My children have attended Katonim for several years. The central goal of this camp is to give the children positive social experiences that will benefit them into the future. The camp does an excellent job of this. They are inclusive and work hard to ensure the kids have an excellent time. Although the facilities are not brand new, they do a good job of upkeep. The waterfront has a ton of great activities including a robust ski and sail program. Equipment appears to be kept up very well. There is a bus program from Toronto that works well for many families (and is apparently free for first time camp goers to boot!!!). I would highly recommend this camp to anyone considering sending their kids to a day camp.

I went to Katonim and worked at Katonim a few years. It's a great camp close to the city. The have a full waterfront. The only down side is the camp is very run down. The buildings, equipment, and docks are super run down and falling apart. It looks like no one has made an effort to fix the place up our maintain it for years. I don't think I'd send my kids there until some serious effort was made to fix the place up. It really is too bad.

This camp is the best camp ever. Amazing staff members and not too far from Toronto! No other day camp has canoe, kayaking, sailing, and even skiing! There is never a dull moment at camp katonim and I would recommend it to anyone and everyone!

My daughter (9) attended this camp last summer. To say that she LOVED everything about it would not adequately describe how she felt. This is a traditional-style summer camp on Lake Simcoe that is easy commuting to the GTA. As a parent to 5, we've attended many summer camps and this one exceeded expectations. Sure, the facilities are neither new nor fancy, but the staff are amazing and the experience was second to none. AND, she learned to water ski! Many happy memories and a desire to return next year - I'd say it was a big hit. We're very glad we found this camp so close to home and look forward to going again summer.

I grew up at this camp. For a day camp the facilities are second to none. How many other day camps cano you go sailing, canoeing, water skiing at?
