Disappointing experience. After giving it a second chance this year, we won't be sending our child back. Nice enough setting but how this place is run isn't healthy or the atmosphere I want my child to spend time at - life is to short for taking chances that things will improve or changes will be made... when they clearly haven't been.

My 10 year old and her friends all came back unhappy after a week here. The counselor they were assigned was impatient and seemed not interested in being there. They were made to do a swim test in the freezing sound, I'm not sure why because they didn't even go kayaking or go swimming. They did not enjoy this camp and couldn't wait to get home.

Sealth is for all ages. Younger children will experience the out of doors based on their ages while older youth have far more advanced programs such as sailing and wind surfing. I went 8 years as a youth member and am still volunteering there years later. A mile an half of beach and nearly 400 acres for hiking. A Green camp, in business since 1920, 1921 at present site. One of the oldest camps anywhere in the country. Specialty programs for diabetics, PKU, asthma camp and more. Special diets are provided. Ignore the writer who thinks camp is for young kids. I loved the high school program even more than the one for younger children. Magic happens at Sealth. One suggestion: Make the effort to bring your child to the Goodtime in Seattle. Usually it departs from Shilshole. Those taking the ferry out of Tacoma miss out on the magic of arriving by boat and never seeing the road into camp. Groups begin bonding on the boat. My very best friends in the world are from Sealth.

I started going to Sealth when I was 6 or 7 and I stopped when I was 11 or 12 to go to a differant camp. I now work at the other camp but I will never forget my time at Sealth. It really was the best camp I ever went to (and I've been to a lot)- I have so many wonderful memories :). I think all young children should go here, but on that note i think it is best for only young children. Unless your kid has gone to this camp for many years I don't think it would be the best camp to start at when your older. There is less intrigue for older campers and the camp is pretty geared towards younger kids. The only thing that I was ever disappointed about a Sealth was that I had had quite a bit of previous experiences with horses but I was put in the lowest group because I didn't have previous experience at Sealth itself. All and all I think that you should definitely send your kids here- they will never forget the memories they make :D.

Wow, I went to camp Sealth almost 20 years ago. I have such great memories: polar bears...where I freezed my butt off jumping into the water..hahaha, the camp counselors were awesome, the canoe day trip, where it rained and our canoe flipped over..ha. I wish I could go back someday even though now I am sure they don't have camp for 30 year olds. I will always hold fond memories of all of my summers spent there.

Camp Sealth Wrangler program is AWESOME!!! The cabins are the nicest I've ever seen. The staff are so nice. They have everything possible to do, from archery to fun-yaking. The counselors are so nice to everyone. It is expensive, but the activities and food (by the way, AWESOME) are totelly worth it. I love Camp Sealth!

I did Wrangler two years ago. Lots of fun, nice and friendly counselors, tons of riding, and (at least in Wrangler) the nicest cabins ever, with two bathrooms and three other rooms, with real doors and windows and stuff. Like dorm rooms, only little houses. Tons of fun- Sealth is a great place to spend a few weeks.
