Wow. This camp is the most amazing camp in the world. This was my first year and Centauri already felt like a home to me after a few days! Staff - Counsellors were so much fun and competely put everything into what they did. The Program Directors were incredible art professionals who are experienced and make excellent final performances. The facilities are very good, great stages, great portables, great dining hall, exceptional dorms (usually not messy). Activities are so much fun, the programs themselves are great and workshops are a lot of fun. Personal attention? Uh, Yeah! Everybody is treated the same and gets undivided attention, you can really be yourself and do whatever you want! If during free time you just want to lay in your dorm and read, that's cool! Everything is O.K there! I really feel at home in Centauri and I want to thank Julie and Craig for making such an amazing home for me. I could go on and on but I can't, so I'll say this. Centauri staff train and plan for the whole year preceding camp. The equipment and facilities available to campers are abundant and of good-quality. I feel more at home at this camp than anywhere else because of the amazing community feeling.

My daughter is just as excited planning her fifth summer at Centauri as the previous 4. She calls it her "home away from home" and keeps in touch with all her friends all winter. She enjoys the inclusive accepting environment - so unlike school.

I LOVE THIS PLACE. I have gone to this camp for six years. The camp happened to be recommended from a family friend, and I haven't regretted it since. I have made life lasting friendships here, and I will never forget secret ceremonies or any crazy festivals, like Harry Potter or Alice in Wonderland. Counsellors here are excellent. They are fun, friendly, and are there if you need anything. Program Directors are amazing. My imaginary hat goes to all of them. Whether it be a CREATE program where your brain can run wild or clowning where you can act like a child. This camp has every art under the sun for every artist to enjoy. The camp took the advice of the campers to give them more free time to create new friendships and to strengthen old ones. The camp directors are amazing and I want to thank them for creating someplace that is magical enough to allow people to be who they truly are.

I've been going to Centauri for 3 summers now, and every year I'm sad to go home. Centauri is a place where fun is had every day, new friends are made every day and you always learn something new. I've made friends and learned skills at Centauri to last a lifetime.

Centauri holds a special place in my heart, because all of my favourite memories are from my summers there. ANYBODY who loves ANY type of art should consider going here, because they will not regret it. Everything is amazing, between the staff, the programs, the activities, just EVERYTHING is FANTASTIC!

Centauri Summer Arts Camp is the only place you should send your child if they want to have fun and develope their arts interests over the summer. I go back year after year to a group of old friends I love and always leave with twice as many as I started with. The counsellors are amazing at what they do, which is essentially being energetic, wacky, and creating an accepting environment. The Program Directors are all exceedingly knowledgable of their art form and almost all have extensial prowess in other forms as well. A WARNING TO ALL CAMPERS: If you think you are too cool for some activities, or feel like excluding or descriminating against some kind of people, you will find no allies at Centauri until your attitude changes. Centauri is a meeting place for people from all walks of life and of all ages, and it is generally accepted that life is what you make it. You will not enjoy yourself unless you throw yourself at life with an open mind and a willingness to have fun.

Singing queen on your chair at dinner! Zombie day!Chinese banquets!I loved every minute of it. The staff was awesome, the programs were fun and I learned a lot. The other campers made the camp the happiest place on earth for me!!!!

This camp has quite honestly changed my life. I know that when during the year i'm stressed out because of exams or just my hometown friends, I have my place to escape to during the summer. Theres people who understande me for me and even if the councilliors can be a little over protective sometimes, it makes it feel like im back at home and my mom wont let me go out. The prgrams arn't for people who just want to work constantly but they will still push you and in my first year alone after i got home, i gained the confidence to audition hor local theatre productions. Centauri is probably one of the best places on the earth for me and even though it's a little more expensive than other places, my parents continue to send me because they know when i get home im happy for weeks after and based upon that they know how awesome this camp truley is :D

Centauri has definitely been a big part of my life, but I'll get right to why I voted how I voted. I gave the staff a 3/5. This is because although they are very caring and qualified, they are too in your face and treat us like children. We're teenagers, it's normal for us to want to spend time with the opposite sex! Counsellors seem to think that us finding someone we're interested in should be frowned upon, but we go to camps to meet people! It's normal for us to like the people we meet! The facilities are perfect, and we definitely get personal attention, and it's definitely worth every penny. The activities are great but sometimes dumbed down for the less experienced which frustrated me, and sometimes the workshops weren't what I was interested in or the evening program wasn't as fun as other evening programs. All in all though, I'd definitely recommend Centauri, it really is a great place and the food rocks!

This camp is absolutely perfect. Everyone at this camp are the most brilliant people that I've ever met. The food is good, the activities are amazing and the memories you leave with are unforgetable. This is the best camp in the world, in my opinion.

For the large numbers of kids that attend this camp multiplied by the session fees, this camp should be able to afford better artistic staff. Young grads who just a few years into establishing their careers don't (I feel) warrant the expensive fees. Also, there have been some disappointing years where really young campers have wrecked the main art programs simply because they are too young to concentrate. Your kids will come home hyped up; as that seems to be the ethos of the camp. Food is great; cabin counsellors are friendly, facilities are a military training camp -- basic accommodation and a tiny swimming pool. Viewing your kids' performance is a nightmare as the halls get overheated This isn't really aspectacular 'arts' camp; more a just basic pleasant warm friendly responsible camp where your kids can have fun, do some ok art, and make friends.

I just went to Centauri this summer and had an amazing time! I made lots of great friends and as everyone says, a great sense of community. I got some good arts training, many memories and great laughs. The best part is chair dancing and all the evening activities!

Centauri is my happy place. The staff are all fabulous... fun, caring and amusing. The arts training is amazing - you have an awesome time yet you actually improve your acting/writing/dancing/whatever. Evening programs are so much better than the traditional canoe-camping-outdoorsyness. You can travel back in time, meet JFK and Churchill, or Velma from "Chicago". Imagination is abundant, Julie's stories are fab, and I can't wait til next summer! :)

If you're looking for serious, technique-based classes, this isn't for you. That said, this is perfect for anyone with a quirky sense of humor who wants to learn and have fun at the same time, and who doesn't mind laughing at themselves as they clap along with the camp song.

This camp has everything that any aspiring artist needs. The staff are friendly and caring and knowledgeable in their fields, the experiences last a lifetime, and the sense of community there is unbelievable. I've been going to Centauri for 4 years and would recommend it to anyone with a passion for the arts. Brant is ridiculously good-looking.

I went to this camp for 5 years. It was one of the very best experiences of my life. The programs were terrific and I loved the sense of community. I'd recommend Centauri to any kid or teenager who loves the arts. It is an absolutely wonderful place!
