The activities are fun and out trip is always the highlight. It is in a beautiful location and it feels like a whole other world than the city. There is a large selection of activities including archery, canoeing, kayaking, swimming, arts and crafts, hiking, paddleboarding, camp craft, and many more activities. Also they offer subsidies to make sure everyone can attend. The only bad thing about Camp Potlatch is because they do not have very much funding the bathrooms are in disrepair and often there is only one toilet working. I love this camp for giving me so many experiences that I would have never had without camp. I look forward to going back every year. RID: 53217

Click to report rating    7/20/17   2     5     5     1     5   Our daughter went with an old cell phone NO service NO internet(camera). None of the staff were understanding of her feelings and went just straight to ban her "cellphone" use!She even explained every one of them that there was no cell phone function in it but they rather prohibited the use of it than actually communicate humanly with an 8 y.o: "they are not allowed" and ruled her out/crush her dreams of documenting her first camp away from home! Not listening is a form of bullying. Now she does not have any pictures of her experience and she's brokenhearted, when she talks about it she just cries so bitterly. That just isn't nice, actually its kinda cruel. We went to Costco to look for things for her to bring with and cameras were just out of our price range, so we thought: an old cellphone with not service it is obviously not a phone, they'd understand thiS. Summer camp than would rather foment consumerism instead of the recycling and re use of old devices? We don't get it. RID: 51063

Click to report rating    1/13/07   5     5     5     5     5   Wow. It's hard to put into word's just what this camp has done for me. I first went at the age of 7 and continued until the age of 16. I regret not being able to go beyond that. Some of the best times of my entire life were spent at potlatch, so much so that i considered it like home when i was there. I knew that place like the back of my hand, and it was so comfortable. I cried many times when it was time to go back to the city and leave the friends and outdoors'y fun i had there. I'll be back as a CIT one day so watch out kiddlies! I reccomend this camp HIGHLY as a safe, amazingly fun, caring, informational, personal and healthy experience, for any kid or teen. I will never forget the times i had there and i miss being there all the time. Go to Camp Potlatch, i guarantee you won't want to leave. Good times. <3 RID: 6744
Click to report rating    10/10/06   5     4     5     5     5   Looooved it. God, the bugs are a menace, but this camp was soooo great. Cool activities, and lots of friends to meet. (i still have a few from last summer) There is swimming (freezing water), fishing, real rock climbing, hiking, caving, (stay away from the cave walls{you don't wanna know}) and the caf food is surprisingly good. I really loved it. RID: 3889
