This camp is truly wonderful. My daughter came home more confident and independent. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They offered many different activities that my daughter loved like archery, boating and ropes. She can't wait to return next summer!

Everything about this camp is perfect. The staff, the activities, the programs, the experiences. Your child will carry memories from this place for the rest of her life.

I went to this camp for 4 years (3rd grade- 6th grade) I loved it when I went in 3rd and 4th grade but as I got older it started to be not as fun. For one everything is controlled and you don't choose your own activities. Which is o.k. but as you get older you start not wanting to be controlled as much. The counselors were really nice but there were a couple of duds. The tents are nice and clean except the bug netting can get extremely annoying. The food was good except last year they hired a new food service and they had a terribly mean chef and the food sucked. The shower thing is true but it's not so bad. It mostly depends on the size of your unit. I had 12 girls in a unit and we had 10 min. showers but the last year I was there I had 32 girls and we had 2 min. showers.

Rock HIll Camp is really great. I've been going for two summers and I think that it is amazing. Both years were some of the best experiences I've ever had. I have friends that I will keep for a lifetime, and many amazing memories. The counselors are a lot of fun and they are really caring. You don't have to be a Girl Scout to go, so you meet some girls who are and aren't part of the organization. It isn't completely aimed at scouting, but you do learn some life skills (for example last year my counselor taught me how to pitch a tent and start a campfire). The special programs are amazing and provide a lot of fun!

My daughter loved this camp and went for many years. She is now in college but was talking the other day about how great and how much fun it was. I reminded her that she did not love the swimming so much but she now says that she is very glad they taught her to swim.

this camp is awesome! you r a fool if u don't like this camp. people say that the counsilers will pull you out of the showers but they really don't. you can swim, boat, hike, arts & crafts, archery, and do the ropes course (inclueding the zip line!) i lov this camp and am going back for many summers. they have different programs so that u can do what u want to do! Each program also inclueds a trip. sometimes even two! i luv this camp and you should definitly go!

My kids have been going to Rock Hill for 10 years total. They have loved the experience. I judge it by the number of letters that I receive and they have dwindled with each passing year. I have some objections with some of the staff, but for the most part, it has been a positive experience.

I've gone here two years in a row now, and it's been great. I had a bit of a panic attack on the first night this year, and the conserares stayed up with me and talked to me. Itw as really great. Juliettes was tons of fun, because the cooks are SO funny and when you're not working you can do whatever you want, like watch Jerry Springer. It's amazingly fun!

Whoever said that they would threaten or physically pull you out of the showers is a complete lie! I went to rock hill in 2006 and it was the best excpirience ever! I thought that the way we played so many games on the fourth of july was the best part! The food was good and the blob was the best part of swimming. For those of you who don't know what the blob is all I have to say is you can only go on it if you are a green cap so I encorige you to practice swimming so you can go on it! I once did a backflip in the air on the blob!!! The counclers were amazing and when I ate a kiwi and found out that I was allergic they took care of me like I was the only camper there. They really pay attention to every single camper. I love this camp but now I have to leave after going there for 2 years.

rock hill is good if your little but as you get older you see some of the things that are wrong w/ it like idk how unhappy half the staff is and other things. it's a cool place and outpost is amazing but once you've gone there for like 4 years straight you get sick of seeing all the same people and doing all the same things. co-ed camps are so much better. but rock hill is cool

I've been going to Rock Hill Resident Camp for 5 years now and when your younger it's fun around the middle to end of your session. Yet if you keep going there(or start when your older), it's probably one of the best summer experiences you'll have. I'd recommend Outpost or one of the programs a little younger than the girls in the Outpost program, such as Triple B's or River Runners. The best thing is that you don't even have to be a girl scout(although it's cheaper if you are). The whole not showering if you went swimming thing isn't true-or at least not with the counselors I've had. Definitely do Outpost though-your on your own schedule and don't have to deal with extremely boring swim lessons at 7 in the morning..your in charge of your schedule; including what time you wake up each day, which everyone loves=)

i went when i was younger so im not sure if it has changed since then, but the staff kids that were also campers made it hell, if we had swimming in the morning we couldnt shower until that night or change out of our swimsuits until it was convienent for the rest of the group, which could mean that we didnt change until that night. I also remember that we were only given 3 minutes to shower and if you werent out the councelors would threaten you and/or pull you physically out of the shower...just not a good experience
