Incredible program run by incredible directors. Last summer they did not operate and offered 100 percent refunds. Most camps did not. I will be sending my kids back this summer

I'm a well-known environmental educator and author specializing in edible/medicinal wild plants and mushrooms (see http://www.wildmanstevebrill.com). I work with day camps, schools, the public, and other organizations.
I tried contacting this camp repeatedly, online and via phone messages, and they couldn't even reply with so much as a "no thank you." These people are rude as well as anti-environmental.
The consistently bad reviews they're getting here are not surprising. I concur that parents should avoid sending their kids to a camp run by these obnoxious people.

Worst summer camp experience. Schedule is rarely followed and not specific. Kids have very aggressive behavior and minimal supervision from counselors. our child dealt with physical and verbal abuse. very unorganized! trips are short - they leave after lunch and barely spend time there for the extra money you pay for trips. complete show and waste of money! pay more and go to a decent camp!

The absolute worst! I paid for my child to go to this camp for three weeks. She only attended one week bc she was assaulted by another camper & I refuse to send her back. The camp counselors did NOTHING while it went on. I was not notified by the camp about the incident. There’s no supervision, the kids are basically doing nothing in the gym all day & Brandon is not even decent enough to respond to my emails & calls or give me a partial refund for the time that I paid for that’s going unused due to the camps lack of proper supervision. Awful experience with this camp.

Please don't waste your money sending your kids to young people's day camp Nassau county, it's a waste the kids do nothing !! Activities on the calendar almost never happens, the camp is unorganised. Please I sent my child summer of 2015, they take your money and do nothing with your children . Oh and you pay $40 per week for lunch and the kids gets a 4 piece 99 cents chicken nuggets a day for lunch... Brandon is a thief.. They care nothing about these kids after they got your money.. Maybe queens or Brooklyn is better . Stay clear of Nassau county

I sent my daughter to the camp. I am very displeased with the lack of attention and care she received. My daughter dealt with teasing, bullying, and aggressive children. I am so sorry I spent my money sending her. Also the director is unprofessional and doesn't welcome parent communication.

My daugher went here for 2 years. The staff was great and for the price it was a perfect way to spend the summer.

young people's day camp is fantastic. This camp offers a wide variety of activities and trips for it's campers. YPDC swims in the best pools in Nassau County!!They include water playgrounds. Kids love it
