I was a camper there for many years. When I first joined, I noticed a lot of things wrong. The rules are overbearing, most of the staff are strict and the portions are very limited. Lynsey and Laura are dictators. They only care about behavioral issues instead of campers being kids. The director Ari is extremely biased. He needs to do a better job with running the place. To me, the place is like being on Sesame Street on steroids. I've had a lot of ups and downs at the camp. Sure, I've made a bunch of friends. But I knew when enough was enough. Take my advice by not sending your kids here. I really hope that the camp made some adjustments.

This camp has been wonderful for my son! Whoever said the kids are overmedicated is lying. The camp only gives the prepackaged doses which the pharmacy sends per the kids' doctors' instructions.

Being a nurse aide for a summer at Camp Lee Mar was one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. The campers and staff are incredible and truly made me feel at home. I had no idea how much of an impact the camp would make on my life and feel so lucky that I had the opportunity to spend a summer at this special place. It is incredible to watch the campers grow so much while having so much fun. I learned and grew so much myself and it has greatly benefited me in graduate school. Thanks for everything Camp Lee Mar!

I worked at Lee Mar as a nurse aide in the health center for two summers and if life would allow it, I would go back every summer. I truly cannot say enough great things about this incredibly special and unique place. The campers will make an impact on your heart and life forever, the other staff members from all over the world will become lifelong friends, and the directors will support you long after you leave camp. All of the campers absolutely love camp and it is wonderful to watch the progress that they make throughout the summer and the friendships they form that last for countless summers. Each camper is truly cared for and we strive to meet each of their unique needs. Lee Mar is a place of diversity and inclusion, and out of that comes a lot of incredible moments and memories. Lee Mar will always have a special place in my heart as it does for so many others.

So excited for our daughter to be going back soon for her 4th summer. Hard to put in words how much our entire family has benefitted from her attendance for the past 3 years! The administrators are top-notch professionals, and the staff that take care of our daughter are amazing! Good communication throughout the summer, and the activities for the campers are great. The academics and speech therapy go far beyond a typical ESY program, and the end-of-camp report is very helpful and informs the IEP process for the new school year. We are very happy campers!

When another parent of a special needs child asks me about the best thing I have ever done for my kid, my sole answer is Camp Lee Mar. CLM has done wonders for my son and I have seen a tremendous amount of growth over the past five years. The care is outstanding and the staff truly care about the campers. I promise you that if you choose Lee Mar for your child, it will be the best decision you will ever make for your child and family.

I son was neglected. When I picked him up, he was so sick. His eye were crossed due to severe allergies and they didnot give him his medication. Lynsey Trohoskeis one of worst peaople I have met in my life. She was forcused his behavioral. Off course if he is not feeling well his behaviors are going to be worse. Not worth the money. I regret sending my son there. He was so negelected. Young care givers cried when I picked him up. Ari you can do better.

Everything about this camp is horrible. I worked here for a summer and honestly could not believe the lies they feed to the parents and the campers. The facilities are absolutely horrible, there are no fire alarms, some days there was no water running and the woman in charge is one of the worst people I have ever encountered in my life. I hope this camp is shut down and if I were you I would not send your child here.

I would grade everything 0 . My son who 2526 25 now visited this camp. I still have regrets about sending him to this camp. He told us that his councilor pounced his nose . I could not believe him . It is my biggest regret. Why l did not sue them , so others would not get abused

I worked as staff here a while ago. The campers were overmedicated! It was awful to see that. Anyone with discipline problems was treated badly and sent to the directors office. Food was unhealthy. The grounds were okay. The lake was nice but not often used. I feel bad for the poor campers who think that they deserve to be treated badly. Most campers have severe disabilities and parents are relieved to have a reprieve for the summer time. To the parents the staff is very nice/fake. While this is 20 years ago I hope things have changed for the better....
