7/18/18   5     5     5     5     5   My 7 & 8 yr olds can't wait to go to camp each day. They talk about camp all night! This is by far their best experience. Campers have the choice of 60 electives each week! My kids have been able to try fencing, archery, and martial arts. My daughter loves cheer and dance. My son learned how to (finally) ride a bike - less stress on mom & dad :) Campers up to 4th grade have daily swim classes! The staff is friendly and caring. Local teachers work at the camp during summer break. Many campers graduate and become counselors, which gives a true family feeling to the camp. This is a fully inclusive camp with one-on-one advocates available for campers with special needs and social workers. This is a tech free zone... when the kids come home from camp, they want to play outside until bedtime! The camp grounds are beautiful and well thought out. Friday assembly is live-streamed. My kids talk about the camp core values: Independence, Integrity, Aspiration, Teamwork & Friendship. RID: 52019
Click to report rating    7/18/18   5     5     5     5     5   This is our first summer at Liberty Lake Day Camp. My daughter loves it! When she gets off the bus at the end of the day she always says at dinner how much she misses Camp! We love that it is screen free and all outdoors. My daughter can choose to do theater or dance or build a rocket or climb a rock wall any given week. We are so glad that we found a camp with such a supportive staff and an incredible environment. Click to report rating    7/18/18   5     5     5     4     5   Both of my daughters have been going to this camp now for three years. They started at ages six and nine and are now eight and 11. They are actually very upset when camp ends. This camp has been totally unplugged And busy doing active things, learning to be part of a team, learning to make goals and achieve those goals and busy doing active things, learning to be part of a team, learning to make goals and achieve those goals, try things outside their comfort zone, and learn to become more independent. Both of my daughters are now very good swimmers thanks to this camp. One has gone completely outside her comfort zone and done things that surprised all of us and become more independent and confident in herself in her abilities. Without this camp my children wouldn’t be a confident, happy, and more independent children that they are. They are more willing to try different things that they aren’t always comfortable with or scared of since they’ve been at this camp. We hope to be goin RID: 52017

Click to report rating    7/18/18   5     5     5     5     5   One son has been going for 7 years and the other for 5. LOVE this camp and their staff. Andy knows every child's name. If you have any concern, it's addressed immediately. Lots of stuff to do, no devices allowed, so many options for every child. Experiences that last a lifetime for them. I wish I could go myself! Click to report rating    6/7/15   1     4     2     1     1   Camp is only good for older kids and definitely not young or special services children. It is 15 year olds watching 6-10 year olds. They have a history of special needs children not leaving or being kicked out because they can NOT handle them. RID: 48726

Click to report rating    5/26/14   5     3     5     5     5   After going to this camp for 12 years and counting i believe that this is a great camp to send your kids to. Activities are good and the staff are friendly. That said the restrooms are disgusting. The food has greatly improved however some choices are better than others. RID: 47342

Click to report rating    3/6/08   1     2     4     1     2   My son attended this camp a few years ago and he hasn't been back since. Let me start off by saying that some of the counselors are too young minded to be in charge of children, regardless of age. My son almost drowned in the pool while the counselors were horseplaying with each other and one of them were on their cell phone. Another camper pulled him up and out of the water. His counselor constantly teased him and started arguments and taunting between the campers in his group. A bus counselor lied on my son and told the driver that he was cursing. A few days later another camper on the bus told the driver that it never happened and apologized to my son for co-signing the incident and the bus driver apologized also for believing it. The bus counselor was never reprimanded. My son has ADHD and they were fully aware of it, yet they still complained that he was too hyper. Activities are great, the staff are not. Money matters to them. Andy never knew a thing. How convenient RID: 20971
Click to report rating    11/13/07   5     4     4     5     5   As a 3 year camper, i have to say that there are some good things, and some bad things about this camp. The staff are AMAZING, and last year a had an absolutely life-changing counselor who told me amazing stories and was SOOOO nice to me. The activities get boring after a while, but since they aren't extremely strict it's okay. The bathrooms are pretty gross, and so is %40 of the food, but it is still edible because a lot of kids seem to like it. I had amazing friends there and my bus couselors were really funny. The older kids (entering 7,8,9th grades) get "Senoritis" as we call it and just roam around doing what ever they want, and you can tell that most of their parent forced them to go to camp that summer. The lake is clean and fun unlike many other camp lakes. I am going back next year even though i will be a senor. The director is nice and very caring. One of the things I didn't like was that they called alot of unnecessary drills, like fire drills for example. RID: 17046
Click to report rating    10/20/07   3     5     4     2     5   This camp is the best out there and so is our brother camp BLACK BEAR LAKE. We both share things from camp to camp for eachother. The staff though sometimes is rude to the kids and they r supposed to be there to help and solve the problems at the camp with everyone. THis camp is so recommended this is my 5th year and more people came this year and we added everything we could afford to make it funner and happier there for everyone. The price might not be right for u and to much for so little but ur kid and u will be so surprised by this camp u know they would have fun.And for u parents out there who have bad days at work or where ever trust me ur kids will be exhausted and fall asleep earlier and be more quietier so u dont have to put up with the noise and problems. So just please recommened sending your kid here and u wont be sorry for this. You also could join to and be staff just go to libertylakedaycamp.com and get a resume form fill it out and u should be a part of our family. Tha RID: 16370
Click to report rating    9/19/07   3     5     5     3     4   Have had a great 4 years so far, despite the fact that the councilor's attitudes are slowing getting worse. Only thing is that after it rains it's too muddy. Field trips could be a bit better, as could the office staff's attitude towards parents. The food is also pretty bad, and in all my friends' and my opinion, barely edible. But the electives are great, the bus drivers are cool, and Andy is still awesome. I've met some of my best friends at LLDC! (One of which happens to live within walking distance of me, and we never would have met if it weren't for Liberty Lake). Can't wait for Color War next summer! Let's hope I get to wave the Flag of Failure with my friends! We always wave a flag for our team color if we lose while yelling "YEAH WE FAIL! GO US!" because we have awesome sportsmanship. RID: 15452
Click to report rating    8/20/07   2     3     4     2     3   While this camp may be great for older children, I don't think they have their heads on quite straight with regard to the younger children. I'm talking about kids younger than 6. My son's been teased on the bus, hit, and had bug spray sprayed in his eye and no one picks up the phone to call me, but let HIM hit someone and they're all over me. Then they bring in pro wrestlers. The older kids know that this is just fake, but the younger ones don't. I also didn't like when they set the director's pants on fire during ugly shorts day. As an adult I thought it was hilarious, but my son freaked out thinking they had burned the director while he was wearing his pants. Not funny for a six-year-old. RID: 14235
