10/22/06   5     5     4     5     5   I went there this summer and I found the staff really nice. This camp is owned by a non-profit organization so obviously the value is good. As for the facilities, it's not bad except for the older cabins/lodges that smell a little damp. For activities, you could hike or walk around the lake and swampy areas and go through a "rope course". The waterfront area (swimming, canoeing, kayaking, beach)is watched by a lifeguard during the day so little children are safe. A minor criticism would be the limited number of activities. Archery is available as long as a certicified person is on duty. Overall, a fun and enjoyable camping place with lots of amenties and is only a 30 minute drive from the city. RID: 4248
Click to report rating    10/10/06   4     4     3     3     4   It's a good camp for little kids. Kayaking, swiming, canoeing, and hiking are available, not counting running around the huge, cool place. Lots of swampy areas, thick forest and old wilderness, that almost seems man-made., because there are climbable stumps, large rocks and swamps in just the right places. RID: 3890
