I did the day camp once. It was OK but not my favorite.

Take it from "Boris", this camp is awesome! I had the privilege of working at Camp Whitcomb for 5 summers and 2 years full-time. You can not find a more dedicated, hard-working staff anywhere. They are devoted to providing a fun-filled, meaningful experience to the children that they serve, most of whom come from the inner city of Milwaukee. The activities provided are amazing - a fully staffed waterfront with canoes, sailing, fishing and even water-skiing; a top-notch ropes and challenge course designed to initiate and develop team-building skills, off-site adventure camp experiences such as rock climbing. These are just a fraction of what this camp has to offer. The real value of this camp lies in the number of return campers year after year. Many campers go on to become camp counselors when they are older - a true testiment to how much children love their experience at Camp Whitcomb. A big "NOON WAY" to Camp Whitcomb! (Inside joke :))

Camp Whitcomb/Mason is a wonderful place for the staff, campers, and anyone who enters the gates. Everyone is accepted no matter race, gender, political ideas, sexual preferance, and size. Everyone is there to have a fun time with programs and interesting games! Most of the kids are from the inner citie of milwaukee and live in rough neighborhoods where there are gangs and violence, but they love to put their economic background behind for the week and have fun with the counselors. Might i add that the counselors are just as fun and goofy as anyone youll ever meet and are there to have a good time no matter what the weather looks like...even during storms! The day camp side of Camp Whitcomb/Mason is the exact same way, they enjoy having fun and hanging out with the kids that come through those gates doing activities that interest everyone. The ages are anyone from 6-15, not including the [LIT leaders in training] program which is for 15-18 year olds to develop their leadership skills!
