DO NOT SEND YOUR KIDS HERE! This camp values money more than the well being of your children. If theres any emotional distress of the child, they dont let kids reach their parents by any means. My child was being bullied and the camp continuously let it happened. The staff along with the campers are so cliquey and will leave out anyone they dont "like." Horrible people run this camp, they couldnt care less about your child's well-being.

Worse camp ever! Stay away. If you are a newcomer prepare treated with very little regard. It's very much so a clicky environment. The junior counselors that look after the young preschoolers are very immature and do little to help ease the fears or anxieties of the children they care for. If your child needs to go to the bathroom they are constantly told no. If your child is crying because they miss home they are scolded. The owner seems to be more interested in money than the welfare of the children. A total waste of $500/wk. Go elsewhere.

Both my sons attended this camp one for six years and they try very hard to give personal attention particularly in the younger years. They hire experienced teachers as counselors for ages 5 - 8. They have the best activities to offer in the area. Of course this is South Florida and if the summer is very hot, humid and rainy all the time it is difficult to do everything indoors so if you kids don't just like to hang out sometimes with their friends on rainy days you should send them up North where the weather is better. Don't blame it on the camp. They try their hardest to get everyone involved and have a lot of great indoor activiities when it rains. It is not a camp for kids with social skills problems. There are better camps for that type of child (I know because one of my sons is like that). Choose the right camp for your child. Don't try to mold the camp into what you think they should be for your child. They are great at what they do and offer a fabulous camp experience.

not sure what these other people are saying. My child has been a camper at ELC for 10 summers. It is by far the best camp experience my children have had. I am a former camp director and know from experience that ELC is top notch. They care about everything from top to bottom.

It is fun and there is always new things like they made an arcade and they get a new water slide every week.

My son has been going to this camp for five years. The campus itself (at North Broward Prep) is very pretty. It looks like a northeast camp. The camp program is good until your child reaches about 7-8 years of age and then you will find the offered activities just don't cut it anymore. The food is mediocre and the supervision is OK - it really depends on the individual counselors. The program is divided into three sessions. The third session is a complete waste of money. They even start breaking down all the activities so by the last few days your child spends alot of time just hanging out in the cabin.
