kiacking,pottery,and somuch more!If you start crying,they would get right to the source. I REALLY recmoned this camp to anyone.

THis is going to be my third year at Tweedale and I'm going to three weeks this summer cuz I love it there! Two of my friends are coming too and their going to love my summer home. TWEEDALE IS THE BEST CAMP IN THE WORLD

Of the five camps I've gone to, this one has the best staff and programs. Some of the facilities could be updated a little but the staff makes up for what the camp lacks. I'd recommend this camp for any girls who wants to be outside and who wants to enjoy excellent counselors.

This camp has a terrific staff that is well trained. The facilities are fairly modern--not as rustic as many girl scout camps. It gets very hot and humid in the summer so the kids seem to spend a lot of time doing water activities. The staff is professional and knows their stuff. I like how the campers seem to get to do a lot of stuff and plan lots. Campers are kept in small groups and have a staff member assigned to look after each kid, so they get lots of personal attention and really get to know each other. It can be intimidating for a new older camper because a lot of the older girls seem to know each other well from previous years or earlier that summer, but the counselors do what they can to break up cliques and integrate new girls. I would recommend to go earlier in the summer when there arent lots of girls who know each other already and when it is cooler. The programs are pretty sweet the whole summer though, lots of choices.

Tweedale is Home... Staff is great... Facilities um well I think that the brochure should warn people that there are latrines... Activities are awesome. I love planning some..... Personal Attention is something that you DO get..... Monetary Value is fair. Camp Tweedale... THE BEST GS CAMP EVER!!! (in my opinion..) :)

I have gone to Tweedale for two years. I love the food and going swimming, canoeing, hiking, and doing water activities. There is nothing I don't like about this camp, and I have gone to two other resident camps.

This camp is definatly best for kids who can hangle a "rustic" settomg. The bathrooms are latrines and the cabins are pretty outdoorsy (with the exception of the "hill" which usually houses the youngest kids). I went here as a young kid and LOVED it (in fact I still keep in touch with some of my counselors, def the best part) but I wanted to break away from the all girls thing when I got older. Also, the activities are very limited. You have to do everything as a cabin and can't pick your activities. I went here for 5 years and loved it, but I would consider myself a seasoned camper with 10 years experience (and still running) and there are some much nicer camps with more activites and better facilities (and boys).

Wow. I cant even describe the incredible experiences i've had at Camp Tweedale. I've enjoyed it so much through the years, as a camper, and a CIT. The programming is great, as well as the staff. I personally had a really great time with the international staff. I think I'll continue to come to this camp for years to come. -XeroX

I love Camp Tweedale SOO much. This was my fourth year at Tweedale but I went to Tohi before that. It is like home when I go. I know that when I am there I can be safe. I know that no one can hurt me. People will be there for me. That I will have friends that I can trust. I have my best friends from Camp Tweedale, and I can't imagine a year without Tweedale.

I love this camp its my home. I didnt like the new rules and all but i got used to it after about a year. i dont see how you wouldnt like it but thats ok if you dont. i love everyone there and think of them all as family. i look forward to June every year because that means camp starts!

Tweedale does not have riding any more, but it has lots of other new activities (like rock climbing) that will be offered next summer. A great camp!

I've gone to this camp for five years and I love, love, love it! Although I will admit that it hit it's peak two years ago and has since gone downhill. There's so many options: 2-3 nights for 6-8 year olds, one week for 6-13 year olds, and one to three weeks for 13-17 year olds. Once you are 16 you can be a CIT. There are a few modern cabins, but mostly you stay in a-frame tents. Most of the time you do have to use latrines. Just a few of the possible activities at camp are swimming, horse-back riding, boating on the reservoir, cook-outs, bike-riding, hiking on the camp trails, creek-walking, nature, and so much more. The camp is nothing like one of those fancy-schmancy camps that you will find anywhere else. It's rustic and you are definitely camping. It doesn't cost much and it is a Girl Scout Camp, so it's nonprofit. It's the opportunity of a lifetime! It's a lot of fun and I can't wait to go back next year!!! I love you Camp Tweedale!! <3 jess
