Akelaland is an OUTSTANDING summer camp for Cub Scouts. The Scouts are busy from sun up to sun down! I highly recomend attending. Scouts learn all sorts of skills. The staff is awesome! Im looking forward to going back this year!

I took 5 of my scouts (Pack 71) and they had a blast, I think it was one of the most rewarding things I have done in my life with my son. We hope to have 15 or more scouts this year.

was there last week(week 2) with a dozen of my weblos camp was great and as usual foof and ryan did a great job putting together a great program and staff with the large turn over of staff I was supprised how well it went another reason they all deserve kudos if you can get your unit in go you will not regret it

As a former Program director and staff member at Akelaland for 8 yrs this is my honest review. I have never seen a camp run with as much enthusiasm as Akelaland. in the mid 90's this camp was way below capacity, however over the last 15 years the staff, and funding has improved, making Akelaland the best Cub Camp on the east coast hands down. It still resembles a real camp, with real tents. You won't find a cub world castle or Fort here, this is summer camp the way it was meant to be. I encourage your unit to try akelaland and give your scouts a great week of camp. -Steve, Staff '97-'04

It is the best Cub Scout camp ever. The staff and program are excellent. A wonderful week!The only down-side is that they share a reservation and lake with Settler's Camp (a poorly run boy scout camp) which distracts from the effors of this excellent cub camp.

Last summer was my first summer at Akelaland, and it was great! I was very nervous since I'd never gone camping before, but the staff was very helpful. The new dining hall was beautiful (although I didn't get to see the old one!). I thought both the Camp Director and Program director were very caring, and from what I saw the staff loved being there! I'm hoping to send my older son there this summer to volunteer. I also heard they are building a pool for this summer. The lake was nice, but I'd love to have a pool. We'll definitely be back next year!

Akelaland was okay. Minsi Trials is majorly overpricing their camp. You do not get what you pay for. The Camp Director is an ego maniacal dictator. The staff does not enjoy being there. The program director is obviously a push over to the dictator camp director. Would not reccomend to anyone.

This camp is great! You can't beat the value: lots of activities pretty much every waking hour for very little money. If you're looking for fun things to do like knots, swimming, BB, archery, and other stuff and you're 6-10 years old, this is the perfect camp for you! You need to be in the Cub Scouts to go, so if you're not, join today!

Great camp - worth going to! Cub scouts and weblows love it and the staff are also very kind and helpful. My cubbies can hardly wait to go back next year!
