The cost is out of control. The camp very segregated, my children noticed this in the first week. The staff there are not trained in the slightest bit to handle children. The facilities are lackluster at best. There is no other way to phrase it other than the fact that the upper management has a certain level of phoniness about them. Do not be fooled by visiting day, what you see is not what you get. My children often came home crying.

i do not particularly care for this camp at all. In my opinion, this camp is more for younger kids, ages 3-5.

My boys have been going to this camp for 4 years and love it. Jeff and Bobby are outstanding directors who really understand children. This camp is about the people, not about the facilities. If you're looking for a warm, well-rounded camp with a kind, caring staff, go to Elmwood.

Elmwood is a wonderful., warm camp. I don't know what they are putting in the water over there bute kids and parents in westchester dint just like it or sy it is ok, they rave about it. Do the research, for me, this is my daughters second year and I feel like they are providing a camp she loves going to. Bobbi and Jeff, the directors take great pride in this camp and get to know each camper personally and make their summer amazing and special, the counselors are bubbly and effusive- they hug, braid hair, have a great attitude; etc... Love the camp and return a lot themselves... Yes, it's not a big camp like Mohawk yet costs as much but it's seriously personalized. My daughter wants to be a counselor here!!

My daughter has been at Elmwood for four years. The directors are warm and friendly. Elmwood isn't fancy like some of the other Westchester County camp, its small, more traditional and rustic. Friendship is a huge value at Elmwood.

My best friend and I went to this camp when we were younger. It truly is an amazing camp. Most of the staff (counselors) were great. We had this great counseler, she was sooo nice to us! The activities are great. I'm not sure if they have it anymore... but clubs were sooo much fun! You got to pick your activity each week for clubs. I remember there was theater, friendship bracelet making, and many more. Cooking may have been a club, i don't remember. In cooking, we made amazing food! I think we made pizza one time. Also they have a carnival. That was fun. Everything at Elmwood was a blast, from the meeting in the morning when Greg sang his crazy songs, to each activity, even the ones i didn't like as much. Elmwod made them fun. Even though i left Elmwood after third grade summer for sleepaway camp, i still remember Elmwood like i went there yesterday. One of my favorite things about Elwood was doing the camp show. I loved doing it and it was so much fun to perform on the stage. Elmwood

It's a little pricey for a day-camp, but the activities and facilities are great. My only problem was that some of the kids were a bit rude and annoying, but I liked it nonetheless. I recommend going here when you're younger than ten.

This is a great camp for very young kids. If you are 5 or older it may not be for you. It's a great school, but the camp is a little wimpy but the counselors are really nice, although over-protective.

My twins are there for their second summer. It is a wonderful place, and the staff is absolutely amazing. It is the happiest, most special place you could ask for.

My son loved this camp but after 2 years he outgrew it. The management is very attentive and hands on - deal with any problems that arrise immediately. That is what you are paying for - not the facilities. Very small and limited. If you are looking for a small, cozy special camp this is it.

There isn't enough words to describe how amayzing Elmwood is! it's UNBELIEVEABLE. I went there for ALL of my years durring the summer, it's UNBELIEVEABLE!!! I met soo many new friends, and we still keep in touch- the last time we met face to face was 3 years ago. The best trip is the arcades but ofcourse the PA trip in 5th is really cool!

This is a great camp if your child needs personal attention- problem is once they get used to it they tend to grow out of it. The activities are all small scale, so after a year or two kids get bored. The indoor space is a plus in bad weather and the staff is very attentive. Pretty expensive in comparison to Kiwi and Mohawk given the facilities.

This camp had great activities, but it was kind of expensive. I loved the trips and counslers. Most of the kids were nice, but some of them were a bit snobby. I also loved the songs and special activities.
