Click to report rating    7/4/17   1     2     3     1     3   My daughter went to this camp and she hated it. She told me the food was terrible and she missed a lot of meals because the staff were so un-organized with before meals medication that she missed the food. Then she told me the staff were very mean. All they did was yell she said. One counselor was really mean and she would always yell at the kids " chew with your mouth closed" over and over again at the kids. And whenever she needed to get somewhere she would just say " out of my way move!" Also another mean counselor was yelling at the kids during there free time to " be quite i want to nap!" And one girl felt really sick and the counselor tells her " what are you doing in my presence" and she tells the kid " don't look at me walk away." Later one girl accidentally hit another girl with a metal water bottle and she got a black eye but the counselors were too lazy to take her to the nurse so I remained swollen. Very bad camp RID: 50923
Click to report rating    11/23/16   2     4     1     2     1   Unreasonably priced and each class is an extra fee. Food is meh, and most of the staff are interns from overseas, with accents (British, etc.) and have never been a camper. Not very traditional. I only went for one week to Eberhart and never again returned. There is also another camp on the lake that I have heard better about. RID: 50258
Click to report rating    6/28/15   5     4     5     5     5   My kids camped here for 8 years. They absolutely LOVE it. Last year when I took my daughter, my son was too old to be a camper (17). I thought he was going to cry after seeing many friends and counselors he met over the years. This year my daughter is a Counselor-in-Training and is excited to have a new role at camp. If she could stay the whole summer, she would. They have made so many friends from around the world. I cannot recommend this camp highly enough. It is fabulous and anyone who says otherwise is probably a spoiled brat. One of the best things about the camp is its equal treatment, attention and care for every camper. All campers are special - and no one is "more" special. If you want gourmet food, hotel accommodations, a place to show off your wardrobe and a personal assistant to hold your hand and think for you - go somewhere else. This camp is made for fun, teaches independence, lets you get dirty and always insists that everyone is treated with respect. RID: 48789
Click to report rating    8/17/14   2     1     1     1     3   The camp food is terrible! It is the smallest portion and not tasty food you will ever have. The staff will only talk to you if you are doing activities with them and the activities are bad anyways. I think they should have more private bathrooms for "number two" because the camp food will make you have to go. RID: 47862
Click to report rating    8/10/14   3     2     3     3     4   Poorly organized. My young son and first time camper missed activities and MEALS due to disorganized staff and cabin leadership. The cabins were stinky (carpet??) and a mess. Overall grounds were disappointing, not the rustic wooded experience hoped for. We hoped upon pick up he'd report having so much fun he would insist on returning next year but instead he said he never wants to go back. I think there are better Y camps for the same money in this area, Id look elsewhere. RID: 47819
Click to report rating    2/15/14   4     3     5     4     3   I've been going to camp for about 5 years now and I personally enjoy it. You get to meet people from all over the world, and experience things you would never if you hadn't gone to camp. The activities are always fun, and if you don't enjoy one that you signed up for the staff will gladly change it to something you would enjoy. The facilities are ok. The showers can be a little dirty from all of the girls that have to take a shower, but it's not really an issue. If you don't like that I suggest that you bring a pair of flip-flops to wear while you shower. Staff are super nice and are always super fun to be around. The food is pretty good for camp food. If you don't like what their serving that day they have cereal for the morning and sandwich and salad bar for the lunch and dinner time. Overall Eberhart is a wonderful experience that I think every one will enjoy. RID: 46770
Click to report rating    8/3/13   5     5     5     5     5   This is my daughters 4th year. The first year we only signed her up for one week with the option to go a second. When I talked to her on Thursday and asked if she wanted to stay a second week, she said 'of course, I am having a blast.' She really enjoys it. It is rustic and outdoorsy so you must enjoy that. The land it sits on is beautiful. RID: 45490
Click to report rating    7/18/13   5     5     5     5     5   I've been going to this camp for 6 years now i started when i was in 2nd grade. It changed my life. I was pretty homesick my first year but i had so much fun and went back for three weeks the next year. The counselors there are probably the coolest people you will ever meet. They were such a good role model today and still are (I'm 15). You get to choose all your activites and ive never disliked an activity i took at camp. they're are so much fun!! The food is decent, sometimes great, but your so hungry from all the activities that everything tastes good! The only bad part of this camp is having to leave it. I dont get homesick anymore i get camp sick. I cannot begin to tell you how amazing this camp is. RID: 45238
Click to report rating    8/7/11   5     4     5     4     5   I just went to Camp Eberhart for the first time this year, and I loved it! The counselors and staff were really nice and there was so many that you could always turn your head and find one not even 20 steps away, the food was really god, and I'm a really picky eater and I really liked all of the food, the activities were awesome and there were a lot to choose from. Even though it cost a lot for a week, it's really worth it because of how much fun you have. I can't wait to go back next year and have as much fun as I did this year! RID: 36637
Click to report rating    7/20/11   1     1     4     3     3   I was kind of surprised how many girls they had packed into a cabin - like sardines with no personal space at all. After two days my daughter was homesick and they didn't do much to help her through it - instead they called me to come get her. Come on - everyone gets homesick - learn to deal with it. RID: 36452
Click to report rating    6/30/11   3     4     1     1     2   Staff...okay. i guess. Facilities...obviously they have to be that nice for how much my parents paid. Activities....boring. Personal Attention....did they know i existed? Monetary Value....what? waste of my life that i will never get back. RID: 36255
Click to report rating    8/19/10   5     3     5     4     4   my daughter has gone for 2 years she loves it but says the food is terrible. Also, she reported they didn't shower for 4 days! Facilities were ok; "nicer" bathroom they sent me to was wet and dirty. They do a "broken arrow" award for "nicest" kid, as voted by other kids. She was disappointed that kid who got it was grouchy at times while her report stated she always had a smile, was happy to participate in whatever was going on, etc. Staff was very nice, many having been previous campers. Activities are typical but my daughter has a blast - seems well organized. I didn't like that horseback riding is "extra" $, my son attends a great camp where everything is included. Oh well, all said, she's very happy there RID: 33788
Click to report rating    11/1/07   5     4     5     5     5   I've only been to Eberhart once, but I'm coming back! Eberhart is AMAZING! I had the most fun there I've ever had! And the "White Man" story? Creepy! RID: 16664
Click to report rating    7/11/07   5     5     5     5     5   Camp Eberhart is the best! I've gone for 8 years and i plan on going as a camper next year then a CIT then a counselor. Best camp ever! The food i must say is not always the best if you are a picky eater but pb&j is always available. or salad. so yeah just a really great camp. RID: 12913
Click to report rating    12/5/06   5     5     5     5     5   Next year will be my 5th year there. If I had a choice I would go there all year round. I can't wait to the a coucelor there, all summer. It is the best place in the world! I jumped off Coop's for the 8th time this summmer...YAY! RID: 5713
Click to report rating    10/20/06   5     5     5     5     5   I've been going since I was a little kid, and I'll be a counselor there next year, it is the best camp I've ever been to and my favorite place to be. It gets better every year because the staff is dedicated to making it the best place it can be for the kids. RID: 4180
