My daughter had a great time and loved the activities, especially the watersports and gymnastics! So I am extremely disappointed as a parent when I learned about a number of things that I think are inappropriate: *offering a 3 day boat trip without having a nurse on board - very concerning if you have a camper with a severe food allergy *using a first time boat captain who gets drunk on the boat (he was fired after trip) *as told to me by my daughter's friend because she's too young to know what this is, bringing up the topic of rape in a camp wide morning meeting

I have been going to Robin Hood Camp for 11 years (about to be 12,) and I still love it more every year. With a nurturing environment and very friendly staff, Robin Hood is a great place for your child. Robin Hood is a camp for all ages, and campers range from 6 years old to 16 years old. It is a sports camp with 37 sports, and many fun activities. You get to meet life long friends and keep active. All of the campers are friendly. The facilities of camp are very nice and improve each year. The food has been quite delicious these past couple years as well. Robin Hood likes to keep that traditional camp feeling-whether its sleeping in nice wooden cabins, going on cabin over nights and camping out (on Robin Hood property,) or enjoying a lobster by the relaxing oceanside-that is aesthetically pleasing all the while utilizing nice facilities such as showers, cabins, and the dining hall. On the lake and by the sea, Robin Hood is a wonderful experience for everyone.

Robin Hood has been one of the main factors in my successful development as a young man. From my first year, 2002, I have had beyond excellent counselors who taught me life lessons such as social skills, confidence, and the point of being a good sport. The facilities all have very efficient standards, while still keeping the appealing rustic charm that only Robin Hood can provide. The dining hall has all sorts of food options so campers will never be hungry. Also each sport is well equipped with the materials required to properly teach it. I am now a director and only elevated to this status due to the experience I had as being a camper. Robin Hood Camp pushes campers to new goals, helps them make friends from all over the world, and blesses each and every individual with the quality of a healthy community. Every day I appreciate all that Robin Hood has given me.

Robin Hood Camp has been a home-away-from-home. I started as a young camper and returned for two more years before working for two additional years on staff. From the beginning, I bonded with campers and counsellors who became mentors and taught me a lot about integrity and self-reliance, values I try to give back to campers as a counsellor myself. Having the opportunity to train as a junior counsellor then counsellor was an invaluable lesson in entering the working world. Robin Hood is a great place to grow up. I made lifelong friends there from around the world. The Robin Hood philosophy is to enable campers to enjoy their summers, gain skill and competence, and then use their growing maturity to become responsible young adults. It taught me important life skills that prepared me for my future.

I have been a part of the Robin Hood community for 10 summers and every year I come back for the same reasons. I feel like I am at home at Robin Hood. I was a camper for 7 summers and I felt like I grew up with the campers around me that came back summer after summer. I have made life long friends and I have learned so much along the way. I don't think there is anywhere else i'd like to spend my summers. It is a perfect getaway from the stresses of work and school. I learned how to sail, waterski, shoot a bow and even was instructed by an international soccer player. I was 9 when I started and I was nervous at first but the atmosphere at Robin Hood is devoted to community and becoming an active, responsible and respectful member of the camp.

My son went to Robin Hood for the first time four years ago. He is smart and kind, but somehow, he struggled at school both socially and academically. But when he came home after his first summer at Robin Hood, he came out of his shell and excelled in every respect. He had self confidence that he lacked because counselors took a particular interest in him. He made so many friends that he keeps in touch with all year round. He has been at Robin Hood for the past four summers, will return this year as a CIT, and plans to continue to be at Robin Hood as a counselor for as long as he can. But the best part of Robin Hood is he know has a much more positive outlook on life. Thank you Robin Hood!!

I have participated as both a camper and counselor at this camp, so I have been able to experience the camp from both angles. As a camper I really connected with the campers in my cabin and made friends instantly. The counselors always made an effort to include me in cabin activities. I felt like I could try any activity at the camp, reguardless of my experience. I tried wakeboarding for the first time and was surprised when I stood up on my first try! I will never forget that amazing feeling of accomplishment. I now have friends from all over the world and I still keep in contact with them. As a counselor, I got to teach campers alongside my friends I had made as a camper. I have made life-long friends at Robin Hood, and would not change anything about my camp experience.

Robin hood camp has always been an incredible summer experience for me. I witnessed the positive atmosphere of camp as both staff and a camper, and every year was better than the last! It is a challenging, yet stimulating environment for kids, and everyone can find their niche here while enjoying a multitude of activities. Campers can try something new during morning activities, and receive expert instruction in a broad range of activities, and then they can hone their skills in their main sport during the afternoon. Anything from sailing (my personal favorite), to rock climbing, lacrosse and even rubics cube; campers can enjoy whatever they want! The camp atmosphere is not only incredibly fun, it is also a great international community, uniting kids form all over the world. The multi national network of friends I have built from my years at camp is something that I will treasure for ever. The friends you make at camp are friends that you keep for the rest of your life.

Robin Hood was a fantastic experience for me, both as a camper as well as a staffer. The year round office does a fantastic job making sure that the most unique and talented people are hired every year, and the equipment is constantly upgraded to make sure that the programs run as smoothly as possible. As a camper, I made friends for life and as a staffer, specifically as a junior counselor, I learned valuable life lessons that have translated into a great career. Robin Hood was a fantastic part of my childhood and I could not imagine going to another camp!

I love this place. I went here as a kid and have sent my kids here for the past 5 years. Every year the program seems more advanced than the year before and the staff seem mature. It's a little pricey and the boys hill is a little old fashion but I appreciate the upholding of tradition. Great people. Great place.

I'm a little puzzled at some of the reviews...my kids loved this camp! The range of activities (32 total) is incredible, and the counselors were very nice as well. Cabins are also kept very clean. Excellent waterskiing/wakeboarding program.

All three of my children love Robin Hood and can't wait each summer for camp. The program is great, the teaching is unusually good for a camp and the children are exposed to other children from all over the world. A terrific growth opportunity for our children who all come back with increased confidence and mny stories to tell.

Lots of great things about this camp, but I would never send our kids back. A pack of rich latin bully kids run the show, and nice kids are powerless to stop it. Some amazing counselors, but half the art cabin, for example, has sunken into the earth and can't be used. Owner admits the food is deplorable. Kids are milked for names of their friends, and office staff follows up to get them to come. More focus on making money, though the stated values are great.

if you want your kids to be poorly looked after, in the hands of kids who arent trained in their "specialty", verbally abused by the camp owner, eating horribly and surrounded by kids who do not speak english and refuse to try, this is the place for you. it is a disgrace. a truly horrific choice.

I thoght overall the camp was good.... There we soooo many cliques it was out of control, if your not in then your not going to have fun... There were many people who think they are the best but they are really backstabbing and annoying. The upside is that the councilers are GREAT

very cliquey. if you're not in, then it sucks. and the top staff promote this and like it that way. also, i know they only pay counselors like 200 dollars for the whole summer. so, that's BS. you either love it or hate it, but to love it, you probably have to start going there when you're like 5 years old. just not my style. if it's your style, then you suck too.

This is the best camp in the world! Lol-no really, it is. It may be expensive, but there are over 32 sports, and have professionals teaching the activities. There are also trips that you can take to Boston, cruises, and more. This is a VERY international camp-from USA to Venezuela to Japan, and all over Europe. Great for new experiences.
