This camp has a lot of great activities and reasonable facilities. If your child is typical they will most likely enjoy it. However, despite the owner's assurances that they are inclusive for atypical children, our experience did not reflect this in the least. So, parents of differently wired/atypical children, this may not be a good place for your child.

Oak Crest is a really amazing place and I think that if you want to send your kid there, it would be a good idea. It's my 6th year and as a teen traveler, it's so much fun. The counselors always look after you, shower you with attention, and make sure that you're having a blast. Their food, staff, and activities are so creative and fun! They have sports, team building activities, dance, sports, and arts. I give the camp a 10/10.

So my child going into 7th grade and she said this was the best camp she went to. The kids there are so nice and accept people for who they are. When you go to Oak Crest, you are never left out. The Staff for my childs group was nice but they were a little pushy. The Faculties at the camp and the trips were amazing. 7th grade has 2 overnight trips and they took coach buses to one of the trips! My child loved the experience. The activites and trips were amazing and everyday she came home with a smile on her face. They gave an even amount of attention to every camper. I think it is a little over priced but its worth it. I definitely recommend going here next summer.

DO NOT DO THE LEADER IN TRAINING PROGRAM! The week long trip is not worth the 3,000.00 it cost. The LIT coordinator plays favorites and does not give each LIT the promised 2 weeks with each group as contracted which results in lower tips. She does not give the mid season review to all LIT as promised. She does not get input from group supervisors who have given positive feedback all summer long. After going to the camp 10 years, paying 3,000 for LIT and only getting paid 250.00 for the summer if she does not give you a positive final review you are not asked back to the camp. The summer camp itself is a great camp which is what made the LIT program very disappointing. And don't try complaining to the director. He does not want to hear your opinion or complaints and has an I have a perfect program attitude.

Thsi is an awesome Day Camp and my son just finished his second year. Jonathan Gold was born to run a camp! He puts so much money back into the facility every year and it shows. The counselors are top notch and fully engaged with the children. The activities are fun, the swimmming program is fantastic and my son comes home every night happy and exhausted from his day. It is a bit pricey, but you get what you pay for. If it only had a lake for boating, etc., it would be pure purfection. We are thrilled to be part of the Oak Crest family!

THE KIDS LIKED THE SWIMMING.AFTER A FEW YEARS THE KIDS ARE BORED, THE FOOD WAS THE SAME CHEAP STUFF. THE CAMP IS NOT WORTH IT, THE OWNER JONATHAN IS FULL OF HIMSELF.

We've sent our kids for 5 years and numerous of our neighbors have done the same. Oak Crest is one of the highlights of their childhood, a special, home away from home type camp. Cheerful, meticulously clean facilities, something new every year. Bottom line the kids are physically and emotionally safe and encouraged -great confidence builder. The children have a wholesome, kid centered time -what summers are supposed to be -it is so nice to see kids being kids --you see lots of smiles when you visit. At orientation and other times when parents get together, I hear the same sentiments from every parent --Oak Crest is one of the best decisions we've all made. Ok it is not cheap but it is a great value -- unbelievable range of experiences for the boys and girls, different things for different ages too. I would consider Oak Crest a superior place, carefully managed and delivers what it promises. The kids talk about "next year" all the time. They LOVE it, so we love it!!

My daughter has attended Oak Crest for 6 years (going on 7) and wouldn't consider any other camp! They keep the kids active in a safe environment, and she has opportunities for outdoor fun all summer long. The creative ideas for special events are phenomenal! Who could resist playing Quidditch?

Excellent camp and staff for my son. This is my second child going there and it has been very beneficial for both. I like the activities, food served and counselors which are chosen carefully every year. Jonathan is great. Good sense of humor and really cares about the kids and his business.

My son has been going to this camp since before he was totally potty trained, which they get credit for helping with. He loves the counselors, instructors, directors and other campers, as do I. He has made great fiends with not only other campers but with his counselors and they keep in touch even after the summer is over. Yes it is a little pricey but there is no $ limit to my son's safety and happiness. They say you get what you pay for and in this case you do, it's worth every penny!

My daughter has attended Oak Crest and I have been working there since 2005.Not only am I a mother of a camper,I am also a counselor and bus driver. When I end my school year as a teacher,I look forward to my summer at Oak Crest.I see all the inner workings of the camp that parents don't see. There are many reasons why I feel that this camp is the safest camp that offers the best program that allows a child to flourish.Safety is #1. Even before camp starts the staff has extensive training sessions. There are several division heads that over look the daily activities of the groups and makes sure the staff is providing the campers with the fun and support that they need. The swim program is incredible and my daughter became a strong swimmer.I wish I had more room to write. The bottom line is that I see A LOT of behind scene situations and through it all safety and success opportunities are key.If they were not I would not work there and most importantly I would not send my child there.

