I've now been apart of the Can-Aqua community for 3 years and have been really impressed with the awesome, personable staff & constant improvements to the site. Look forward to returning this summer!

This camp not only has a breathtaking location but also a wonderful welcoming community. I have been attending for 11 years and wouldn't want to spend my entire summer anywhere else. You make lifelong friends, memories and skills that shape you into a strong independent person ready for the world ahead!

Can Aqua is one of the best summer camps in Ontario. There is no experience like it. Staff are completely camper centered, and the activities are fun and engaging for every child. There is something for everyone at Can Aqua.

I think this is a pretty great camp. It's what you think of when you decide to send your kids to a camp. Staff are great, camp size is perfect. We started as Family Campers and our kids returned for the summer programs. My kids loved it. They seemed to make friends and really enjoyed the awards they earned. One thing to keep in mind is that you pack biodegradable shampoo. They don't allow regular shampoo, which I didn't pay attention to.

Great atmosphere to get away from the city and embrace nature in all its form. Beautiful site with a private lake and accommodating, supporting, and experienced staff! Numerous activities (from canoeing to water skiing) but also including a variety of unique activities (glass etching, woodwork). A wonderful place to challenge yourself (and your kids!) and gain social, physical and leadership skills.

I have been going to Can-Aqua for about 5 years now. I have enjoyed this camp but some things really get on my nerves. Wake up time is quite early (7:30) especially if you're in your teen years and need more sleep. The food is good but you never know what you're going to get because the cooks change each year. All of the facilities are very well looked after but my only complain are the cybos (the bathrooms) they're outside and when you go in they're filled with spiders and always smell really bad. The staff are nice but sometimes I find that they can just seem more of a pain than a guiding friend to look up to. This camp has many activities but instead of going to the activity you really want to go to you may not be able to because it's already overcrowded, plus I have and issue with the swimming. They force you to take swimming lessons and some of that stuff is really hard and difficult. I find swimming there a bothersome chore rather than a fun activity. I would kinda recommend it.

Without a doubt the most amazing, character building places I have ever been. I LOVE can-aqua and truly owe so much of who I am to it.

I went to camp can aqua for the first time this summer. The cabins are in the woods and you have to walk up and down a hill to get to main camp. there are no real bathrooms just out houses and the sinks are hoses. The cabins are old and have no electricity and at every meal everyone sings annoying songs really loudly. Everyone at this camp is a f*cking goody good good and gets really mad at you if you swear. If you don't act like a goody good good sometimes people will make up fake rumors about you. Some b*tch called my mom and told her that i tried to sneak into the guys section cause i was horny. this was all because i got lost went the wrong way on my first day of camp. in general the people at this camp are f*cking weird and suck. This camp makes you take swimming lessons even if you don't want to. there is too much spare time in this camp. the only thing that is good about this camp is that some of the activities are fun. don't come to this camp without a friend from home

Can-Aqua is my favorite place in the world. It's my home. No matter what your problems are or how hard your year has been, you get to Can-Aqua and none of that matters. It's a place where your just happy and a place where you can be who you are and no one will judge you. Everyone at camp is great and I miss it so much whenever I'm away.Plus, the activities are really fun. But Can-Aqua isn't just for the activities, it's for the people. I couldn't imagine better friends than the friends that I made at camp.

I was a camper and Staff at Camp Can-Aqua for a total of 10 years. The entire camp is set up to help motivate and empower all children to be all they can be and to believe in themselves. Not only in what they do during the summer but in their everyday lives in the rest of the year. This camp changes lives and makes every summer the new best summer of your life! You should try Camp Can-Aqua, you'll be hooked!

