River Way Ranch Camp is a fantastic sleep away camp for kids especially first time campers. Our family has been closely tied to this camp since many of our family members were counselors many years ago. The activities are the best. These include water skiing, bb guns , go carts, and of course the amazing atlantis- the inflatable obstacle course floating on top of What Lake. The food is very good. The counselors are fantastic and the best of the best. Every counselor truly cares about you. The cabins are very nice and air conditioned. This camp has been the best in the business since 1967. The camp spirit is the same as it was when Stan Oken first started it. This camp has truly exceeded every expectation and has truly given me memories and friendships to last a lifetime.

What can I say? "Friends and memories to last a lifetime." I see Riverway as a second home, and I plan to become a counselor there. I have gone there for five years and would do so again in a heartbeat. My greatest friends are people I have met there, and many of them I shall remeber and treasure for the rest of my days. It may be expensive for some, but price often ensures quality. The people there are diverse in orgin and personality, and all of them are true role models. If you are considering going there or if the thought has crossed your mind, then go. Every field or kind of activity is there, and they have added more and more since I first went there.

Best camp you will ever go to. You do the best acctivites and just every thing about it is great. They have camp moms for kids to feel like they have someone to talk to. AMAZINGGGG camp!

Riverway is the best camp I have ever been to. I am a senior and this will be my 5th year at the camp and I love every minute I spend at Wonder Valley. Every summer I count down the days until camp begins. The activities are amazing, the counselors are perfect as well as the facilities. I love how the staff will do whatever it takes for a camper to never forget their great camp experience. One part about Riverway I especially love are the counselors. They are always funny and easy to get along with. They take such an interest in the campers that by the time you have to go back home you feel like They're your genuine friend. I love Riverway and intend on going back for as many summers as I can.

When I was in 6th grade, I attended Wonder Valley Outdoor Education, which is help at River Way Ranch Camp/Wonder Valley Family Camp/ Wonder Valley Ranch Resort and Conference Center I recently attended a notable astronomy camp in California and found Wonder Valley to be better is most all attributes. The food at Wonder Valley was awesome and can’t be copied; the chefs are amazing. Wonder Valley made you feel more at home with its counseling staff, homey feel, and support staff. Overall, the staff at Wonder Valley was much better in comparison in comparison to the astronomy camp I just returned from. Wonder Valley has 1-2 counselors that sleep in the cabins with you, which I really liked. It gave me the opportunity to bond with my counselor who I am still close friends with 3 years later.

This camp is definently the best camp I have ever been to. Their are many activities that keep you busy and having fun. They have many outdoor activities that allow you to do fun and challenging things like ropes courses, water skiing, and campouts. Riverway also has great conselors that are constantly putting others before themselves

I have worked for this camp for seven years and they are the one of the best employer that I have ever had. We provide top rated outdoor activities and provide personal attention to every camper who attends camp. The staff is well trained and only the best of the best. This is the number one camp!

Both my children have been going to Riverway for the past 7 years. The camp offers an array of activities for the campers to choose from. Most of the activities are outdoors, while only a few are inside. Having many choices in activities is important for kids as this way the campers can try new things and challenge themselves. What also differentiates this camp from others, are the counselors! They go through a thorough screening and training session. Something every parent is happy about. Riverway is not only concerned with the kids having fun, but also keeping them safe. The counselors use camp names, which kids LOVE! This camp is so great that my daughter is going back as a CIT this year. Both my kids get home from camp and count the days until they get to go back! Go Riverway!!!

I've been going to this camp since i can remember. Its my favortite place in the world. It has amazing activities both indoor and outdoor for whatever mood your in and the councelors are awesome. They're always really funnay and nice and I love all their different camp names! This is the best camp in the world.

I've only been there for 1 year but it was really fun, I can't wait to go back. The staff are amazingThey are funny, nice, and smart. Their camp names are so funny. My councilers last year were Elmo and Herbie!! Their food is great and I love the wave runners!!! THey are really fun when you are with Lummas. I love it!!!

I've been going to this camp for 8 years, and every year i look forward to going back. The staff there to me is what makes it so amazing. The camper staff relationship is outstanding. The staff gets to know their campers personally, and the campers get to know their counslers personally. There will never be a time when you need help and a staff member won't be able to help you. Another amazing aspect of this camp is the outdoor activities. There are so many options to choose from, and everyone who goes there finds many things they love to do. There's activities ranging from horses to paintball. From just jamming on the guitar in a jam session to playing a game of ultimate frisby. The camp is also very clean. They make sure that every camper takes responsibility in keeping the camp beautiful and clean. Campers have to clean up their own cabins every day. All in all this camp definetly tops so many other camps and i recommend it to anybody who is looking for a camp.

I have been sending my three boys this camp for more than a decade - I too am an Alumni. The Oken family traditions still live today with a brillant staff and amazing counselors. The activities are diverse with overnights to Sequoia National Forrest, Sierra National Forrest and I think they even do a ski overnight. You wont find a camp that values the individual while keeping with the camp traditions like you will at River Way. One of my sons attempted another camp once and only once. River Way is a place where you and your children will grow and they will create lasting memories and firendships that will truly last a lifetime - it has inn our family of two generations...soon to be three.

Riverway Is a great camp. I have also been going for 7 years and to see all of these reviews with kids who return year after year it must mean something! The counselors are all supportive and fun. The fun nicknames is tradition at riverway and when I applied for CIT that was something I was really excited for! I've also never met so many international people in one place. There are countless counselors from Australia, New Zealand, Poland, Spain and there are many international campers as well from France, Spain, etc. When making your decision on where to send your children..Riverway should be your first choice!

Both of my kids have gone here for many years. It is well run, diverse, has great activities including horses, go carts, great lake and waterslides, lots of fun, safe and well worth the trip from Brooklyn, NY to sunny California in the summertime.

I have been going to Riverway for 5 years and I would definitely recommend spending a few weeks at this camp. I look forward to going every summer to spend time with the great counselors and all my friends.

This is not a camp for Outward Bound types, nor should it be--temps in the summer can get above 100, so the camp has to be careful about living conditions and activities. That said, this has been a great camp for my son--the counselors are great and the activities are fun. The camp is expensive, but you get a lot for the money. Campers come from all over, so there is also a cosmopolitan feel here. Campers are safe and have lots of fun. My son has gone there for eight or nine years, all very positive. AND he likes the food.

This is the best camp ever. This will be my 7th year attending Riverway and I hope to be accepted as a CIT so I can have more and more fun at the camp. There are so many fun activities, mostly outdoors and some indoors, and they accommodate to all campers' interests. If you are looking into sending your child to a different sleep away camp, try Riverway. No doubt your child will love it.

my daughter went for the first time away to sleepaway camp, she loved it and can't wait to go again next summer. This camp is truly the "four seasons" of all camps.

this camp is horrible. its not a real camp, its nice and had carpet, and air conditioning, but no one likes that unless there a stupid rich kid who only goes to say they go to sleepaway camp, when it's really a hotel. the counslers have stupid nicknames like "lucky" and "cherio". the whole camp is stupid and a waste of like 10000 bucks.

This camp is perfect for a kid who lives in LA and does not want to go that far a way but still wants all of the perks of home. They do everything for campers there short of giving massages! Other than the non-outdooredness of the camp it was fun.

I absolutely LOVE this camp. If you are contemplating on coming here I suffest that you do. There are so many things to do. The only thing is that it is a little on the expensive side, BUT if that is not a drawback then this is the camp to go to.
