I think that Sjolunden is an okay place. It is was not the worst experience and was not the best. It was my first year there and I'm not planning to go back. The environment with everyone feels pretty fake and it was not very wonderful. I also didn't learn very much by any means!

All of the other campers at the other villages i met said that they liked sjolunden the best, and my past experiences as 4 years of being a villager there it is the most amazingly place! my second home!!

Having attended several different CLV villages, I have to say that Sjolunden is absolutely FANTASTIC!! After 10 summers, two as a credit student, I'm nearly fluent in the language. The staff is amazing. The personal connections you make with them last far beyond camp, transcending age. They range from dancers, to teachers, to Green Peace workers - all very inspirational. Without Sjolunden, I wouldn't have nearly as clear an idea of what I want to do with my life. Camp is incredibly fun (needless to say), and the campers are wonderful, and I can't wait to be a counselor! Yes, Sjolunden is expensive, but it is VERY well worth it. There is no other place in the world like it. Priceless!!
