Dear employee: if you do this for the good of the kids,please find an organization that really needs you,not this profit driven haven for the wealthy privileged.If you are looking for an experience for the summer and want to share your heart and soul with children,find a place to volunteer your time where there is real need, not for a profit driven leadership team lining their pockets with the $14k they charge each camper.Spend your energy on someone who really needs and deserves it, who lacks the resources.The stern environment created by this management is crushing, and there are a lot of alternative places you can enjoy your summer and make a difference. Please, find an organization invested in children, rather than their own ego and interest.You can do better, both ethically and financially.

As a former Dept head I have witnessed inaapropriate sex, underage drinking and drugs, a unsafe dining hall with firecode violations, campers left alone,asleep every night, and a male staff hired to lure young female campers into attending the camp.

Awful management!! Dropped my daughter off at a bus stop by herself at 10pm when she had a family illness.. Even though she made arrangements to leave a few days later on a train. SHAME ON THEM!!! As if we didn't have enough to worry about! Wouldn't allow her to say goodbye to her friends she had made - absolutely deplorable. Never checked to be sure she was okay - just left her at in a dangerous place late at night with no concern for well-being!

ROMACA- its more than just a camp its a life experience, the girls iv met here are like no other friends iv made, when im sad they know how to cheer me up!! they are my sisters. When you step into camp romaca you feel tranquility and laughter. The traditions continue from year to year making it a special place to return. Mostley everyone is friends, and there is always someone for everyone. Honestly i have looked at all diffrent camps and nothing compares to romaca send your child hear so they can experience the best happiness around. i honestly can say i dont know what i would do without romaca in my life its on my mind everyday and every second. I plan on sending my children to romaca and you should 100% send your girll as well!! Although the actives are fun the time spent hanging out with your division, talking, playing cards, and laughing is what i went back for every year for six years. Some people get homesick, but i get camp sick. THERE IS NOT PLACE LIKE ROMACA!!!

I worked for this camp in 1997 - to be honest, it was one of the worst experiences of my life. The administration is horrible, they do not have the insight to manage as many staff as they have. The children are away from home for too long with little contact from home. I feel that the came is over priced for little quality.

My camp friends are not my friends. They are my SISTERS! I have never had a sister and always wanted one, and Romaca has granted that wish. I have been going for 2 summers, next being my third, and I cannot explain the bonds I have made in my summer home. The facilities are all so beautiful, and they take time worrying about the little things that make it so great. My counselors are my mommies, but they are more like really responcible, caring big sisters. Every girl is just so nice, and although some may not be as great, its life! there isn't a camp where everyone is nice...its not possible! There are so many different feelings that remind me of camp...just the feeling of lying on my bed at rest hour writing letters and playing cards with my bunkmates. I wouldn't trade it for the world. I love my fellow romacans and I hope to meet many new ones to share my love for this amazing place!xoxoxo I LOVE MY SISTERS

I was a counselor at Romaca this past summer. It's a fantastic camp. The kids worship this place! It's their life! There is something so addicting that makes kids come back year after year. Everything about Romaca is soooooo much fun!

ive been going for 5 summers and romaca is amazing. i have made so many friends. Friends here will last you a lifetime. there is so much to do here, you will never get bored. They have so many traditions that they have kept and never changed. Everything is great at romaca. Every summer when i get home from camp, i am always so depressed for 2 months at the least. romaca is the most amazing camp on earth! not to mention its beautiful! i love it, and everyone loves it as well. yay romaca!

Romaca is a beautiful camp filled with love, strong traditions and friendship. Campers are treated with care and respect. I feel blessed to have had the opportunity to attend Romaca and will always remember the wonderful memories that started there. My camp friends are my best friends and will remain that way for the rest of my life. I cannot wait until my daughter is old enough to attend so I can give her the gift of strong meaninful friendships that my parents gave to me by sending me to Romaca.

You would think this is a top-notch camp, but no money is put back into camp. The bunks are hellacious (except for the older girls). The campers go to activities by themselves (all counselors are specialists) and so supervision is minimal. Something about this camp is very "cold".

I have been going to Romaca for 3 years soo far! I am continuing to go back until Romrec and maybe more! Everyone is so nice and the activities are always soo fun! Since its such a small camp most of the camp activities take part of the campers summer to take time and meet other campers! Most of the Sunday activities include the whole camp! No one is ever left out! Traditions stay alive at Romaca camp.

Having gone to Romaca as a camper and counselor for 12 years in the 80s and 90s- I can truly say this is a magical and incredible place that has made me who I am today. The traditions, the people, the activities are all incredible and so much fun. My only job now is to find a co-ed camp or boy/girl camps next door to each other to send my boy/girl twins too.

The ectivities are awesome and once your a seniour you get to choose some activities! Everyone makes so many friends and i did too! I'll admit some of the counslers aren't the best, but who is?

this camp is not only my summer home but the best place in the world. as i return to Romaca each summer i make even more awesome memories. although their might be some crazy campers, the rest are normal, cool and have a positive approach the camp life. the staff is amazing and very welcoming as well as the directors. camp romaca has truly changed my life (in a good way) and i hope others can feel as passionate for it as i do. <333

I love camp romaca. Itis the best camp in the world. All the girls are so nice and for the most part are able to get along. They have amazing traditions and are able to keep them flowing. Every person has learned something about themself when they came to came. Sisterhood is a bonding and unbreakable and thats how i would describe romaca an amazing bonding experience that allows girls to be sisters forever.

this camp; is not soo bad but, they dont have a pool and in order to get to the lake you have to cross an old rusty bridge that goes right over a busy road. not to metion the feild you have to cross /, filled will deer and geese****!

if you think belvoir is better than romaca you need desperate help. sorry we don't like sitting around, not exercising and being untraditional. everything about romaca is amazing!! you cannot find another place in the world like it. everyone knows everyone and you make not only best friends, but sisters at romaca that will last forever. its also gorgeous and all camps envy it when they come for sport invites but its still traditional which is a great part of the camp. I LOVE ROMACA IT IS LIFEEEEEEEEE ps-romaca is amazing and a we always win, go there if you don't wanna lose like watitoh does every year...

I have gone to camp Romaca for 5 years and i am so excited to go back for my 6th. This camp truly means the world to me. I know of course this camp is not for everyone, but i truly believe that if you give it a fare shot you will fall in love as I did. The girls, the staff, the activites, and everything eles is amazing. This camp is a fun, loving, super spirited, tight bonded,and well rounded camp with evrything to make for a fantastic summer. I really do feel at home there and I miss it terribly the whole school year. I love Camp ROMACA!!!

There's an old saying, "Once a Romacan, always a Romacan" and it's so true. There are many wonderful camps in the Berkshires but none compare to Romaca. If you're looking for a summer home with a family atmospher and caring people, search no further.

Camp Romaca has gotten progressively larger and less personal, but hopefully it will maintain its traditional roots and not expand so much that it becomes like all other camps. The counselors are amazing; the administration is a little less amazing. The 8 week aspect is fantastic and should NEVER be changed! It is beautiful and my favorite place on earth!

I spent many years working at this camp. I could have spent my summers at a country club, sitting poolside, but instead found it extremely gratifying to work with such amazing and caring people. You will NEVER find another camp that cares as much about your child. My own girls had experiences that changed their lives. Romaca Rocks!!
