For 6 years now, my daughter has been going to Camp Tanuga. She has built lifelong bonds and has had the time of her life. From the first day, as soon as she steps on the bus, she sees her best friends in the world. Every letter send home explained the fun they had that day. It can be anything from mess hall cheers, Fourth of July, going wakeboarding, skiing, sailing with her friends, having campfires and mock rock. When she gets home every year she starts counting down the days immediately until the next year. Along with the friends in her cabin, the bonds made with older and younger cabins also have formed everlasting friendships. Each day at camp is special and different than the rest. Having the chance to fly on the trapeze, swim across the lake, rock climb, and so much more gives her happiness and the experience of a lifetime. The counselors, Sid and Cody, and even the camp dogs contribute to making camp special for her. It has been the best decision I ever Made sending her to Ta

I was a counselor, and it changed my life in a bad way. Head counselors made multiple counselors cry, including myself. All the stuff there is either falling apart or is vandalized. They literally pay you pennies an hour (Idk if I can legally say exactly how much I was paid, but I did the math, it was actually pennies an hour). That camp is one of the main reasons I don't plan on having my own kids. Please, I'm begging you, don't work here. Don't send your kids here. All the other 1 star reviews on this site are correct, this place sucks.

camp is my happy place!!!! best place in the world as a camper i can say i couldn’t live without it and it is my favorite part of the year!!!! the tanuga majic is amazing and everyone is so close!! i can’t even start to describe how much i love this place!!!

Do not send your child here. It is the worst summer camp ever. It is so dirty and not kept up. Meal times are a shouting competition. The campers and counselors are so unwelcoming. The camp is no good and really should be shut down.

My son just came home from a school trip of 2 days and had a terrible time. he came home with over 50 mosquito bites all over his body. he mentiond that the counselors were very mean and all kids were in bed at 6 not to mention the fact that it doesn't get dark now until 9:30 p.m!!! I would never recommend parents sending there child on a school trip here. my other son will not be attending in a couple years when the opportunity arises again.

Great camp! Directors are top notch. Kids return year after year and count days until camp starts again. Wide variety of activities from water sports, trapeze, crafts, horse back riding, etc.

The only reason this camp is still open is, because they have old campers that still send there kids to the camp. If you look around its still stuff that was there, when the parents were. The owners are cheap and sick every last cent out of anything to keep the profit. Dont send your kids to this camp

I would never return to tanuga. The counselors and campers priorities are getting high and drinking (even during camp-wide evening activities). I was disgusted by the lack of learning and supervision. This camp is unsafe and clicky. There is massive amounts of bullying and counselors could care less.

My kids love the place. They had been to another name camp and found the atmosphere to great. The small camp feeling makes the place.
