My brother and I attended Windmill over 20 years ago and loved it. Many of the teachers were part of my best childhood memories. I now have a daughter of my own and she has been a Windmill camper and year round student since one year old. She loves them! They are all around phenomenal and went above and beyond to accommodate her during speech therapy and helped with potty training and enforcing our home rules of sharing and manners. I highly recommend them!

I LOVE WINDMILL! I have been at Windmill for a few years now and I absolutely love it! The owners are great and Lisa and Rhea really do a great job making everyone feel included. Some of the staff seem to care less about the camp, but those kinds of people everywhere. 99% of the staff love what they do and it shows in how well this camp is run. From Lisa's high energy attitude at all times to Mr. Tortilla's funny jokes, this camp is amazing! It is an "old school" camp which means they don't have the best technology or fanciest facilities, but they still make it the greatest camp I've ever been to! I highly recommend this camp for any child who isn't afraid to come home at the end of each day dirty!

I'm currently a JC (junior conselor) and I have been going to Windmill for either 8 or 9 years now and have a blast each summer. Everyone tries to make you feel included whether it's your first summer or your tenth, you are almost instantly put into the Windmill family. Some complain that being a CIT (conselor in training) is 'like being a slave' because you don't get paid and your parents pay for you to be there and 'rack gravel', however a CIT is considered no longer a camper, you are given more responsibilities and expect to carry out each and every one. Every camper and staff is expected to care for the camp grounds as they an important piece of the fun atmosphere, so if you are 'racking gravel' it is most likely because you have done something seriously wrong-just like everywhere else there is a outcome for every decision you make, some good, some bad. However, all in all everyone is treated fairly and kindly in the Windmill community and family. I love Windmill completely. :)

At Windmill, you're either part of the staff's clique or you're not, and if you're not, your child will NOT be treated well. If you express concern for your child's treatment, you can count on having your child singled out for subtle ostracism. Great facilities, lousy staff. Camp was passed from the parents to the children and this new generation should NOT be running a camp.

we've been going for 7 years and wouldn't go anywhere else. Windmill is like family. I love being in the play and karate, hip hop and riding horses. It's the best!

Horrible camp. I was a CIT there and all we did was work for no pay like we were slaves or something. One day we had to rake the gravel, which is plain ridiculous.

The staff of Windmill Day Camp are the key to the program - they continue to go beyond "the call of duty" each & every day of camp!
