I personally enjoyed going to this camp with my troop. Many camps make you pay to go shooting or sail but, here it is free. The staff made class very fun and enjoyable, I just don't understand why people bad-mouth this camp. The food was decent although, the bathrooms and showers were absolutely terrible. Other then that, I enjoyed my week at camp Rodney and hope to return and soon become a staff member.

i love this camp, from bull mountian to the chesepeke the best program so far is Ace. i have been going their for five years and have never had a bad time (even with Leadership) highly recomend it if you love the mountians and the sea
|

Food quality really took a dive this year compared to last. Otherwise a great experience. Staff generally strong (especially aquatics and shooting sports). Excellent facilities.

The counselors don't know how to teach, made a bad time for my son, he told me if his troop goes to camp Rodney next year he won't go.

I've been going to Camp Rodney for 6 years, and have loved it each time I went. The staff at RSR is truly amazing, and is passionate about what they do. They're also all incredibly friendly. I've never had a bad experience at Rodney, save for the bugs. It is a little bit on the expensive side, but it is totally worth it. I would recommend Camp Rodney to anyone looking for a new place for summer camp. The aquatics program is out of this world, and all the program areas are excellent.

I have worked at Rodney for 3 years now and i must say it is amazing and i love working there...the staff is amazing and the program is fun and energetic....Rodney is an amazing place to be and the environmet is great....i highly recomend coming to Rodney we would love to see you there and guarantee you a great time!!!!...cause there "AINT NO STAFF LIKE A RODNEY STAFF!!!"

I've been going to Rodney for seven years and have never had a really bad experience. Sure there are huge spiders and mosquitos galore, but hey, what's scouting without a few bugs? I have been through many of the merit badge programs there, and I have to say, they are awesome! If you want a really good time, take the Rodney tech program... they even let you control the camp newspaper! The Brownsea program kicks butt and is really fun. The staff are extremely upbeat and are very encouraging. The pool rocks, and the nature program is pretty good. Just don't go week 1, there are no animals in the exhibits that week. The cool thing about nature is that if you capture and animal from around camp, they put in on exibit! However, their food could use some improving, but they have a great cereal bar for breakfast and a great salad bar. Unlike many camps, there are so many merit badges, even the older boys have plenty to do!

We got a Scout Camp on the Chesapeake, a camp that's really worth your while. We've seen a dozen other Scouting camps, but Rodney's got them beat a mile or two or three. You better come to Rodney's camp today; put on your shorts and come prepared to stay. When Scouting time rolls round again, you'll say, again, you'll say, Rodney's the place for me! Yeaaaaaaaaaa Rodney!

first visit was very good. Second visit state highways were shut down. Could not get to camp. The camp refused to refund our money or transfer to another date. Rotten people who do not follow the scout law, just the almighty $$$. We will never go back. My advice, don't go or if you do don't pay in advance. They are dishonest!

Over all, everything was good. The only not-so-good thing were the latrines. Since when do wolf spiders been 6 inches long?