My kids have been going to Oak Crest for many years and love it there. I'm basically happy with it but do have frustrations. I don't necessarily feel like I get my money's worth. The art crafts they do are cheap and they don't seem to "learn" any skills or make anything useful. Really, how many pinch pots does one need? Most of the stuff is like kits from Oriental Trading and get thrown away. My husband and I made things like belt buckles, cloisonne type necklaces and ceramic pieces that got fired in the kiln. They do things that just seem keep them occupied for 45 minutes. I was really disappointed with the tennis activity. The instructor just hit balls to them without giving them any basic instruction on how to hold the racket or hit the ball. It was useless. The instructor said he only gives instruction for Choice. Why? The kids improve in their swimming but not as much as I think they should in 8 weeks. They should have fun and learn skills. Why no horseback riding?

My sons have been going to Oak Crest for 5 years. They come home everyday happy and tired. They talk about camp all year long. Their friends wish they could go too. They are great swimmers thanks to the patient and kind lifeguards. My youngest son was 3 when he started camp. He loved being with his boy group. They had a fun summer. He wouldn't go in a pool before Oak Crest. He waited three weeks before deciding to try the camp pool. WELL THAT MADE CAMP OVER THE MOON FOR HIM . He was really swimming 5 weeks later. Pretty good for a boy who wouldn't go into a pool. My 10 year loves the archery and GaGa. He loves to try new sports at camp, at camp he can play flagfootball and he loves it. My town only had full contact football. The conselors have been great. They love kids. They let my boys have fun but not so much that they get hurt. The boys can not wait to go back next summer. I can not put a price on a great and safe summer. It's so worth it! I can't put a price on happy kids.

My sons (13 & 8) have been going to Oak Crest since they were 5. They absolutely love it!! There is such a variety of sports and activities to participate in, many that my boys do not get during the school year. Yes, its expensive (especially with 2), but they have a great time, I know they are outside and active, well taken care of, and so to my husband and I, it is well worth it. The boys have made alot of friends, increased their self-esteem, and learned some valuable lessons. Granted, you can not make everyone(parent) happy and everyday can not be "picture perfect", but I feel Jonathan and Amy are doing a great job of making summer camp a blast!

My oldest daughter (aged 9) will be entering her sixth summer at Oak Crest and my younger daughter (aged 5) will be entering her second summer. Both LOVE Oak Crest and are already counting the days until summer. The activities are great fun - especially the zip line. The swimming program is excellent. Both my daughters learned to swim and my little one was even going off the diving board at our swim club before the summer was over. The full lunch each day is great - my girls look forward to "grilled cheese day" each week. We can't wait for camp to start.

This camp is truly a magical place. Appeals to a wide age range. Sent my 4 yr old baby and my 8 year old big girl. I will make it my business to make sure I can give the gift of this camp to my children for many summers to come. Staff is amazing, owner is fantastic. Includes food and is sensitive to individual needs.

Oak Crest Day Camp has been a truly unique, remarkable, and positive life changing experience for my two sons(ages 5 and 8 yrs). Both of my sons started Oak Crest at age 4 yrs and absolutely Love their days at Oak Crest! The staff is made up of individuals that have a true affinity and respect for children.Encouraging campers to try new things, challenge themselves while having fun and making friends. The camp itself is beautiful always undergoing improvements and additions to create a dynamic, fun-filled environment! Oak Crest is worth every penny! My children have grown and learned so much from their camp experiences! We cannot wait for the summer!

My two campers have been coming to Oak Crest for the past 6 years and I have to say, Camp keeps getting better and better for them. They both have had AMAZING counselors that they adore. The staff are all warm and friendly. Each summer they walk away with a wonderful summer camp experience. All they talk about is Oak Crest. Thanks Oak Crest! We are counting the days till next summer in out house. :-)

Both my children have gone to Oak Crest for years and the experience is nothing short of incredible! My daughter looks forward to camp and particularly the dance and drama show all year, my son is a color war maniac! THe best things about Oak Crest from a parent perspective is the attention to detail and the quick response from the staff. Counselors are great, well run camp most highly recommend!

THE SKATEPARK IS AWESOME!!! My sons love skateboarding, or atleast trying to skateboard. They try to build ramps in the driveway, etc, and it drives me crazy. Now that they are skateboarding at camp, I feel so much better. It is a very safe environment and they cover of Very Detail!! The staff is responsible and caring. My boys are learning new skills, not only skateboarding (swimming, social skills, lacrosse, etc). It is pricey, but it is an amazing experience and my boys love it so much; we always find a way to make it work for them. And the Door-to-Door Transportation is a big plus. They pick my sons up at our home in Bridgewater and drop them off at my office in Somerset!! It is perfect for my schedule. Hot Lunch is included so I pack them bathing suits and towels, and put them on the bus. It is Great!! We love Oak Crest.

I loved oak crest and I didn't want to leave but i had to because the camp is completely pricey and a bit over it's head. over all I was younge and the counsolers where BAD because they where so younge. I was little and learned some things i should not have. I know that they are still their and I liked them because i felt like a big kid and I always was like a pet. I was the cute funny kid. Oak Crest treated me nicely. just a little much for a munchkin and so on.

A horrible place to go. I went there when i was younger and it was terrible. All of the counselors were uninterested in listening to anything. The instructors in certain areas were horrible and shouldnt have been with children. My favorite part of the day was going home.

This ended up being the best thing ever for my son. He broke out of his shell. I was upset when my wife told me the cost (what I make per day equaled the cost per day) BUT in the end my son is far better off. Great experience.