Having cycled through three prior overnight camps, I can safely say that I had not a doubt in my mind when I chose to stay and Can-Aqua and now, into my twenties, many of the people I met there remain my closest friends. The staff are truly what makes Can-Aqua great and are one of the major drives that keeps campers coming back year after year. While the camp may not be able to compete with the wide activity ranges of larger or more expensive camps, it more than makes up for it through facilitating great interaction between campers and between campers and staff, owing largely to the high staff to camper ratio. Yet it still provides a wide array of activities to take part in (among them water skiing and canoe tripping) and a complex award system that motivates the campers to take part. Facilities may seem a little on the rustic side, but do exactly what they were intended to do, in providing an environment that facilitates a camper experiencing exactly what summer camp should be.

I am so grateful for having gone to this camp for 11 years now. Going there every summer made me become more independent and more confident. I wouldn't be the person I am today without having gone to can aqua. It is my home away from home. One of my favourite moments is arrival day where you feel sooo welcomed and everyone is sooo excited for the session to start. I've made friends that i know will always be there for me. Even though we haven't spoke for a year! I can't wait to go back and contribute to the continuation of this camp!!

Staff are FANTASTIC, each member cares genuinely about the camp and the campers. They promote a strong sense of community and friendship and ensure that each camper is getting the attention he/she needs. The facilities are exactly as advertised; 'rustic.' Some campers may be uncomfortable with the kybos at first, but as the kids adjust to the camp routine, it becomes nothing more than part of camp! The activities are constantly changing as the PAC (Program Activity Counsellor) takes suggestions to spice up the routine! (have you ever played unicorn hacky sack, or pulled maple taffy?) Of course, Can-Aqua offers all the staples, canoeing, swimming, arts & crafts, woodworking, frolf... I'll runn out of room! As for the monetary value, what price can you stick to a lifetime of great memories and friends.

I used to be a camper at this camp and it was amazing. Definitely some of the best memories of my childhood summers. It's small, so it feels like one big family. There are only about 6-8 campers per cabin, with at least 2 counselors in every cabin. I loved that I always felt taken care of, because the counselors made an amazing effort to get to know each camper individually. All the staff at this camp were previous campers, so that really makes them understand how important it is to be caring and attentive to all the kids. The activities are amazing and you need no experience in any activity to have a great time. If this camp is still running when I'm an adult, I would definitely want to send my own kids there. Here's to Can-Aqua! And may Louis rest in peace.

The people that I met at Camp Can-Aqua remain the best in my life. The staff played phenomenal role models, and the kids that I grew up with there really have become my closest group of friends. The creativity, compassion and humour that I saw every day at Can-Aqua make me doubt that I'll ever find a better way to spend the summer. Camp really gave me the kind of confidence and memories that carried me through this business of growing up. A phenomenal experience over the years.

It's hard to describe a camp that has influenced so many people in such positive ways. People from around the world come to this camp for the environment, the social learnings and the bottom line, fun. This camp has helped develop people's social skills. I encourage you to check out the web site and look at the philosiphy. This is truely an outdoors camp, with little electricity (none in the cabins), no tv (except for one night called movie night). If anything this distance away from technology brings people together. If you walk one step on camp property the only things you will notice are smiles, laughing, and children and counsellors having fun. I encourage you to send your children to Camp Can-Aqua.

OMG! I LOVE CAMP CAN AQUA SOOOSOSOS MUCH. in what other camp would you find such an amazing variety of activities, from sailing, to glass etching, to arts and crafts to archery to snorkeling, to woodshop to wake and knee boarding..i think you get the point. the counsellors..are hilarious, and really helpful. on the first day they really know how to get campers to mingle and not be shy whatsoever. they dont let us break the rules but theyre not really strict, and talk to us. in the cabins youre encouraged to do grafiti, we constantly sing in the dining hall, AMAZING SONGS! on wednesdays theres picnic lunch and barbeque dinner, evening games every night, delicious food and desserts, need i go on? best camp by far. its ages 7-15, and absolutely rocks! the camp directors are hilarious and so fun. they also make maple syrup there in the spring. swimming lessons are everyday in the PRIVATE LAKE! yes thats right. lol. so many amazing people that you meet and keep friends with. 2 week minimum.
